I had more than enough points to redeem a free pastry reward, and since I was just at nearby Del Amo Fashion Center, I figured why not use one of my free pastry rewards at this Paris Baguette? So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie. read more

This Korean chain for pastries has been a solid save of mine to visit. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype this visit. My first mistake was coming later in the afternoon. They close at 8:30 and I came in 2 hours before. The pastries leftover were scooched over and the labels did not match entirely what they were. It was difficult to know what I was picking up onto the tray. There was also a small fruit fly or gnat flying around inside the bakery case as well. The icing of the orange donut thing also got stuck to the box and we had to scrape it off... Out of 4 pastries none of them were really that good, it really made me not want to come back. I also ordered a plain iced coffee and the coffee quality is not good at all. Tastes like it was made from a Mr coffee machine at home. Service was friendly. Feedback: When you package pastries, you need to add a cookie sheet, or other in the box, Never just drop the pastries into the box. Your croissants are dry, too crunchy and overcooked. Of course I went back and got some photos of some items we purchased. All were still good. We got there a bit later in the evening as the place was getting set to close. The staff were still very pleasant and patient with us even though were came around closing time. We purchased the items that were on the tray. The matcha and chocolate mochi donut was one of my faves. Delicious, chewy and packed with chocolate flavor. Had a thick slightly crunchy coating of Chocolate on the mochi donut and a powdering of matcha on top. Bomb! The blueberry donut filled with lemon curd was absolutely divine. So good and the filling was way better than I anticipated. The chocolate croissant was filled with a chocolate creme, loved it so much!. The red bean past donut was not a fave of mine but I also don't enough red bean paste very much to begin with. Paris baguette never fails to amaze me. They have a wide variety of pastries and even specialty coffees. The food here is France and Asian fusion pastries. There are mochi donuts with a little twist, Belgium waffles dipped in chocolate, and so many items. There are so many delectable bakery items. Paris Baguette is a Korean bakery located in the Hainan Market food court in Torrance, they were founded in 1945 in South Korean SPC group and family plus family owned, there are 69 bakery located in California. The bakery is kinda small, neatly and clean, most of the uniqely and beautiful Items are in a show case, there so many options to choose from, customer service here was service with a smile. This was my second here and here are the Items that I did try, supreme and galic croissant, palmier, red bean bread, rice donut, a jumbo twisted donut and a mochi, I have no complaints and will return. read more

Finding this place the first time I got here was a mystery but turns out they're not a stand alone location. I've been here a few times and staff is always so helpful and provide exceptional customer service. Luckily every time I've been here, they have what I'm looking for and for the most part they have a great selection of pastries. I've also gotten lucky where I don't place my cake order ahead of time but they have the cake I want available (rainbow cake 10/10). I like our local Asian bakeries for their beautifully decorated & tasty cakes that are light & not overly sweet (you know... the kind that tastes like you're eating a spoon of sugar, or the kind that makes you fall into a food coma). Its selection of baked goodies are not as sizable as a standalone bakery, but for shared space, Paris Baguette offers a moderate menu of cakes, sweets & pastries, donuts, savories, & breads; they even have breakfast sandwiches, salads, & wraps! Price points are on the higher side for Asian bakeries in the area, an ok value amongst its competition. With cafe offerings but not the cafe feel, if you have time, you can dine in. There's a dining area southwest of the bakery for them & other eateries in the market. We were dining nearby & wanted dessert to celebrate our anniversary, so we made a quick stop to pick-up a couple of goodies to enjoy at home. We had to repeat the Blueberry Chiffon Cake, as this is our fav cake, though the Mixed Berry Soft Cream Cake comes a close second. It has 3 layers of blueberry chiffon, though the blueberry flavor isn't as present; however, if you taste it with the blueberry topping, the blueberry flavor is more pronounced. The Rainbow Cake is a brilliant 6-layer rainbow cake of red, pink, orange, yellow, lime green, lavender; the layers are not flavored, just colored. It would be nice if they flavor it, though it might be artificial if they do because it's labor intensive (tried a flavored rainbow cake & it was delish, so I know it's doable). The sweet cream cheese is light, & doesn't have a heavy cream cheese taste, as if it's a sweet cream frosting. Their Chausson Aux Pommes rivals a local French bakery in execution... flaky puff pastry with a decent amount of apple filling. Because this bakery is inside the market, the temperature isn't as regulated for the self-serve items so they may not taste as "fresh" in the late afternoon or end of the day. It can get crowded during lunch & dinner rush, & after work, but there's plenty of parking available. Counter service is ok; I often see the servers/cashiers talking to each other over offering customer service, so checkout is sometimes slow. Due to distance & menu limitations, I'm not likely to purposely visit Paris Baguette, but if I'm shopping at the market, I often exit on this end to peruse the bakery for after dinner treats. I did not know that there's a boutique version of PB here and am glad my friend brought me here. It located inside a Korean supermarket so there's plenty of parking spots. I ordered their iced cafe latte and a slice of the Blueberry Chiffon cake and both really hit the spot. There's no sugar added in the cafe latte and the cake was not heavy at all. A perfect ending to my lunch meeting! Because of the size of the store, selection was quit limited. The service is always good at any PB from my experiences. Loving the experiance. After minutes of grocery in Hannam, Paris Baguette is an excellent place to get a sweet treat or maybe even a savory one depending on your preferance. Their display options are very diverse which makes the restaurant so unique. From mochi donuts to bread. I picked out a pork & chicken hot dog with a a very sweet, soft bread--sprinkled with crisps. The meat was absolutely delicious and I loved it paired with the sweetness of the bread. The little crisps were such a small detail to the treat, but it truly did taste absolutely amazing. The donuts are so interesting and I would like to try one and maybe review my thoughts. But things I can say is that the staff were so kind and seemed eager to help as always. The ambiance is so pleasant. It feels nice to walk around and see the interesting display of baked goods. Hoping to see more in the future. Yum yum yum!!! As I was craving my morning coffee I thought I come and check out Paris Baguette which is located inside Hannam Chain Supermarket in Torrance. My goal was to be in and out within 5 mins with coffee in hand. But that absolutely did not happen. Instead, I was surrounded by all of these yummy looking treats. I mean, there were delicious cakes, sweet breads with different fillings, this amazing looking croissant with strawberries and cream and more! My eyes and mouth were so confused on which one to get. At this point, the coffee was the last thing on my mind. I'm sure the employees there were looking at me as if I was crazy because I literally walked around the glass case about 5/6 times debating on the sweet cream chocolate filling bread or the croissant with the sweet cream with the ruby red strawberries. Well, as bad as I wanted the croissant, I did go with the bread with the sweet chocolate cream because I was eating on the go and this choice seemed a lot less messy. After about 12 minutes figuring that out, I finally ordered an iced vanilla latte. The latte was great and my chocolate filled bread was even better! I left very happy and satisfied. Came for the viral supreme croissants, but unfortunately it was too late in the day for most of their items. Didn't realize it was a small shop inside of an Asian food court. Pics make it look larger than what it is. We were still able to pick up a few goodies to enjoy. My wife got a sweet potato bread, my son got a custard donut, and I got a cookie croissant. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I liked that the cookie croissant was three mini croissants with a large cookie that I broke into 3 and enjoyed 3 times. It's best warmed up a little so that the chocolate melts and the croissant softens. Definitely going back for a chocolate supreme croissant. One can buy the goodies and sit at the food plaza or bring home the goodies to enjoy. I haven't tasted each single item they have but the ones I got, is all good. The salted dinner roll with a pocket of "air butter". That "hole" area, that's your trigger for a cheery you. I made my happy dance after a few bites and sipping my (reduced chai, one May request it). No bs. Hmm maybe because it's Friday too. I finished my ham and cheese too. Good to eat it, after resting for a few hrs. Their azuki and custard/cream patisserie, is a must. King donut's a fave with my kids. I tried chocolate ganache cake slice at $6.49(I think?). A bit dry on the cake part but it made up for the filling and ganache part. The strawberry is also same price. It's a simple creation with whipped cream and slices of strawberry and it's great taste. People behind the register were accommodating and answers questions in vigor. It's food. That alone is a necessity in human species. The lingering scent/whiff should enticed almost everyone, so even if it's in a food mart/grocery, we queue up for our daily carbs and sweets. Love this place but I noticed flies hanging out inside of pastry displays a few times. I know they will just open the cases to let the flies out. I get they're close to the door and people often open and close cases but be more aware when getting your pastries. They always have a great selection here and it's in a convenient area to get something quick for breakfast or a quick pick up for treats for a gathering. Everything is always delicious! For some reason they seem to always forget to make my drink when I purchase pastries as well and will only remember once they see me just waiting. I don't know why but it happens all the time it is kind of funny. Customer service is always great though. I'm disappointed, I usually visit the location in Downtown LA and love the Blueberry Lavender Marcha. I was excited to see there is one not too far from my home, unfortunately ordering was difficult because the last taking my order did not understand that I wanted 3 large blueberry matcha. She kept saying matcha latte and I kept saying yes with blueberries. There are posters up with the flavors I would think an employee would understand the menu. I was so disappointed when I got to the nail shop with drinks and we all just had regular matcha lattes.... No blueberry. This place is inside a Korean Supermarket that I probably wouldn't have shopped, but I heard this bakery was pretty good. This Cake was excellent. Just the right amount of moisture. Not too sweet.
