Such a cute little spot in Riverwest. It's counter service only but they have a good amount of seating, just be prepared for waits during peak hours. The crepes are always delicious and their lattes are impeccable, I'm pretty sure they make their own syrups. We tried one of their scones recently and it was one of the best scones I've had in a while. Perfectly moist and a little bit crumbly, great texture, highly recommend. My sister and I went here this morning for breakfast this morning. We got there a bit after 9. I think the day light savings spring ahead worked in our favor and we were able to get a table right away. By ten am, the place was full and people were waiting. My sister got the Benedict crepe and I got the KC special crepe. Both were delicious. We splurged and added a dessert crepe, Paris, towards the end of our meal. We loved it. A few things important to note, you order at the counter and then select your table. If you order drip coffee, you get that yourself after you pay. There are extra napkins and silverware in the dining room. It is appreciated if you bus your own table. There is a bin between the dining room and bar area. I've walked past Seven Swans Creperie several times and finally got a chance to stop by this weekend. I love how cozy and cute the interior is (I didn't get to take a photo of the patchwork wall, but it is adorable). Ordering is easy as you order at the front and seat yourself after getting a number for your table. They have a ton of fun flavors for their sweet and savory crepes. They also have a vegan menu, bakery items, and seasonal coffee drinks as well! We ordered the cherry cobbler crepe and the chicken pot pie crepe! Both were super delicious, and the perfect size to share. I also ordered a orange clove latte as well, which was perfect for the cold weather! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! One of the things I've missed about my hometown since I relocated is a crepe shop and...this place knocks my hometown's spot (sod dr) out of the water. When you walk in, you grab a menu and order, receive a table number for your order, and pick your own seating. I ordered a Sweet Potato Latte that was on special and it was AMAZING. And for eats, I had the Campfire crepe. 10/10 recommend and look forward to coming back. The waitstaff as a whole were SO friendly as well. This place is a hidden gem - at least it was, before supposedly going viral on TikTok a few weeks ago, leading to a Sunday brunch rush in the late morning. The secret is to go right when they open or around 12:30/1PM. Service: You order at the counter, then find a seat in their dining space all on your own. Frankly, this is a very smooth experience and preferred to having someone interrupting your meal every 5 minutes to wait on you. If that's not your jam, that's alright. Coffee: One of the best restaurant chai lattes (aka not from a stand alone coffee shop) - owed to the spices and masterful layer of microfoam. Their espresso is smooth and balanced, and they have an impressive menu of coffee and tea that changes seasonally. Ambience: Think up north antique grandma's house - their dining space is a rescued collection of eclectic pieces of furniture. It's cozy, inviting, and warm, thanks to an ample amount of wood and deep greens. Their space feels like a warm hug. Food: The heart of the matter - their crepes are exceptional. Checked this place out with my girlfriend as its been on my list for a while and seeing a recent instagram post from them! They offered some good sweet and savory crêpes, good service from their kind staff, and a cozy environment throughout the restaurant. For my crêpe, I got the Forest crêpe for a savory start to the day. The crêpe itself was nice and soft and buttery, and not inherently sweet, so it allowed the savoriness to shine and not be mixed with a weird sweet flavor. The bacon was in nice big pieces and its saltiness was able to be tasted with each bite. For some additional flavor, the garlic parmesan sauce worked complementary to add some extra salt without the meaty flavor. Mellowing out the strong flavors from the bacon and parmesan, the spinach and mushrooms offered a softer texture and helped to disperse anything extra to balance the dish and prevent it from feeling heavy. For my drink, I got the Golden Milk Latte. This was unfortunately really not my cup of tea. I honestly cannot remember much about the flavor as I was surprised with the amount of "debris" in my drink from the additional spices and turmeric. It felt like I was drinking straight out of a tea bag. I imagine this was for some healing properties if sick, but I would think I could get the same effects without having to experience all the grit in my mouth. My girlfriend got the Paris crêpe to have a nice sweet treat for the day (without bananas). This crêpe was nice and soft and not overly sweet with all of its toppings. There were plenty of strawberries and nutella throughout, but it never felt too much. There were plenty of almond slices on top, so maybe that helped to cut through and prevent it from being overly sweet. Overall a solid crêpe that has me wanting to try their other sweet crêpes! For her drink, she got the Peppermint Latte (seasonal). The drink itself was pretty strong and powerful, but the cream on top helped to balance out the bitterness. It had some good peppermint flavor, but given the holidays, I think personally would have liked to see this option more as a peppermint hot cocoa... still good for the cold winter day! This place offered some good food and was pretty busy despite seeing an earlier post discussing slow business. Of course, days vary, and we went on a saturday morning, but it was good to see that they were busy! We had been told food would take ~1 hr, but it came out a lot quicker, so that was good to see considering the crowd. It is all self-seating, and the staff was very friendly and notified us to just let us know if they needed anything to be cleaned. The space itself was quite cozy and even had a few trinkets on sale from local artists. Alongside the warm interior, they also have an outdoor area that I would imagine is just as welcoming! This restaurant doesn't take reservations, however, we found seats quickly. When I first walked in, I felt slightly overwhelmed, but they have great signage regarding how the process works and the staff was very friendly! When you arrive: grab a menu, find a seat, review the menu, then place your food and drink order at the counter. You're given a number for your table and everything is brought out to you. You pay prior to receiving your order. They also have a self-serve coffee station or you can order coffee drinks at the counter. Seven Swans is in my neighborhood and I finally found it. It's tucked away a little bit and only open Thursday-Sunday. But I love a good breakfast/brunch place and I'm glad I did. It is counter service. You order at the register and get a number and sit where you want. I sat at the bar which I like to do when I'm dining solo. The space has more room than it looks like from outside. The atmosphere has a chill, unhurried vibe. For my first visit I had the Frenchie crepe which comes with caramelized onions and Gruyère. I added mushrooms and an egg because I can. The Gruyère had a nice sharpness that complemented the sweetness of the caramelized onions. It was a nice amount of food, substantial but not too filling. There are sweet crepes too and other dishes like a salad on the specials board and a grain bowl. Seven Swans is a perfect addition to Riverwest and I'll be back. read more

my first time trying a crepe that i was convinced i wouldnt like but i was proved wrong!! such a cute find in general, i loved the lay out and feel of this place. two separate dining areas, the area by the cashiers felt a bit more quiet. they have a big table and some smaller booth seats. there is additional merchandise to browse as well. the other area by the kitchen connected by a hallway was more noisy with folks but that area had all different kinds of seating options and nice window seats as well which is where we sat. you order at the cashier's to then get a number and wait for ur food at the table you choose. you can get ur own water and condiments at a station placed close by which was nice. the food itself, PHENOMENAL. i got a savory crepe and the soup paired with was such a great touch. my niece got a sweet crepe that i didnt try but she loved! i was in the mood for a london fog but they had their own version dubbed riverwest that had cardamom and it was soooo tasty!! overall such a great experience, will definitely be coming back! read more

I've been to Seven Swans before, but this time I went specifically to try the pumpkin pie crepe. My friend and I split one sweet and one savory--highly recommend! The sugared pecans and light pie filling was SO delicious. For the savory crepe, we got the Vermonter, and the apples added a nice contrast to the sausage and sharp white cheddar. Have you ever walked into a place and immediately know you are going to love it? That is seven swans creperie. Literally 10/10, no notes. I felt so happy simply walking in the door of this cafe with huge windows that let you soak up sun in spite of the frigid temperatures outside, coupled with the beautiful wallpaper and eclectic seating.. I felt like I want to come back here with a good book and hang out for a while. Upon entering, you are greeted with vibrant decor and hospitable and welcoming staff who guide you on how and what to order (counter service- order at the counter, they bring to your table). There is a great selection of sweet, savory, and vegan crepes in addition to a full espresso bar and scrumptious-looking (I didn't try any on this visit) bakery items. I only order syrup in my coffee if it's homemade and was pleasantly surprised to hear that their coffee syrups are house-made. Of course the crepes are the star of the show! We went with classics- Paris sweet and Frenchie savory. The savory had Gruyère and caramelized onions and we opted to add bacon and mushrooms. The sweet was classic with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and slivered almonds. Absolute perfection. And good sized portions too; they don't skimp on the fillings! My husband and I shared the two crepes and we struggled to finish #2. There is also a lot more seating than you would think- in the main area there is bar seating, a few tables including one that seats 10 people, and then there is the whole "patio" area with the huge windows that let in all the sun! Love is in the details, and you can feel the love here with not a single detail having been overlooked. P.S. A cute, cozy crepe cafe located in a quiet street. It's actually pretty big and bright inside and good for either some alone breakfast and reading time or easy, relaxing family or friends gathering time. We felt like we walked into an old grandma's house and liked the wooden tables and chairs, classic wall paper and hanging plants. We got KC Classic (savory crepe), Clean (sweet crepe), Blackberry Earl Grey Scone, chickpea orzo soup and coffee. They use beans from Oddly Correct Coffee, a coffee roaster from KC where the original crepe cafe is. The coffee was nothing really outstanding, but I liked how they offer not just brewed coffee but also cold brew and lattes. The housemade scone was crispy outside and fluffy inside. The flavor was amazing - you can actually see fresh blueberries and taste earl grey tea. Now the "entrees". My sweet Clean Crepe was full of sweet and sour lemon flavors that balanced well with the whipped cream. Hubby's KC Classic was actually not too heavy and felt pretty doughy - which made it homey. The soup was not heavy, either, but with all kinds of good veggies and chickpeas to add healthy fiber and protein to the crepes. Overall, the crepes are not like the "wow wow" type, but more like comfort food for us. We enjoyed the meal. The staff were very friendly. The experience overall was just delightful and relaxing. I had been wanting to try this spot for months and my husband finally "surprised" me by saying we should go. We both ordered coffee and a crepe, I went with the cinnamon toast because I'm a huge cinnamon girlie and my husband went with the Paris. In hindsight I think he would have preferred a more savory crepe to the Paris but he still cleaned his plate and had great reviews. What a cool place! I love it when restaurants are in a residential area. Patio looked really nice too but it was raining when we went. The woman we places our order with was so friendly and very helpful. There were signs posted about maybe having to wait an hour during busy brunch time so I was mentally prepared. The vibes are so cozy! They have mismatched chairs and hanging plants and the most insta worthy accent wall. We rolled in at 1130 on a Sunday morning, so probably right around their peak and didn't order right away but fortunately we did get seats. Next time I would go right to the register and put in my order and then snag a seat because it might take a minute for your order to come out. I got a honey lavender latte and it was so good! For food I ordered the Vermonter with a sunny side egg added but they initially forgot the egg. It was quickly remedied with an egg brought to the table not even a minute later. Overall, a solid crepe, came as described except that the description said caramelized apples and the apples were just- regular apples. A good experience overall! read more
