We ordered the apple croissant, ham and cheese croissant and the beef curry pan. Everything was quite tasty. We will return to try a few other things and buy bread next time. As many say here, I have been going to this bakery for past several months every weekend to grab baked goods. As many say this is a great bakery with great pricing. A month ago, they raised their prices quite hefty probably due to the inflation and tariffs. I was okay with this price increase. However a week ago, I bought and ate an apple pie (apple croissant) and while eating, I noticed in my mouth there was something sharp and metal. I took it out and saw that it was this metal piece that was IN the baked good! Like how does this even happen! I even feed the baked goods to my 1.5 year old toddler and if my kid ate it, I woulda had to take him to the ED! I am extremely disappointed by this and I don't think I would like to go back. My first time visiting this 3 year old location in Lomita. Plenty of parking is available since it's a stand alone location. The interior is spacious and there were many customers picking up and dining in on a Sunday mid - day. Plenty of seating and air conditioning for comfort. The assortment of baked breads, pastries, and cakes were impressive, made with quality, and attractively presented. We opted for the Strawberry croissant, azuki cream and blueberry croissant. The pastries were freshly made and so yummy. Service at the counter was friendly and prompt, with several staff members assisting customers. I recently picked up several items from this bakery: French bread, Japanese white bread, chocolate cake, melon pans, crispy cheese, beef curry pan, blueberry croissant, and a hot dog. I ordered a pork steam bun too, but when I got home, discovered that they forgot to include it in the bag. I won't bore you with a review of every single item I got. I will only highlight the couple of items that impressed me. The rest of the stuff I got were not bad, just not particularly memorable. One of the items I really enjoyed was the crispy cheese. As the name indicates, it's a crispy strip of cheese. It was a delightful snack. I highly recommend getting this when you're here. I also really liked the curry pan. I love cream pan. I'm not a big pastry/bread person, but after going to the Tustin one years ago, it's one of my favorite bakeries. Why? All their bread is so light and pastries aren't too sweet. If this is your first time- get the strawberry croissant. It's the best. This location is way more spacious than Tustin too, but parking is a bit limited. I was in Lomita and was looking for a place to grab coffee and pastries. While browsing Yelp, I was surprised to find out there was a Cream Pan nearby. I've always wanted to try their Orange County location but just never got around to it, so I was excited to finally give them a try. I walked in expecting it to be self-serve like 85 Degrees Bakery, but it's actually set up more like a donut shop or Porto's, where most of the pastries are displayed in a case and you tell the staff what you'd like. They do have a refrigerated self-serve section with sandwiches and onigiri, as well as a table with loaves of bread and buns. The ordering process caught me off guard because I usually like taking my time looking through all the pastries at bakeries. Since everything was behind the counter, I felt a little rushed with people waiting behind me. They have so many options that it can be a bit overwhelming. I also had to stop myself from ordering too much since I'm trying to cut back on carbs. Here's what I ordered: Hot Dog Bun - 4/5: Tasty with a soft, fluffy bun. I just wish it had a little more of that cheesy crust on top. Ham and Cheese Croissant - 3/5: My boyfriend ordered this and thought it was just okay. It was a little small for the price. Strawberry Cream Croissant - 5/5: They're known for this, and now I understand why. The pastry was light and flaky, the strawberries were sweet, and the custard was rich without being overly sweet. Spam Roll Onigiri - 4/5: I loved the egg, and it was really flavorful. It was served a bit cold, though. I think it would taste even better if it were kept under a heat lamp. I saw this new Korean bakery which is pretty much across the street from our dentist. Nice parking area with a decent amount of spaces and a couple disabled spaces. Inside they have plenty of seating available to enjoy your pastries. As for bake good selections, they offer sweet and savory options. They even have some katsu plates with or without curry. I find some of their pastries are on the pricey end depending on what you select. Their most popular is the strawberry croissant which is sweet with a custard filling and strawberry slices. I tried their special Strawberry Mocha Latte which was really good, however, it was very small and very pricey. The service was great. The girl that helped me was super nice and very accommodating. After getting some bake goods for our dentist, I quickly had to eat the steamed pork buns while it was hot. The pork filling was like a pork siomai inside a fluffy soft dough. That was very good and worth the price. As for the sweet baked goods, I immediately tried them as soon as we got home. Few key notes: * There's a small free private parking lot and it is almost never 100% full even during busy hours. * While the bakery closes at 7 PM, come before lunch hours to get the full selection of baked goods and refrigerated sandwich options; otherwise, many of these items sell out before closing time. * Plenty of indoor tables, but no outdoor seating. * S-tier items: strawberry croissant, sticky bun, steamed pork bun. * A-tier items: half turkey avocado sandwich, pork katsu sandwich box, matcha cake * B-tier items: almond croissant, drip coffee. We got the: - Butter Croissant-3/5 it was a little dry and not amazing compared to other the croissants - 5/5 Strawberry custard croissant was fluffy and filled with a lot of custard. Been a big fan of this bakery since a couple of years ago, and glad they've opened up additional locations. Sad that all of them are far from me LOL Q_Q but whatcha gonna do. I'd love it if they opened something in the Cerritos area...Please... Quality of the items here are as good as their original location in Tustin. I actually tried visiting this location on time during a weeknight and they were completely sold out and closed early. Good for them, but bummer for me! I had similar issues at their Tustin location. If you want access to their entire selection make sure to come early. If I'm out and about in the morning nearby them I'll typically try to squeeze a stop by their store. Came on a Friday early afternoon, and they were already out of the chicken curry pan, but I gave them a call before stopping by (since I was in Torrance anyway) to ask if they had any curry bread left and the worker said they had a couple of beef ones left although she couldn't guarantee they'd still be in stock when I arrived. Luckily they were! I also got two pork buns (high recommend, they are soft and fluffy and juicy and delicious), an azuki cream (for the husband, he likes it but I think it's just fine but I'm not a massive red bean fan), and a boston cream (personally I prefer the one at Hamada-ya more as their's is more airy while this one's more heavy?). I've been to the Cream Pan in the OC & just visited this one today. This is definitely new, and has sooo much more space. It has a couple tables to sit at, but I can see them getting super busy. They also have a sign that parking is limited to 60 minutes, and tables have a limited amount of time too. The pastries & desserts are SOOOO good. I got a 4 pack of the strawberry croissants for a friend, a Boston crème donut, and a condensed milk coffee. The croissants are definitely a must-try as they sell out quickly; fresh strawberries and custard inside a buttery croissant. The Boston crème donut was a surprisingly good pastry; a nice chocolate exterior with a soft, creamy interior.
