Disappointed We stopped by this location this morning for a graduation breakfast. Initially we called to check and make sure they weren't very busy. We only had a party of three so they advised that there was no wait to be seated. When we arrived we waited about five minutes to be seated. Which was great. But we ended up waiting 25 minutes or more just to submit our food order. The waitress only came to our table after we requested from two different employees to be served. Two tables that came in after us were served before us. Both of those tables were only 2 to 3 people. When Sonia finally arrived to take our order she did apologize for the delay. Which was appreciated. The food came fairly quickly, but we had to request silverware to eat it. The silverware was dirty when we received it. We mentioned that to Sonia and she just took the silverware with no response. Be sure to check your silverware before you eat! In the end, we had to grab our own boxes and track our waitress down for our check. It just felt like we were forgotten about in the middle of everyone else. To say we're disappointed is putting it lightly. I haven't eaten at crazy otto's in so long I was definitely looking forward to it as their food is normally very good and their service is normally very friendly and efficient. I'm not sure what the issue was today but it definitely left a sour taste in our mouths and we're not sure if we wanna come back. read more

I had a horrible experience today at Crazy Ottos. Our servers were either not wearing masks at all or continued to constantly remove it when talking to customers. The servers also continued to scratch their noses, rub their hands through their hair, and wipe their faces and then serve the food and hand out utensils and drinks. When we first sat down at our table we informed one of the servers that we were going to have split checks. Before we were even finished eating our server was rushing us to pay the bill because she was leaving soon. Then she gave us a difficult time about splitting our bill. Finally, one of the most disturbing images was that one of the employees was sweeping the entire restaurant floor then immediately used the same broom and started sweeping off the tables where people eat! I've been coming to this restaurant since the 90's. Pricing nowadays is crazy for any breakfast, I understand this. So you would think all staff would be grateful we chose them to enjoy a meal. Crazy Ottos on Ave I forgot this theory of survival. Great customer service is EVERYTHING to a customer. I gave it one last shot. Their waitress, cannot multi task. a quick, Hey Welcome, I'll be right with you! (W a smile) NOPE, and did not respond when I told her Good Morning. I still gave another chance, sat ordered coffee n Cocoa's for my two babygrands. She didn't smile, nor was she welcoming nor glad we were there. (First customers of the morning too, with no one else for her to serve))??? So, I asked for the check, and left her a note as to why we were leaving. Honestly I've tried giving this place a chance twice but I will never go back the food is tasteless it's quite expensive they serve big portions but none of that matters if the food don't taste good. I ordered Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was very dry, and no taste whatsoever. and please do not try the coleslaw. Wasn't sure which direction this place was going, started out good, they were fairly quick to seat us. However, once seated, waited about 25 mins. for our server to come and just take our drink order. He was was very nice, got our drinks to us and finally took our food order. I decided to order the appetizer sampler and my husband ordered a grilled roast beef sandwich. After waiting a substantial amount of time for our food, my order was delivered, but my husband was still waiting. After waiting 20 mins. we thought they forgot about his order, and when we inquired about the his order with the server who delivered our food, she said it was on the way. When he finally got his food order, they delivered a cold roast beef sandwich, obviously, not grilled and not correct. Our server apologized and informed us they were having computer complications, understandable. When my husband finally received the correct meal he was very satisfied and said it was worth the wait. I tried a little of his meal and it was very good. Actually, liked his better than what I ordered. If we're back in Lancaster we will give them another chance because the food was worth it and our server was very nice and apologetic. Knowing that they had computer issues and possible staffing issues, I gave them a four star rating. Hopefully, they will resolve they're computer issues so things can run more smoothly. read more

Let's just say the portions here are huge. So if you're coming here, make sure you have the room for it. I ordered the Otto's burger meat omelet and I only got the half order and barely finished it. Now imagine the full order. And I'm usually know for eating a lot and having a big appetite. But I did kind of struggled with this. Everything was good and service was good to. read more

I went in to order an to-go order. After about 10 minutes waiting I was told the system was down and I needed to pay cash. Funny thing, customers that came in after were not told. Then when I asked how much I owed she reminded me again the system was down but was able to go to the register and put in my order and showed me the receipt with the total. I have visited this location a few times before and never had a problem. My last visit was a deal breaker for me. Ordered the ham and cheese omelette and it was horrible and tasteless. The ham seemed like it was boiled and had no flavor...the omelette was dry! It was as if it was cooked and wrapped around the tasteless ham. Although service was average, the food portions are astoundingly huge. Seeing people's reactions to these portion sizes is always fascinating to see. My friend and I ordered the Hobo Omelette, it was huge, but it was somewhat bland. The saving grace was the biscuits and gravy! The biscuit was not dry or hard! It was moist and it had a crunchy shell and a soft interior, and the best of all, it stayed that way for my whole time there! I do have high hopes for other dishes that they provide. If I could give no stars I would but that's not allowed. Super sad what's happened to this place over the last 5years or so. This used to be a favorite. The food is trash. Super simple, no flavor, canned ingredients, fatty meat. Way overpriced. Every time I've come ive always sworn I wouldn't come back. My son was visiting and requested this spot for breakfast so I felt inclined. We spent 70$ for 3 meals. Our food came out cold. Our order was messed up twice. The only thing people rave about here anymore are the portion sizes and even those are decreasing. I wish someone would step up for this place and start caring about the quality. We used to love coming here for family breakfasts. It used to be about community and quality service and great food at a reasonable price. Super bummed. We will not be coming back. When we entered we got sat down without any menus, having to pick them up ourselves. While ordering I specifically asked for sugar free syrup, and when the pancakes came they came with regular syrup, which endangers my health. After asking for sugar free again, the syrup had sugar in it. The server Sonia got upset when I told her I can't eat this pancakes pancakes.The coffee was severely watered down. My daughters french fries weren't even cooked. When we asked to remake them they just grabbed the plate and left my daughter with her sandwich on her hand just la napkin for her to eat on. What a fun place to eat American comfort food. Great food in amazing quantities. I got the Half of a Spanish omelet, and couldn't finish it. This is the only restaurant where I don't put sugar with the cream. If you bring the family...in most cases you can have younger children mooch off your plate and teens or even adults share and walk out with an inexpensive meal. Stopped here on the way from Mammoth Lakes. Reviews said it was a diner and were ok. Well, worst omelette I've ever eaten (or half-eaten). My plate was swimming in liquid. I got a half order and it was basically cheese, mushrooms and onion. Where's the egg? I was hungry so I tried to eat it, but after picking over it, threw it away.
