The staff was amazing! You're greeted at the door with a shot and they even got a shot of cranberry juice for our 20 year old friend. They did their best to make her feel welcome and included. People under 21 are asked to leave at 10. All of the staff are awesome. The owners ex mother in law was probably our favorite. She recommended the rum bucket and she was spot on. It was amazing. All four of us shared the $10 pulled pork nachos and got pretty full. The drinks were reasonably priced. Great little local bar. You can smoke inside, and that sucks. We were stopping by to purchase a T-shirt for my husband. Craig. We were approached by a server by the name of Kim and she gave us many reasons to stay, so we did. She was so friendly and gave us spot on recommendations on what to eat and drink. We had the brisket quesadillas and the pulled pork nachos and they were both absolutely delicious! Another server stopped by to speak to us a couple of times as well which is unheard of at most restaurants. Truly a great experience! I love going to this place every time I'm in town about every two months. Everyone is always friendly. Only grief I have is the beer is not cold enough. I have complained to different bartenders the bottle beer is always warm or should I say not cold like I prefer and get from other establishments. What an awesome bar! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and given a sample shot of some kind of Monkey "juice". We had amazing service with probably 3 different servers coming over to introduce themselves and asking for our names as well. This place was amazing! From the food to the drinks and to the service. When we first sat down we were greeted with a tasty shot of their special drink. Not So Cheeky We were in town for business meetings and wanted to escape the $10 well drinks at the Hotel lounge this was our first stop and it won't happen again. Our journey into the door took us by the bouncer who was a regular old stone faced bouncer, my first step into the door I noticed the hazy smoke and would remain smoking everyone else's cigarettes the remainder of the time we were there. (Which I could deal with if it was a good time.) Went straight to the bar where the bartender greeted us with free shots of the Monkey fuel. Bartenders were very friendly and most of the people were fun too that we encountered in our first few moments there. We decided to get a bucket of beers and grab a table. One of the guys we were with felt a sharp edge on the rim of his bottle about a quarter of the way into the bottle. They had chiped off part of the bottle when popping the cap off which happens and is not a big deal. What was a big deal was how they handled it. The waitress came over and he asked that it be replaced obviously not wanting to find out if the glass shard was in the bottle. The waitress proceeded to joke with him telling him to "not be a p**sy". Instead of replacing the beer she came back with a glass and grabbed the beer from him and poured it into the glass very quickly. She was standing a bit away from us and none of us actually observed her pouring the glass but she handed it back to him and said "no glass" and walked off. First taste he looked sick and handed it to us to try the beer tasted like it had chew spit in it when we lifted it up there was clearly a loogey at least stuck to the bottom of the glass. The guy we were with justifiably ripped the waitress a new one that poured the glass as Crazy Craig came over he offered to replace it and apologized (obviously it wasn't his fault but it's his place) but he also played it off saying "oh that's just the left overs from an Irish car bomb we poured earlier." There is no way that taste was from an Irish car bomb but on the slight chance it was it is completely nasty that when or if they wash their glasses that much is left in the bottom of the glass. As we were talking to Crazy Craig about it some old guy that was with the band that had been playing when we got there and was now at the pool tables came over and said, "get them the f*** out of here." That was our que. We were out. A cab was waiting out front and as we got in Crazy Craig the bouncer and a few guys that looked to be apart of the goon squad came out on the front porch to stare us down. The cab driver even commented that we "got that place all rialed up". The cab driver took us to the sports bar down the street a bit that was doing Karaoke and the night ended a hell of a lot better than it started. While most of the people at the Cheeky Monkey were very friendly at first they handled our situation very unprofessionaly and we won't ever go back. read more

First off we i thought my wife was taking me on a detox retreat. All the shows are dry(No Booze) So off the Branson Belle and straight to the first bar I saw! Cheeky Monkey. Crazy Craig was not there but cheeky Craig was (Son). ICE COLD BEER, a free greeting shot, Free Pool, Keno yes live Keno playing and a great Jukebox. It is smokey but everyone was very friendly. We are from out of state and while visiting were on the hunt for a good bar to stop in at. I'm really glad we ended up coming here. The entire staff at some point introduced themselves to us and made conversation with us. That alone was a completely different experience than any other bar I'm used to. There didn't seem to be one demographic they catered to at this bar either. I feel like a lot of bars seem to find their "niche" of people, but this bar had everyone when we stopped in, all ages and backgrounds. Neither my fiance or I felt out of place stopping in and even the locals were curious and friendly towards us too. The drinks were great and not watered down as another reviewer seemed to think. I'm one of the worst lightweights out there, but with the average sizes of drinks at bars I've been to in the past, it usually takes four to get to me. It took me just a few here, monkeys uncle and monkey colada, and I can't remember the last drink's name, but it's pictured below, to get me feeling it. The drinks were yummy, of a generous size, and only $5-7 each. I also bought the single burger that came with a side and it was delicious as well, and again reasonably priced at $8. Other highlights for me included clean bathrooms, choices of pool and darts, live music, and that it was smoking friendly. If we ever stop through again, we will be coming back. I only wish we could bring this gem back home with us to Nebraska. read more
