New England Fest witj added lobster and dungeness crab

Wow, slowest, slowest, slowest service of my life. We ordered the New England Fest. Our waitress's pager went off, and she said it was probably ours. Nope, we waited another 15 minutes. Finally received our food, no crackers for lobster/crab claws. After five minutes, we asked again and our waitress had an attitude stating they were being disinfected. We waited a minimum of 20 minutes for the cracker, and asked for another. She stated it was one per table. What? We had to ask multiple times for water. The corn was actually served cold like it had been previously frozen. The potatoes were mediocre. There were maybe 7 mussles for what they said was 1/2 pound. There was a ton of shrimp, 2 pieces of snow crab (1#), some clams and a lobster tail for $80. We added another small lobster for $10 (special). Also ordered 1/2 pound (1 portion) of dungeness crab for added cost. My favorite part was the butter and garlic sauce which was tasty. They had run out of both lomein and fried rice, so we ordered a side of plain rice. In the future I might get take out, but seriously doubt will dine in again after such slow and poor service. Total bill was over $200 with 20% gratuity added in automatically for poor service.

Words cannot begin to describe how special my time at this restaurant was. From beyond satisfactory service to food from the gods, I felt like the luckiest girl alive. To go to this establishment with my college girlfriends was perfect. Lots of laughs. It was two of my friends birthdays and a crab man came out dancing and they got a Polaroid photo put on the birthday wall. How cool is that. My friend erin and I ordered the New England platter and it was perfect for us. Just enough to fill the belly with shrimp and rice leftovers for the two of us. All the crab and lobster meat was well cooked and came out easy. The crazy mix was to die for. Recommend getting extra lemons on lemonade. The mussels were very large warning.

The restaurant is clean and the service was good. My sister, brother in law and I ordered the Shovel. And that it was. Everything was well cooked and between the three of us we nearly polished it off. If you're hankering for lots of seafood and a fun meal, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is the place.

My stomach is turning! My seafood bag was extremely oily. More oil then seasoning, even at the bottom. I noticed green mush in the crab meat. I am truly disgusted. $37 down the drain. This place was nice but each time I order it gets worse and worse. Yuck.

Crazy about seafood??? Well crazy seafood is for you! I love the seafood boils. And must say. I been to many of them and this place is one of the best. Right amount of seasoning plenty of seafood. Good for the price.. My son and I ordered one called the shovel and it literally came on a shovel! 2 lobster tails, Clams, mussels, snowcrabs and shrimp! Plenty of potatoes, corn and sausage Also somebody was having a birthday and they had somebody come out in a crab costume for the dessert presentation. Over all great place.

I have eaten at this restaurant on multiple occasions because I'm a fan of seafood. Most of the times i have good service or I ignore the bad service/ rude commentary from the workers because I'm simply hungry. Today I placed an order online, paid for all the fees, and when I got there I decided I would like to just stay and enjoy my meal. I KNEW there would be gratuity to pay since I decided to dine in. When I asked if it was okay to dine in as a customer I was straight up told "NO". The way it was said was like I didn't have the money. She told me and I quote, "No.....if you want ti dine in it's automatically 18% gratuity". Her tone was disgusting and I decided I wasn't even comfortable eating inside. I WOULD have payed the gratuity and any extra fees, yet the treatment was so bad with no question as to why? You guys need to do better with those attitudes.

First time visiting as I'm from the south, but when I return on my next trip, this will definitely be a restaurant I will patronize.

I got the brisket plate with two sides, I got the Cole slaw and the Mac and cheese . It was close to $23 . They also have chicken , pulled pork and smoke sausage plates . For $15 to $18 with 2 sides. And the Mac and cheese was very good , and no "up charge" one of the last places I went there was a $3 up charge . So I passed . Everything was great , great service , food came out in 10 minutes . For a "BBQ" place, Theodore's covers all of the usual bases - pulled pork, beef brisket, Baby Back Ribs, Short Ribs, St Louiis style ribs, chicken and sausage too. For those in the mood for something else, they also offer a couple of salads, and a tasty sounding Blackened Chicken Penne, burgers and incongruously, a smoked meatloaf dinner too! I'm a fan of meatloaf, but for this evening, I chose to stick with their staples and thus, the Baby Back Ribs plus my sides of chili and mac n cheese arrived soon upon our table. The Ribs were quite nearly fall-off-the-bone, moist and flavorful - I enjoyed slathering the ribs in the default BBQ sauces in squeeze bottles on our long dining table. PRO TIP: My compatriots who ordered the beef brisket found it dry and not to their liking. Maybe it was just that night.. who knows.. Either way, I wouldn't mind coming back.. Nothing too outstanding, but the ribs were certainly on point for me!

I took a friend here cause we went there last year for her birthday and she requested to go again…read morebecause we both enjoyed the Redfish Novelle dish which once again was flavorful and enjoyable. I did feel that the presentation could have been a little cleaner and a little more rice but the dish still held our tastebuds satisfied. We are both gluten free which can be difficult . We ordered their price fix menu which included salad, main dish and desert. We decided that was a good choice. The salad came with a lot of unsavory dead end pieces in it which immediately affects the taste and look of the salad. I would give that a very poor presentation with just a small amount of taste. The deserts that came with it were all gluten deserts. That required us to order an extra dish, the bananas foster which should be good. The presentation was not good at all. The bananas were not caramelized which is part of this signature dish and the bananas were mushy and tasteless. It came topped with ice cream. All in all a disappointing addition we had to pay for. The service was very good and I did tell the waiter of our disappointment with the bananas foster and he said " I am sorry" , I guess I should have asked for the manager but the waiter did suggest to take home the two deserts that we were owed. My husband would probably enjoy them. The cheese cake was very disappointing. It was dull, heavy and tasteless, I took a taste of the cheese parts. The apple strudel passable. They can do better. I know they have a large volume clientele but taste and presentation are key to returning customers at least it is to this customer and her friend. It will be awhile until we venture there again. Maybe they will take this review seriously and make some changes. I would suggest adding a gluten free desert offering to the price fix desert menu like flourless chocolate cake or chocolate mousse something if you want to attract a larger more versatile clientele. The redfish novelle is a very nice dish that I do recommend.

From the start to finish and our server was right on and provided great service. This is my 1st time coming here to this location in the basketball hall of fame area in Springfield. We started out with the jumbo shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and it came with 4 shrimps. They were so yummy & fresh. For my meal I went with the seared scallops and the presentation of my dish was beautiful. The taste was so divine. My friend had the grilled pork chops and he said they were cooked medium and perfect. I went with the pink pony club cocktail which was similar to a martini and it was so delicious. Especially serving it in the sugar rim which was an added touch. Everything was perfect and I will be returning.

Before our appetizers came out, we were brought these tasty cheddar croissants with honey butter. That there set the tone for the rest of the meal. French onion soup was spot on. Perfect temperature that was not overly hot where a moment on the table is all it needed. Grandparents had single party burgers. They looked delicious and medium rare as they should be. My pork chop was not over cooked and has a great bite to it. Was a display for sure with all the garnishes on too. The side dish that came with it was yummy. Don't remember what was in it but I ate most of it before even touching the pork chop. No dessert for once. We were all stuffed! Much better experience than my first one.
