CREAM & CREPE CAFE: A HAIKU Pinned quilts, steaming soup Prairie cottage, welcome in! Savory, sweet, near a creek.

Very cute cafe located next to the cedar creek winery location; very quaint interior and atmosphere. I would recommend ordering at least two crepes if you are going that direction, because I ordered just one and it was like an appetizer amount. I ordered the country crossroads crepe without the ham, it was pretty good. The chicken was definitely overpowering with just the cheese surrounding it. I would come back again to try the sweeter crepes.

What a quaint place to stop and have breakfast or lunch! Nestled in the historic Cedarburg, you'll feel like you're sitting at someone's dining room table. Spacious dining area with quite the array of crepe options and sandwiches. The soup at the spot with delicious fresh bread. Love how I could get 1/2 sandwich as I wasn't very hungry and the crepes were so well done and presentation on point!

We went in on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't busy so we got seated right away. We started with a cup of tomato and cheese soup, it was amazing. My husband ordered the Crossroads crepe - chicken ham and Swiss which was delicious! I had the Homesteader, which was roast beef with mushrooms and carrots, also very tasty. We shared a dessert crepe, lemon cheesecake ice cream garnished with mixed berries so good! Decorated with hanging quilts giving it a cozy homestead atmosphere

I had a wonderful experience here! We showed up right when they opened and were sat immediately. Our waitress was very attentive and very fast! I ordered the vegetable soup, and it was so good! I also ordered a savory crepe and it was okay! For dessert, I ordered the apple crepe and it was very delicious! Food was spot on and I enjoyed the staff. There were quilts on the wall, and wooden tables! It felt like a trip back in time. Very quaint and cute. It is next to a beautiful river, and next to a lot of really cute shops!

Super cute cafe next to cedar creek. The service is fantastic, the ambiance is quaint. The food is a bit underwhelming. It has more Wisconsin touch than anything: very creamy, with lots o cheese and salt. If you are looking for a cute breakfast place to catch up with friends, this is a great place; but if you are searching for food that will excites your palette, this may not be the right place.

I love this place and it is one of the first places I visit when I end up home in Wisconsin. I wish I could take the soup home!

I never realized what a fan of crepes I am! I always thought of them as a dessert. I enjoyed an entree crepe and I'm sold! If I lived nearby, I would eat here everyday. They are open for lunch and dinner but not for breakfast. I think a breakfast crepe sounds amazing! The restaurant is located on the first floor of the back of the Cedar Creek Settlement. The room is adorable. Mismatched wooden tables and chairs with homemade quilts that adorn the walls, create a very homey vibe. I felt like I was at my Grandma's house down in Kentucky. It was quaint and inviting. The dining room was not busy but I asked to sit as far away from other diners as possible. She was very accommodating. We felt very comfortable as it seemed the restaurant was following safety protocols. Our server was a sweet young girl. She was helpful and remained attentive during our stay. When we asked about the wine, she laughed and said I can tell you what's popular but I'm not old enough to drink. I did love my wine from one of the local wineries. I loved my meal too. I started with a small green salad. The balsamic vinaigrette was homemade and boy could I tell. It was light and tart - perfection. I loved my veggie crepe. My friends tried the turkey and the ham crepes and two different soups.. We we all very satisfied. The atmosphere, cuisine and service made our meal better than expected. I can't wait to return to this hidden gem.

The mere mention of creperies or tea rooms makes me groan. When people utter those words, I always picture dainty portions of overpriced and underwhelming food, and frail types who 'eat like a bird.' Actually, Cream & Crepe exceeded my expectations. On the charm scale, this cozy place rates a perfect ten. It's in a rustic and lovingly preserved 19th century building overlooking Cedar Creek. Natural wood, multi-pane windows, period furniture, and folk art add to the authenticity. On this hot, humid day, we were grateful for their 21st century air conditioning. I lunched there with a group (no, no, it wasn't me who picked this place). The café served us a special group menu which included a dainty little salad with hot bacon dressing, choice of one entrée crepe, choice of one dessert crepe, and a (non-alcoholic) beverage. The salad was small, yes, but the house-made dressing scored points. My entrée was "Creek's Specialty," a ham & cheese crepe. Cloaked in a Velveeta-like sauce, it was cheddary overload. My Missus ordered the "Dusty Miller," which was filled with turkey, mushrooms, broccoli and onions (but thankfully not dust). Not a fan of gloppy cheese, she was wise to say, "No cheese, pulleeze." Otherwise, the crepes were very good. But the unctuous dessert crepes were the stars of the show. The dessert menu offers several varieties which feature vanilla frozen custard or various flavors of ice cream wrapped in crepes with different toppings and whipped cream added. The café's wines come from the Cedar Creek Winery, located in the same building. Our servers were friendly and attentive. And check out the cute little kitchen! The menu prices are surprisingly reasonable. One entrée crepe may be enough to satisfy a light eater, but unless you order additional items or you actually want to be hungry 30 minutes later, I suggest ordering two crepes (you can mix or match). Oh, what the heck, order one entrée and then have two dessert crepes!

Another well deserved 5 star rating for Flipside in Grafton!…read more If you're in the mood for homemade soups, Flipside is where you need to order from. Their soups change with the seasons and are always exceptionally good. Right now (summertime), they have Chicken Noodle, French Onion and Chili available. I could eat any of the three for the rest of my life, they're THAT good. I've also had their chicken dumplings soup and have seen chowders on their menu as well, so there's a soup for everyone at Flipside! My kiddo is pretty picky and even she loves the soups here :) OK, I've raved enough about Flipside's soups Along with their homemade chicken noodle soup, on this most recent visit, my daughter ordered the Denver Omelette (her favorite & the only omelette she'll eat) and I had the Chicken Caesar wrap. Again, one of the best caesar wraps in all of Ozaukee County. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. The lettuce and croutons were crispy and delish. The dressing was creamy, tangy and savory. If you're hungry, and want some fresh, delicious home cooked meals without doing the work yourself, you really can't go wrong at Flipside. In the short time I've lived in Ozaukee County, they've been a favorite for my entire household. I highly recommend and encourage everyone to stop by this restaurant at least once if you're in the area! Service and staff are equally as exceptional as the food, too (thank you, Waitress Tammy! )

The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I asked about the baby back ribs and was told that this was one of the chef's specialties. They were okay, however, not good enough for me to recommend. (Three Stars at best). I did like the crock of French Onion Soup with a pretzel roll. Quite tasty and a winner for flavor. (four and 1/2 stars). The cheesy potatoes were dry and smothered with corn flakes. Ugh.... (Two Stars). I liked the garlic toast. The wife ordered the Philly Burger on a Gluten Free bun. She thought the bun was very good, but the burger was overcooked, a bit dry and lacked flavor. In hindsight, she said that she should have told the waiter she wanted it cooked "medium" She loved the coleslaw. Overall, The Flip Side seems like a good restaurant that does a great job serving and supporting the local community. We noticed kid's from the nearby high school drinking sodas and enjoying each other's company. Great Ambiance - Lots of light and comfortable I'm guessing that Flip Side is better for breakfast than lunch or dinner. Although not crowded on this late winter afternoon, we did notice that all the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves.

When i walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff seemed super nice, and were diligent about helping all orders ahead of me pretty fast paced. I've been dealing with a lot (hence the appointments mentioned) so finding new food places (and food places that are GOOD) always serves as a pick-me-up. I ordered a tuna melt, muffin, and hibiscus iced tea...that tuna melt was so good I completely forgot about taking a picture of it. But the banana chocolate chip muffin and iced tea were also some of the best morning goodies I've ever had. If it wasn't so much of a hike from where I actually live, I'd probably be an everyday regular here. Definitely delicious and would recommend visiting.
