I went here this past Saturday with a very large group and I was pleasantly surprised with the service. We were seated when our guests arrived and the waitress greeted us with a smile and was attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere is that of a casual lively restaurant, keep in mind when making reservations. Now I'm only putting the foods that I myself tried through out the meal, for there were 14 in our party. I tried the meatball sliders which in my opinion were the big surprise (tender & tasty), charred octopus was very nice and well prepared, in house tater tots were decent with some what of a scallion flavor added, prime rib sandwich was good but could have been a bit rarer and fries were very good ( possibly double fried which is awesome but can't confirm that). The Rundown: upscale prices in a casual atmosphere with some quality menu items. The Review: It was a busy night and while service was slower the friendly staff and casual vibes were enjoyable. First seated, we were only given 2 food menus (with 5 drink menus) despite being a party of 5. This made it a bit challenging to decide on food, but the menu was simplified enough we managed to be ready for when the server arrived. We started with some apps: BBQ pork fries and mild wings (boneless and bone in). All were phenomenal! The mild sauce was a pleasant heat unlike many places that focus more on the spice. The boneless were not your typical meat chunks and a knife came in handy but it was good. I appreciated the unique way they incorporated celery onto the wings. The fried were also fantastic with a nice savory taste and even cheese and toppings. Definitely recommend all of the above! For food we went with burgers and fish and chips. The burgers were great, which was good considering these are definitely high end priced at over $20 for a basic burger. The fish and chips were OK. Nicely cooked and flakey but a rather bland flavor overall. I'd recommend going with the burgers or just sticking with an app, the fish you can definitely get better elsewhere. I also had high expectations of the rosemary potatoes but they were very light on flavoring as well. It was a good experience, and if it's in your budget you'll likely have an enjoyable experience! The specials are great but even sitting at the bar directly in front of the bartender I was ignored several times until I had to have my partner wave the bartender towards us for to order additional drinks. Nice tables outside with great views of the ave., if it's not too hot. It was too humid to sit outside the other night so we opted for inside which was nice. Amanda and Brian, were awesome, always checking on us and giving great service. Food is farm fresh and very good. Updating from my prior review to further enhance that I've now had the chance to participate in the happy hour (5 to 7 PM) and it was an electric deal. I'm continuously impressed by finding these places with amazing happy hour food and drink menus. It doesn't need to be elaborate over the top, but a little more goes a long way and the options here were everything one could ask for. Drinks were delicious and at $6 it's hard not to find yourself getting tipsy on a Tuesday. The standout was the deviled eggs though... to the point we had to order multiple rounds because if it isn't the best $5 you'll ever spend at a happy hour menu I don't know what is. Bartender was friendly and chill and did a great job with the mixology. And of course the venue is perfectly situated in the heart of the Delray strip so you get all the aspects of an awesome environment right there with the food and drinks making it a perfect after work (or early leaving) spot! read more

We were able to snag a last minute reservation, and so glad we did! It was very busy, so I would suggest making a reservation if you can. We were seated outside and it was a beautiful spring night. Our server, Anastasia, was outstanding. She was so attentive and friendly. We ordered the thick cut potato chips to start with. Chips were crunchy and salty, and the dip was perfectly seasoned and creamy! A nice small bite. The fish and chips were good. The fish was crispy and flaky. The chips on the other hand were undercooked. The potato was still hard on the inside and it wasn't crispy on the outside. For dessert, we ordered their kitchen sink cookie. It was salty and sweet! It's been about 4 years since I've had brunch at Park Tavern but this was definitely one of my go to spots for it's affordable prices and outdoor seating for people watching on the Ave. For starters, the server was ok - felt like we had to chase her down to get her attention for everything. She was more attentive to her other tables in the area than ours. We all did the bottomless and put our orders in which I did the breakfast burrito based on her recommendation. My friend ordered the chips and onion dip which was so good. We could not get enough of that creamy onion dip - highly recommend to get. I do wish the chips were warmed up though. It took a while before our entrees came out, and it was not busy but everyone at the table ordered burgers and I got the burrito which I high key regret. The burrito was slightly warm at best and filled with mostly potatoes and cheese. There was barely any chorizo or eggs. I only ate half and had to unravel the burrito to make it edible at one point. This place came highly recommended but the visit was not worth the hype. Decent priced menu however food was mediocre. My omelette was overcooked. The potatoes and the sauce they came in allowed me to eat it. My cousin received a farmers omelette and it was served with only cheese in it! Hair was in my brothers drink. Food was great. Got the prime rib medium with the garlic rosemary mashed potatoes and a side of asparagus. Steak was cooked perfect! Could have gone medium rare even like a do my steak. I should have taken a picture to show the inside which was the reddish prime color you expect. It was not over-cooked. Those mash potatoes were just right on the rosemary touch. I honestly don't like rosemary and people often use too much. Loved the beer selection too. Many great options! Service was great. Greeted with smiles and the restaurant story about the food. A few years ago I refused to come here because of the food. However, they updated their menu and the food is incredible!!!!! There are so many options that are made fresh and are mouth watering. They have a ton of apps that are great portion sizes for sharing if you're looking to grab a seat at the bar and hang out. Their craft cocktails are what really makes them special. They have drinks that they throw a unique twist on, like the adult version of kool aid or their guava hibiscus margarita. We've been wanting to try this place for Sunday Brunch for quite sometime now. It's a shame that I couldn't tell you how good the food or the service is and I guess now we would never know! We made a reservation for Sunday Brunch at 12.30. I understand a lot of the restaurants on the Ave are busy for brunch and I can understand if we have to wait a few minutes for the tables to clear because the establishment is busy with lines or if the reservations were not available to book because they were so busy. But this is what happen when we got there for our reservation at 12.30, greeted at the front by the hostess (didn't get her name, one of the darker lady). My wife told her we had an opentable reservation at 12.30. And she said that the table is not available (we understand that they were busy). So we asked on how long it would be and she replied with "I don't know", there's a table with reservation with bigger party but there's 30 other reservations that have to take care off before they could get to us. We were just stunned!! We didn't even know how to reply to her. I looked around there were 1 booth that would hold 6 people open but she did say that they have another bigger party ahead but they're not here. There were a couple table packing there food to go but she didn't offer. I guess if we had to suggest an improvement? Please don't put your establishment on opentable if you don't know how to manage the reservations. And find a better way to answer your potential paying guests than "I don't know how long but there's 30 other reservations that we have to take care off before we get to your reservation". They offer a great happy hour, so expect the bar to be crowded every day of the week. The menu is elevated bar food with a few special entrees that are pretty unique. The fish spread has a light smokey flavor and aroma. The house made dill pickles with the sweet pickled jalapeños were the perfect topping to the crispy, garlicy, sourdough bread slices. The garden salad was just alright. Not enough dressing and lacking any unique flavor. I would opt for something else next time, even though the salad had been better in the past. fyi: If you can't eat chick peas, be careful. This place was bumpin' on a Friday night at 6:30. I tried to get a spot at the bar for my party of 2, but it was jam packed so we opted for outdoors on the patio, and were sat immediately. My first comment on this venue will probably set the tone of this review. We had a party of six and were seated promptly; had water glasses already on the table. After after 15 minutes, I had to go up to the hostess to inquire about our waitress. It was around 6:30pm on a Wednesday, a bit busy but not too crowded, so not sure why the service was slow. We ordered drinks and quickly put in our food orders. Everyone had something different; I shared a bbq dinner because I had some snacks before dinner. I went up to the front to ask if the manager could stop by; always have asked permission to take some pictures. A lady came by and asked how everything was but didn't introduce herself as the manager; I didn't find that out until we were leaving the venue. When the bill came, there was an automatic gratuity added to the bill. The menu stated automatic gratuity for parties of 7 and more. Wonder what's up with that. Overall the experience was lacking and the automatic gratuity not matching with what they advertised on the menu was not cool. read more

Good food & service! Few things I think could be improved, but overall this is a solid choice. First off, it is LOUD. We could hear each other just fine so it was nbd, but I wouldn't want to come here with a large party. For drinks: My boyfriend tried ordering a very simple margarita -- tequila, triple sec, & lime -- but ended up with a very artificial-tasting skinny margarita. Without salt. Not good. We can't attest to any of the cocktails from their menu, but we were not impressed with this. For food: We had the deviled eggs to start, which were delicious. I wanted to try the fish dip but they don't offer any chopped veggies or gluten free dipping options so we opted out, which was a bummer. They should at least offer celery or carrot sticks for those who can't have bread. I had their chopped salad with salmon and it was amazing! All of the ingredients went super well together & although the salmon portion was small, it was good (and ultimately very filling). The side of broccolini is something I'd skip next time -- came out cold and very hard. Their PT Cheesesteak sandwich was wonderful (per my boyfriend, from Philly - so he knows cheesesteaks). Whether with friends, family, or just by ourselves, Park Tavern has long been our go-to brunch spot. The menu options are reasonably priced, and the relaxed atmosphere is always a bonus. It's a perfect option for a 'day date'; and, over the past four years, we haven't had any negative issues or experience. With all of that said, today's meal and service was probably the most outstanding we've had -- anywhere -- in quite some time. The Homemade Corn Bread never fails, but we were interested in trying new entrees today. My wife had the Red Chile Pork Belly Benedict (tender, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness), and I chose the Banh Mi Breakfast Sandwich (which I'm still thinking about hours later). I was afraid that I would regret not going with my usual (Shrimp & Grits), but I may have a new favorite now. However, the true standout of our meal today was our server, Gianna. Even when it started to pick up a bit (we had 11am reservations), she provided above & beyond service (refilling our coffee, replacing the water bottle, checking up to see how our food was/if we needed anything, etc). Every interaction with Gianna felt authentic, and she really made us feel welcomed. Her personality and attentiveness elevated a wonderful meal into a fantastic experience.
