Updated. We were finally able to get thru (hit vmail 4 times). Got the red blossom roll, Mexican roll, albacore delight roll, and rainbow roll. All we're good. The fried shrimp in the red blossom roll was pre-fried, and for some time prior, as they're rock hard pieces that I originally (spit) out because I thought something really wrong (definitely not light tempura texture when old). Had they been fresh, there wouldn't have been two pea-size 'rocks'. Overall good, but also didn't add the extra wasabi the husband ordered because 'it was pre-rolled in each box with ginger'. There was barely any in each box so make sure you push for extra. Even if we hadn't ordered extra wasabi, what's in there was not enough. ***** Husband and I called 4 times during open hours and got their voicemail each time, that was 'full'. This is Korean own restaurant in Tualatin. Volume of fish is greater than any other place. I will recommend to order Chirashi sushi there... Regular sushi is okay except rolls (maki sushi) are added by sweet sauce all over that I can't take it. Now problem here is actual Korean dish...that is questionable. I have never had that much worst Korean dish before... Bibinbap with Sea Weed and Daikon Tsuma (it should be next to Sashimi) instead of typical Korean vegi...(bean sprouts, zucchini, spinach and other Asian vegi). And their Chijimi Seafood pancake was worst. That is not close to Korean pancake nor Japanese Okonomiyaki. I will recommend no one to waste your money to their Korean dish. Yay for indoor dining again! We were craving sushi and were in Sherwood to run a couple errands today so we stopped in for a yummy lunch. It's very small inside only seating 5 tables that have the plexiglass separating the tables and adequate spacing. Everything is sanitized and wiped down between customers. The rolls were fresh, tasty and were beautifully presented on the sushi boat. We ordered 5 rolls the Philadelphia Roll, White Roll, 503 Roll, Heartattack Roll and Crunch Lobster Roll. It was way too much to finish but it was a great variety and we have a snack for later. I would definitely stop in again for lunch or dinner when I'm in the area. The prices are a little higher than other places but the rolls are bigger and each were sliced in 10 pieces not 8 like other restaurants. So the quality and quantity were a little better, fresh tasting with beautiful presentation and a friendly waitress won our loyal business. read more

Sometimes I think that I'm too hard on Portland's finer dining establishments, but then I have an experience at a local, casual place like Crazy Sushi and am blown away that I can have an enjoyable meal and fantastic service here for under $10. My first visit was for dinner on Valentine's Day and it turned out to be a really sweet experience. Last minute decision since we were in the area for a child's birthday party and realized we had some free time. We ordered Sushi Combination C, which was perfect to share. The place was absolutely packed and yet the staff did a wonderful job that night. On my return visit for lunch I had the place mostly to myself since I arrived on the early side. For $9.95, this is what I was served: Amuse-bouche - two little bites to whet my appetite Small bowl of edamame Miso soup Sushi Combination B - 12 pieces of sushi, which consisted of a large tuna roll surrounded by tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, albacore, white fish, eel and tamago. Dessert - sliced orange with sauce Look at the price again. For this amount of food at most other sushi bars, you could easily pay double. And even though I have a big appetite, I couldn't finish the combination plate by myself, so the value here is great. I've also got to second Erin O's recommendation of the sweet scallop. So delicious! If you read my reviews, you know that I rank the vast majority of restaurants in the three to four star range. There is a very small percentage that reach five. This is one of those places, because it is lovely to find a place of such style, warmth and affordability in the 'burbs. It is officially my favorite place to eat in Sherwood. I've also been to most other sushi places in Wilsonville, West Linn, Lake Oswego and Tualatin. This is really a step above all the conveyor sushi places in those cities and ranks up there with Sushi Avenue (Wilsonville) as a local favorite. On both visits they were playing music, the sushi chefs greet every customer walking through the door and Hans in particular has a really warm personality. I don't know why, but it cracks me up that the chefs' names are Hans, Moon and Eugene. As another reviewer noted, there is some fusion going on and you can also order Korean dishes like burgogi and bibimbab. So, would it receive a five from a Japanese purist? Ok, despite all the 5-star reviews, I have to admit I was apprehensive about this tiny place tucked away next to the movie theater. After an excellent experience here, I was coming back for more. This is definitely the #1 sushi place I've ever been to and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to eat here! It's a family owned place with everyone showering their patrons with positive cheers as they walk into the door. The first thing that really impressed me were the menus. They actually show plenty of pictures of what each item is with detailed descriptions so one doesn't have to be a sushi connoisseur to order. The rolls are prepared with elaborate garnishes that it looks like a piece of art. In some cases, it looked BETTER than the picture on the menu! And the taste was exquisite. My only concern is that the dining area is a bit small, and if this place gets too popular as more people discover this gem, there will be lines and people waiting to get in just like a certain place downtown that I was unimpressed with (which will remain nameless in this review). I have nothing but good things to say about Crazy Sushi. This is the place I recommend all my friends to go. Not only are they decently priced, but they don't skimp out on the size of the sushi! Their rolls, sashimi and cuts in general are HUGE! They're always so incredibly fresh and the sushi chef's go out of the way to make an incredible presentation. What a surprise to find Crazy Sushi in Sherwood! On Fri night we had about a 45 min wait, but the hostess took my cell phone number so we could wander over to the bar at Rose's for a drink. She called and we went back to find our table waiting (unfortunately it is right in front of the window, so you feel like you are in an aquarium with spectators outside waiting, watching and drooling as we ate!) We loved everything we ordered, starting with the refreshing shrimp roll in lettuce. We ordered the Hawaiian roll, heart attack roll, spicy tuna, and albacore with garlic sushi. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food (the special rolls are all huge and come with plenty of fresh condiments like shreds of radish & carrots, pickled cucumber, etc.) The staff is so friendly and the small dining area creates a cozy atmosphere. **FOOD REVIEW ONLY** Call me crazy for eating at Crazy Sushi! We ordered 2 orders of Tonkatsu ramen, SNS roll, eel katsu roll, crunch lobster roll and 1 other one that I can't recall (too full). The tonkatsu ramen was rich, full of flavor and one of the better ones offered at a sushi bar. All the rolls were good except the crunch lobster roll just okay. I'm not even sure if there is lobster evidence. It's hard to tell after all it's deep fried. The rolls that we did enjoy was packed with exploding flavors to sweet, spicy, savory and salty. The 4 S's of food. Every sushi roll was made fresh, made well and mostly made with love. I will be "rolling" again soon for more sushi rolls but this time no ramen since it does take up space. P.S.
