Fresh bakery bright n early! We popped in early morning and found all of the fresh pastries in the cases, chilled katsu sandos, and assorted onigiris presented out. Their strawberry matcha is super concentrated, flavorful, and creamy - just the way I like it. Staff was awesome and very knowledgeable about each bakery item. It's a very spacious cafe with bench seating and clean bathrooms.

No need to travel to the OC for their infamous strawberry croissant! tried the cheese crisp the first time and certainly won't be the last. it was really worth the price in my opinion. mango cheesecake was also really good! would recommend!! They have a small parking lot and good amount of seating inside to catch up with folks.

Only 13 strawberry croissants in the prepackaged tray of "14".

This location has plenty of seating & parking. We got the 14 strawberry croissants which are prepackaged. We took the croissants to a restaurant to enjoy with friends after dinner. There were only 13 in the pack which disappointed me. I didn't think to confirm the number of croissants in the package and didn't want to bother with a phone call or anything. One less strawberry croissant for one of us so made us sad... If you purchase any prepackaged items, be sure to check and confirm before you leave. "Buyer be ware".

I usually go here to bring pastries to my staff so it's concerning that asking for a separate container and a few wrappers are frowned upon by the servers. Shoutout to the hispanic lad and the elderly asian lady for the (mis)treatment. Not going back.

Been a big fan of this bakery since a couple of years ago, and glad they've opened up additional locations. Sad that all of them are far from me LOL Q_Q but whatcha gonna do. I'd love it if they opened something in the Cerritos area...Please... Quality of the items here are as good as their original location in Tustin. I actually tried visiting this location on time during a weeknight and they were completely sold out and closed early. Good for them, but bummer for me! I had similar issues at their Tustin location. If you want access to their entire selection make sure to come early. If I'm out and about in the morning nearby them I'll typically try to squeeze a stop by their store. Came on a Friday early afternoon, and they were already out of the chicken curry pan, but I gave them a call before stopping by (since I was in Torrance anyway) to ask if they had any curry bread left and the worker said they had a couple of beef ones left although she couldn't guarantee they'd still be in stock when I arrived. Luckily they were! I also got two pork buns (high recommend, they are soft and fluffy and juicy and delicious), an azuki cream (for the husband, he likes it but I think it's just fine but I'm not a massive red bean fan), and a boston cream (personally I prefer the one at Hamada-ya more as their's is more airy while this one's more heavy?). There was basically no wait and I was serviced promptly. Store was clean and orderly. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area!

Fairly large bakery offering a wide variety of French- and Asian-style breads and prepared foods. There's plenty of seating, though not quite as much as 85°C Bakery. Most of the pastries are excellent and clearly made with high-quality ingredients--think arabiki sausages, matcha, and seasonal berries. Just be aware that some of the more gourmet items (like the matcha cookies) can run up to around $8. The coffee is also very good and can be customized to taste; in a very Japanese style, it leans slightly bitter rather than sweet. These baked goods are popular locally, and you'll even find some of them stocked at Nijiya. Service is about average. The staff seems focused on keeping the line moving, so there isn't much interaction, and when I asked a simple question like whether something was made in-house, the clerk didn't know. That said, they do offer some unique Cream Pan-only items, including curries and salads, which are definitely worth trying.

First time coming here. I wanted to try their egg sandwich and ended up loving it! 10/10 !! Keep in mind they advertise they do not put any conservatives in their breads so they must be consumed within 2 days. I also got their vanilla cafe latte and it was 10/10 2 sandwiches , 2 coffees and a strawberry croissant at $25 ?!?! I'm sold. Iced Caramel mocha latte - 10/10 Service was great. The bakery is huge, I've never seen one like it. There is plenty of seating space. Will be coming back to try more of their stuff!

Cream Pan's Strawberry Croissant is nostalgia in pastry form ..think a gourmet Pop-Tart or an elevated Pillsbury strudel. Each bite is light, flaky, and filled with velvety cream. Only wish? A few more strawberries to complete perfection. Food: 4/5 - A dream selection of pastries, breads, sandwiches, rice dishes, donuts, and desserts. Everything looks (and tastes) freshly made with care. Service: 4/5 - Fast, friendly, and efficient, even during the morning rush. Ambience: 4/5 - Spacious interior with plenty of seating, perfect for a chill breakfast stop or casual meet-up. Parking: 3/5 - The lot fills up fast, so street parking is your best bet during peak hours. Props to founder Yoshinori Inada, who opened Cream Pan back in 2002 and continues to bake his way into SoCal food history. Gotta say, this is hands down The BEST bakery in town. My wife and I discovered this gem on our way home from dropping off our boys in school. There are soo many delicious breakfast goodies and French rolls to take home. We always get the ham and cheese croissant. It's an absolute MUST if you like croissants. The bread is so fluffy and the ham and cheese is super delicious. We always get 2 for each because it's that good. One is definitely not enough and these are not the sharing type. Our Lattes are always on point. There's this Asian gentleman barista who's super nice and puts designs on the lattes. Dude knows what he's doing on the Latte machine. He's Amazing!!!!! Keep up the excellent work. The raisin and cream pastry is always bomb!!! The custard/flan is highly addictive. It's perfect! All the pastries and cakes look amazing. Theres never really a line like at Starbucks which is great and the customer service is really nice and courteous as well. Overall, my wife and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this gem if your ever in Lomita and crave some delicious coffee and a pastry. They have a lot of different types of food and drinks here as well. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed or dissatisfied. The ambiance is perfect to do work and just chill for a bit.

    4.5 inch strawberry shortcake

Strawberry croissants and strawberry shortcake!! Yum so good. We bought the shortcake for my dad's birthday. The 4.5 inch cake was so cute and perfect. The cake was so light and fluffy and wasn't sweet at all. The 4.5 inch cake was $25. If you have older parents who don't like sweets, this cake would be perfect for a birthday or celebration. Note they do not have candles. Downside is parking. It's pretty bad but you can circle and find street parking pretty easily. If there is a line it moves pretty fast.

    Strawberry Croissant!!!
    Toshi I.

Been wanting to come here especially to try their signature Strawberry Croissant. The flaky delicate layers with light custard and fresh strawberries are definitely addicting. We ordered a half dozen to bring home to share and we were told we will most likely have more than one each. They were right! The place is much larger than it appears from the exterior. Once inside, lots of seating and many desserts in the glass cases and loaves of Japanese bread! I also had to try the delicious Egg Sando which I enjoyed in Japan. So often, the pastries are great and the coffee is an afterthought. Here the coffee was strong and a perfect complement to the pastries. There was too many choices, so we will definitely be back to try other sweet treats, as well as, the savory lunch choices. Parking in the lot.

This place is my favorite bakery in this area, I like that they make the bread fresh daily and once they sell out, they normally don't make any more to prevent waste. But the taste is so good even though it is a little bit pricey for me, but I compared it to 85C it's around the same price range. My favorite is their melon bread and their custard bread. They're very well known for their strawberry custard pastry dessert. I always bring them to parties and it is a crowd favorite. Normally there is a long line, but it moves pretty quickly. There's two cashiers. When I see other customers around me, I see that they also order the curry bread so I might try that next time. But I love coming here. They have very nice spacious area for people that wanna sit down and eat inside.

I've been to the Cream Pan in the OC & just visited this one today. This is definitely new, and has sooo much more space. It has a couple tables to sit at, but I can see them getting super busy. They also have a sign that parking is limited to 60 minutes, and tables have a limited amount of time too. The pastries & desserts are SOOOO good. I tried the orange pastry (forgot name lol), creme puff, and a mango cake slice. My favorite out of the 3 was the creme puff, then mango slice, and finally the orange pastry. All SUPER good though. The ambience is super nice, open, newly renovated, I will definitely come back!

Sidecar might change your mind about cake donuts…read more I'm usually a raised-donut person, but these are different. Fresh, they eat more like a pastry--super moist, rich without being heavy, and none of that dry crumble. Chocolate (Valrhona) is the one--deep, smooth, perfectly tender. The vegan strawberry matcha is a sleeper hit--the strawberry glaze smells like a field of ripe berries and actually makes you pause before the first bite, with the matcha keeping it grounded. They only had two raised that day, but both delivered. Vanilla was soft and airy, and the huckleberry had that bright tart-sweet glaze with zero fake flavor. Only note: don't over-order. Next day = noticeably more crumbly. Go, pick a few, eat them fresh. Clean plate club.

However, if you venture in the area on a weekend - it could be harder to find secure a spot. Over the years I've had their Huckleberry, Butter & Salt, Strawberry Buttermilk donuts from the regular menu. I've got a personal soft spot for the Huckebwrey & Saigon Cinnamon Crumb donuts (when available). Are the donuts pricy? Yes, but only because the flavor profiles are unique compared to standard shops open 24/7. Beverage wise, I've only had tried their chai and matcha lattes. Nothing negatively notable nor special, but they don't taste terrible. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to try the drinks since the cups are small for the amount of $ you pay. Service is quick here since the shop is so small and tends to fill up. The employees are great about answering customer questions to help guide patrons on what to purchase.

During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. (This is why I hate ordering delivery--restaurants are careless, especially for delivery orders. They get your order incorrect 80% of the time {in my experience} and on top of not being able to get your correct order, you are charged fees and delivery. And for this reason, restaurants should be extra careful). I was given a plain ham and cheese croissant, not Jalepeño, which I personally don't care for. Extremely disappointing considering how much I love this item. To add insult to injury, the pastry I received implies, in my opinion, that the employee who made it does not care about their job--The croissant had two tiny, bunched up and hard pieces of ham, just on one side of the croissant, and no cheese inside. It was extremely bland, not what I ordered, and absolutely not worth any amount of money. I threw it away after one bite.
