Good service, good food, good value. You know it's good if it's where the locals go. We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday (closed on Wednesdays) and went for the Crazy burrito. The portion was generous and we took leftovers home for supper! The flavors blended well and had that comforting home cooked flavor. We both loved the green chili and found the beans above average, reminding us of the homemade, all day + simmered, beans off of a wood-fired stove in the alps when we lived in europe. Yes, they were good. The atmosphere was hole in the wall cafe, where all the best food is found. I did enjoy the mural on the wall, the on going local conversation, and the familiarity between staff and customers. In the midst of that, we felt welcome. I forgot to get pictures of the menu. Prices were quite a bit higher than shown previously. However the portions and value were good and we didn't know until leaving that the price included the tip. I'm not sure if that was the case for previous menus. Stop in and enjoy! Glad to give them my recommendation. read more

The food and coffee were good and the waitress did an amazing job managing the tables on a very busy Saturday morning. We only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Portion sizes are huge, but if you don't like to eat a lot of food in one sitting, it can mean a lot of waste and walking away from the meal not feeling so good. I do not recommend the sopapillas - too greasy, very little bread to them. The salsas are fantastic! read more

I recommend ordering the tacos and from the breakfast menu. I had a combination plate. The red and green chile sauces were very much a thick gravy lacking strong chile flavors. The service was great and the waitresses, polite and helpful. The restaurant atmosphere is peaceful with limited self seating. Great cozy little mom and pop Mexican/breakfast restaurant. Can't beat the taste, price, and portions! I got the deluxe French toast and was surprised by how much food there was. Their homemade potatoes are delicious. I also like that they serve complimentary chips with a red and green salsa. On April 22, my husband and I had breakfast at the Crazy Corner Cafe in Alamosa, CO. It was our first visit, and found that the restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall. We had to seat ourselves, then waited, but we did not wait very long. There was only one server, but she was superhuman as she flew from one table to another, serving each table their food, bussing the table, then providing the check. She was amazing to watch! The food was not bad at all either. While we waited for our food, we had homemade nachos to munch on with homemade red and green chile, that were so good! We both had the "Build Your Own" Omelet which were also very good, and humongous! We had the same breakfast the next day, but at home! We are definitely going back!!! read more

The is one of the best cafes I've been to in Colorado and New Mexico. Green and Res Chile are authentic very tasteful. They have homemade tortillas. Didn't have pancakes or French roast but they were made to look delicious. Extremely clean inside. Highly recommend this little hidden gemstone . read more

Crazy Corner Cafe' is a couple of blocks from our house and it ROCKS! The food is delicious, the one server can't keep any weight on because she never stops moving :-). I remember her from another restaurant she used to be a waitress in, she was always a fantastic, customer oriented waitress! Now she is part of the ownership, from what I understand, and I'm glad she is where she belongs!! She is one of the best I have ever seen in the industry! The portion sizes are very large so if you don't want very much food for your money, this isn't the place for you. You definitely get your money's worth. Finally checked out this local spot and LOVED it! The service was great, food didn't take long, the prices are fair - especially considering that you get a ton of food - and everything tasted great. I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing about our visit. I loved being able to have chips and salsa at breakfast time, both salsas were great - the green packed a bit of a punch, and the red is full of flavor with a nice heat that wasn't too overpowering. My eggs were cooked perfectly, and I loved the French toast. Hubs really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros, ordered Christmas style of course. He really liked that it was served on top of a tortilla and that a few extra tortillas came with the dish. I really wouldn't change a thing about our visit and we will definitely be back! read more

Amazing flavors in their food- breakfast was so great, I'll be going back. This is a very local place.

First of all, the name of the server that other reviewers mentioned is Alicia. She was great. I showed her the reviews that mentioned her. She thought that was nice and giggled a bit. Next, the food. Excellent. We had the combo platter and the enchilada platter. Definitely no skimping on the portion sizes - they were huge! Another reviewer was very impressed with the frijoles - we were too. Delicious! Lastly, the restaurant. Family owned feeling and very clean. When we come back to Alamosa, we know where we'll eat! read more

First timer and loved it. Plain old fashioned breakfast, eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. Delicious. Plenty of specialty choices. The french toast looked great. But the pancake, as big as your head and at least a half inch thick, was amazing. The big guy that ordered it barely made a dent in it. Service was excellent and attentive. This is a must for anyone remotely near by. We went on a Saturday morning and it was busy but should be packed with food this good. I had an egg breakfast with bacon and a pancake. Pancake was huge. Bacon was perfectly cooked and had a great Smokey flavor. The hubs had huevos rancheros with homemade tortillas. SO good. Service was the best. read more

I come here every time I visit friends in Alamosa. They make a great breakfast for a good price and the service is good too.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. Hands down the best breakfast in all of Alamosa. The whole feel of the establishment was small town, family owned. Every time I've gone there the same waitress is literally running from table to table refilling drinks, serving dishes, making sure your visit is top tier. I wish I knew her name to give her a personal thank you for all her hard work and dedication to her job. The icing on the cake is the fact the beans are home made. Majority of establishments serve straight out of the cam mashed beans while this one reminds me of growing up with my grandma having fresh refried beans on the stove every day. Every time I go it makes me feel like I'm home again if even just for a half hour or hour. Have zero hesitation coming here. read more

Decided to try this little local place and I have to say it was the best decision! Service was so fast and our waitress was truly great. The food really hit the spot and the portions were incredibly generous. My 6'4" husband actually had leftovers which almost never happens. Definitely recommend Crazy Corner Cafe! read more
