You know the old saying. If you want to find good food in a town you don't know very well, eat where the locals eat. Boogies is awesome! You get the real feel of Colorado there. Lots of super awesome locals, farmers, ranchers, etc. all hanging out and enjoying a great meal at Boogies!! We stopped for breakfast. We'd heard about how good it was from my brother-in-law who had eaten there before. It was a great tip! The portions are generous and the pancakes are HUGE!!! I tried the chicken fried steak, which is new on the menu. It was a little tough, and my dad's sausage was a little tough, but everything else was super fantastic!! The service was terrific and the coffee is perfect!! We bought a couple of their gigantic cinnamon rolls to go. It was a nice treat to eat when we got home later that day. Be sure and bookmark this place for breakfast or lunch if you're ever passing through Del Norte. You'll love the experience!

Good breakfast from just about the only breakfast place that is open in this town. Eggs cooked to order, greasy bacon, hash browns and your choice of toast. Standard fare, but done well. Coffee served until you say stop. Service was acceptable, but not exceptional, quick or particularly friendly. Everything reasonably priced.

It took over one hour to get breakfast. There was no half and half. I literally had to get my own coffee at the counter. I hope you're not in a hurry if you are eating here. Food was great. Locals were awesome, friendly folks. Food was 4 or 5 stars, but painfully slow. Probably a fluke, but it was REALLY slow.

Great food & service. Extremely clean dining areas and they'll give you huge volumes! Highly recommended, if you are in or near Del Norte!

Good shakes/malts. Decent burgers. The shakes were…read moredefinitely the highlight! 2 malts(a chocolate and a banana pudding) and peanut butter chocolate shake. (You can't go wrong with Blue Bell) The burgers were pretty mediocre, better than fast food but not a draw to bring us back (one was a bit dry). The fries were very good, the right amount of crisp outside and soft inside with good seasoning. It is pretty much what one might expect from a roadside burger and malt joint. There is inside and outside dining. Service was great. It is order at the window and seat yourself but they weren't super busy and brought our order to us when it was ready. We would and probably will go back for malts and maybe try the Frito pie.

We got the strawberry malt, Oreo malt, Snickers Avalanche (similar to a DQ Blizzard, but BETTER because they put more snickers), and the onion rings. WOOOOW! All of the desserts were amazing!...AND the onion rings were the best onions rings I've ever had. I live in a huge city (Phoenix), so I definitely have had my fair share of rings from dozens and dozens of places. None of them compare to the rings here. The workers were ao kind and gave each of my dogs a pup cup when we came with them. They also had a dog bowl with water outside for people who bring their dogs. We will definitely be back every year when we visit Colorado.

The beer work is shrinking. Some this is the result of over-saturation, and the reality that you…read morecan no longer expect local craft beer to be worth the price. Not so with Riff Raff. Every single beer on tap was quality. Even if the style wasn't your favorite, it was still quality. But for for me, I thought every beer was delicious. To tag along, the was also high quality (that goat burger was amazing). I can't finish this without giving a nod to the Service, our bartender, she was great. Finally, I loved the ambiance. It fit the entire vibe and would recommend this to anyone

Last week, my wife, two friends, and I were vacationing in Pagosa Springs for the first time. We…read moreabsolutely fell in love with the town. The scenery, the weather, and the overall atmosphere were incredible. On July 9th, we decided to have dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio. We were told the wait could be up to an hour, so we told the hostess we'd gladly take the first available table. We ordered drinks at the outdoor bar while we waited, and I want to specifically recognize the bartender, who provided outstanding customer service and made us feel welcome. Ironically, we were called much sooner than expected, but that's when our experience took a disappointing turn. When we returned to the hostess stand, we politely asked if we could be seated outside since the weather was beautiful and the live band was fantastic. I'm not sure what about that request upset the hostess, but her attitude changed immediately. Without saying a word, she turned around and walked away. She never told us to follow her or asked us to wait. We were left standing there wondering what we were supposed to do. A few moments later, we walked outside and saw her throwing menus onto a table. She never acknowledged us or indicated that it was our table. We assumed it was and sat down, but the entire interaction was uncomfortable and unnecessarily rude. My friend even went over to the hostess to apologize in case we had somehow offended her, making it clear that upsetting her was never our intention. She never acknowledged the apology, nor did she apologize for the way she had treated us. We decided to continue with our meal, and before bringing up the issue, I wanted to make sure our food had arrived so it wouldn't affect our server or the kitchen. Afterward, I asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, that conversation was just as disappointing. Rather than apologizing for the hostess's behavior, he immediately defended it by saying she was only 16 years old and that it's difficult to find good help. While I understand that young employees are still learning, age is not an excuse for treating customers disrespectfully. More importantly, leadership should model accountability. A simple, sincere apology would have gone a long way. Instead, the manager became defensive. Later, he returned and told me he had comped 50% of my meal which, ironically, was just a kid's grilled cheese and fries. The discount completely missed the point. I wasn't looking for free food, nor did I ask for a discount. I would have gladly paid the full bill. What I wanted was accountability, professionalism, and the basic courtesy of acknowledging that our experience was handled poorly. Everyone has bad days. I truly believe that. But customer service isn't measured when everything goes right; it's measured by how problems are handled when something goes wrong. In this case, both the hostess and the manager failed. It's unfortunate because the location is beautiful, the food was good, and the bartender was excellent. Those positives were completely overshadowed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. We absolutely plan to return to Pagosa Springs because it's a wonderful place. However, we will not be returning to Riff Raff on the Rio, nor could I recommend it based on our experience. I genuinely hope the restaurant takes customer service more seriously in the future, because a beautiful location alone cannot overcome poor hospitality. Please do better, Riff Raff.
