To make a long story short, I will just tell you what went wrong. The place opens at noon, we arrived at 11:55 am and were promptly seated. There were about a dozen other patrons already there having drinks. We ordered the delicious pork belly bites and a couple of jet fuel cocktails . For the main, we got the fried chicken with pancakes and the crazy burger with fries. The pancakes were very good but the fried chicken tasted and smelled fishy. The burger was very good and it even had a nice little surprise ingredient that made it even better. Unfortunately, the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I can only imagine that the kitchen was cooking with the same oils from the previous day since we were the first people to have any food on this day. This makes me uncomfortable because it raises a flag with cleanliness ( lack off) by leaving cooking oils sit overnight. Maybe my theory is incorrect, but the chicken tasted like fish. We didn't eat the chicken nor the fries. I was surprised that the staff , as attentive and friendly as they were, didn't notice the leftovers. In most places, staff will catch it and ask what was wrong. I guess they were too busy since it was barely 12:30 and the entire restaurant was already packed. It seemed like most of the people were regulars since the owner was walking around greeting people in a familiar way. The bill was presented with a 20% service charge on it which surprised me because this is not a touristy place. Everyone here was a local. I will definitely not visit here ever again but I don't think I will be missed. This place is packed almost every day I drive by so people like it a lot. read more

This was our first time trying Crazy Uncle Mike's and my only disappointment was that we didn't make it here pre-COVID-19. The atmosphere is great and we can't wait to come back in a few months to truly enjoy the venue for all it's worth. It's apparent how much effort they've put in to pivoting in light of the current circumstances- huge tent to increase covered outdoor patio space, new seating charts that are being updated as CDC recommendations allow. All of the staff were wearing face masks. Menus have transitioned to barcode scan to reduce germ spreading. The food was a welcome step up from traditional bar food- the Nashville Chicken Sandwich was fried to perfection, although slightly resembled a buffalo sauce more than expected. The chicken and waffles were amazing! There's a great beer selection that we'd love to explore more on our next visit and unique craft cocktails. A must go ... I have waited for 3 visits to review Uncle Mike's. And after these 3 visits I will give it a solid 5. The staff is always on point and the food is always as advertised. My wife and I have enjoyed the cocktails and the various choices of food that are just a little different from the normal Boca regiment. We just stopped by for happy hour and we had the best time, Jordan greeted us and was very happy to show us the menu and made sure we always had a full drink was there for anything we needed. Some friends and I went to Crazy Uncle Mike's to see a dueling piano show. There was a $10 cover for the show which was not applied to our food or drink order so that was kind of disappointing but I understand they had to pay the performers. Nevertheless the show was great fun. The atmosphere at Crazy Uncle Mike's is super fun And a great place to hang out with friends. They had some good wine specials for happy hour and I got a free beer for checking in on yelp! Other than that the drinks were pretty expensive. The food was good we had some flat breads and the broccoli was delicious. Not sure if it's a different menu for happy hour But if not then the menu is pretty limited. Great place to see live music in Boca Raton. Mason Pace Band rocked the house! The wings were perfectly prepared, highly recommend their spicy chili sauce. The broccoli-cauliflower appetizer was very good as well (spicy). The flat bread was flat, not to impressive. My date and I both love a good IPA. Since they be there own in house, we figured we'd try them. Unfortunately, they both were watery and flat. The mocha stout was better than the regular, but neither were outstanding. Their Passionfruit Ale had the best overall taste of all. We'll come and give them another shot for sure, but how they improve on their in house brews. read more

I had passed this place so many times and just never went in. My bf and I were looking for somewhere chill where we could grab some food and a drink so I suggested this place. It was a Monday night so it wasn't too busy but they do karaoke every 1st and 3rd Monday so there was a group of people there for that. Monday has happy hour all day (woo!) so got a couple beers and we tried the BBQ pork sliders. I also ordered the bacon croquettes even through they weren't on the happy hour menu. Everything was scrumptious. My bf even wound up ordering another order of the sliders. Our server/bartender was super nice and knowledgeable, he helped my bf pick out the best beer. I believe his name was JD? They make all of their beers in house so it was pretty cool to see some of the vats by the front. Outside they had connect four, jenga and cornhole. Inside they had a whole table of games, as well as a basketball stand. There was a event calendar on one of the walls with tons of upcoming things to do. This is a very cool place to check out. It is dimly lit, has cool chandeliers, and a beautiful bar. It seems like it would be a great place to grab dinner on a week day. The stage was very intimate and you could see the band clearly. There was a nice dance floor space where you could stand and enjoy the tunes. That being said, I came here on a Saturday night. I got here significantly early and it was already packed. I waited at the bar for about a half hour trying to get a bar tenders attention, and could not manage to get a drink. The staff members were constantly pushing past me, which I understand because they were busy, but they didn't have to be so rude. Also, the hostess kept telling me a different story every time I asked about when I would be seated. She kept telling me I would be next, then would seat several tables. It was extremely unprofessional and after waiting from 8-10 and STILL not being able to sit down and eat, I left and got food elsewhere. Overall, great atmosphere but terrible service. I have started a review for Crazy Uncle Mikes a few times. This time we stopped in for brunch/lunch on a Sunday and it was so good I had to finish my soliloquy on this rare find of a spot. Why is it rare? Well, it has: First and foremost, live music, local and diverse. brewery of many different beers an excellent bar of options a plenty A rare bar with a complex brunch menu Special events (Like the Game of Thrones party we stopped in) and alllll this in a part of town that's not known for celebrating originality. And yet it is here. Sunday we slid in a little later than we planned, but they still had brunch going. It was easy for me to order because I am extremely biased towards hatch green chili's(I grew up in New Mexico where they come from), and the breakfast burger was covered in them. To round out our order we got the breakfast grilled cheese and some bacon croquettes. While we waited for our bites we kicked back and enjoyed the afternoon band. Some fellas named "Mood Swing". They were a chill R&B trio, pretty good brunch music. I was sipping on a bullet, when the bartender asked if I wanted to try this bourbon home mix that was infused with cherry's and cinnamon. It was pretty good. A Bartender that makes his own When the food came out we were all over it. The burger was crazy good. Again, I may have been biased though as it was slathered in green chili's. the hangover sandwich was plenty good as well. With tater tots layers in the middle how could it not be good. The bacon Croquettes I had heard talk of lived up to the hype. They were savory and delicious and the slightly sweet sauce that came with them complimented the bites perfectly. Another great visit. We discovered a couple new things on the menu, and heard another good local band. A perfect brunch. read more

Came to check out Crazy Uncle Mikes after a yelp event for happy hour. I loved that they had HH on the weekend and their HH prices were awesome. $5 cold beers - hell yes! Also loved that they brew their own beer in-house. We sat outside on their patio since it was such a nice day. They have a full bar with a ton of drink options but we decided to stick with beer/wine. Their food menu looked really great as well. They have a stage inside where they have live music pretty much daily. Tons of outside seating with ping pong table, games in their game area and the staff were all very friendly. I think we always say thing but I wish they had a place like this in central Broward. We only had a few beers but definitely looking forward to coming back to check out more of their cocktails and food items on the next visit. read more

Vast and wide food menu for both healthy eaters and us indulgent ones (friend chicken and sweet potatoe pancakes are incredible [but then again the veggie tacos may be my fav]). Enjoy all of this while experiencing an endless lineup of great music, day after day. I'm giving this place 2 Stars purely for the exquisite quality of the food and drinks. I had never heard of this micro brewery until my boyfriend and I received a gift card for it. A Sunday evening around 8 PM, we headed out for a bite, a few drinks and a bit of the football game. At first, we were super impressed with the menu, so many drinks that I'd never seen before. I had a lavender grapefruit tonic which was seriously the best drink I've ever tasted. My boyfriend had a coffee / chocolate beer of some sort which I actually didn't mind at all - he says it was equally delicious as what I felt my drink was (just not my style of beer lol). We ordered two entrées to split which were phenomenal.. honestly the highest quality of food I've ever had at a bar. The only problem we had is that after we ordered these things, apparently that was all we needed or wanted. My boyfriend had asked for two glasses of water at least 3 or 4 times before we got them (the bar was not really crowded at all). We both agreed we wanted to try some other drink on the menu and waited for about 20 min with no sign of a bartender.. finally she came back behind the bar but she was busy eating food, chatting with coworkers about some "pornhub award" and attending to another person at the far end of the bar... My boyfriend tried to get her attention several times with no success. Now. I'm not a prude. I really couldn't care less about what they were talking about.. my issue was that no one thought to check on us at all after we got our food. At that point, we just decided we were going to ask for the bill and call it a night, but it took another 20 min or so just to get that. Literally, we were so frustrated that we just wanted to get the heck out of there and go home but we were basically being held hostage at the bar by the lack of customer service. Couldn't get drinks but we also couldn't leave because we had to pay... I think we waited around for a good hour or so (maybe a bit less) just for someone to finally acknowledge we needed something. Fairly certain there was also a manager (or someone who worked there) who was also snacking on a plate of food at the end of the bar, watching football while we wondered if perhaps this was why there weren't very many people in the place that night, considering again, how truly amazing the food and drinks were. Once we paid and got in the car, we both 100% agreed that no matter how good the food / drinks were here, we would never step a single toe in this place again. So frustrating and so not worth the price for the level of service we received that night. Thankfully we had the gift card and didn't have to feel too bad about the $. What a terrible first impression... Extremely disappointing. read more
