He is very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, respectful, and always offers thoughtful suggestions without being pushy. For this project, he came by about three times and did several things: moved the sink and toilet plumbing about a foot to the left (this was my request because I plan to install a handicap-accessible shower in the future), installed a new cabinet and toilet, mounted a mirror with hidden electrical, replaced outdated lighting with recessed lighting, and handled drywall work and prep for paint. Check out the before and after pics! 2) Garbage disposal replacement: I called him on a Friday, and we were able to schedule for Monday. He showed up right on time, finished in about 20 minutes, and cleaned everything up afterward. He's efficient, professional, and just genuinely nice to work with. It helped, but there's still enough of a leak that we need him to come back and finish the job. Unfortunately, after initially saying he hadn't forgotten about us and he would be getting some additional assistance from a roof specialist, he never followed up. I checked back with him repeatedly by text and phone and he never responded. He was so helpful and attentive before that at this point I suspect something's up and he might no longer be operating (or has perhaps scaled down?). At any rate, we're now out the money we paid him for the initial work and need to find someone else who will come by and fix the ongoing issue.

Kyle did an incredible job remodeling our shower…read more We initially contacted a bath remodeler that advertises a lot, but were turned off at the initial cost ($9K, not including fixtures or even the shower door), wanting half up front and scheduled 90 days out. Nope, not gonna do it. We found out about Moore Than Locks through my wife's office building, where Kyle is the go-to for locks an general handyman type requirements. Checked out his website, saw that he truly did do Moore Than Locks and contacted him for a quote on the job. His job was to just tear out the existing shower, re-align the plumbing (the new shower is 4" wider so had to re-center the fixture and drain) and install the new, as we were able to purchased all the materials through home depot (took advantage of 24months same as cash...hey, why not use their money...right?!). Kyle came out, checked out what needed to be done and gave us a quote. We agreed, set a tentative date for install. He showed up on time, cleaned up after every work day and got the job done in 2 fewer days than expected. As it took less time, his final bill was less than quoted (not something most contractors would ever consider!). The shower came out way above our expectations and has been a joy to use. Kyle is professional, able, considerate and a great communicator. I look forward to using him again on future projects (there are always a few!!) and highly recommend him.

First time I met Kyle - about six years ago - was at my house in S. Reno. I had two other 'professionals' try to fix two of my gas fireplaces in my home, which were broken. Both walked away saying they had no idea what was wrong, yet charged me for their services. Kyle shows up and, I kid you not, after 10 or 15 minutes, he tells me both fireplaces are up and running!!! I kid you not! Since he charges by the hour, my bill was quite a bit less than I was definitely ready to pay. As I walked with him to his van, I suggested that instead of charging by the hour, he charge by the job. Why? Because he's so 'fricken' good at what he does, he would help others but make more money vs charging by the hour. I told him he was too good. He appreciated my viewpoint, but told me he was more interested in helping clients at the lowest cost possible. All I could say was 'Wow!' Where did this guy come from? Fast forward 3 years and I had forgotten the combination to my home safe. I asked Kyle to come by and check it out. Since he's a licensed or certified locksmith, he was able to call the company who made my safe and immediately retrieve my combination!!! Damn! Not only is he amazing with safes, but in the time I've know him (about six years now), he's never walked away from a problem and not fixed it!!! I love how it was designed. Hidden heavy duty metal posts that are doubled at the gates. Welded metal framed gate structure cross braced against sagging. Higher quality cedar than what's available at the box stores and redwood top cap and stainless steel torx screws. No nails. This qualified as very good value for the high quality of work performed and the materials used. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the results.
