The female entertainer was extremely nice and out going she made sure all the kids had a turn with the bubble items. She played, danced and face painted all kids. I Couldn't be any happier. They have provided  performers at several (4) of our events this past year and really every year now. We always talk to Lisa who works hard to accommodate even our smallest request. We appreciate how flexible with the orders and how generous she has been with her time, and her attention to detail. Each year we try to hire something  unique. And she provides us with a wide variety of choices that are always interesting and engaging for the kids. We appreciate Lisa and this company and our longstanding relationship with them. I wouldn't deal with this business again. The booking process itself should have been the red flag to me. They were a bit disorganized with their emails and confirmations but I thought maybe it's the nature of the business. I booked a clown to paint faces and do balloon art, all of my emails had both in the description of the services I would like to book. The clown arrived on time and was good with kids. However, she lacked both skills and supplies. Face painting - not very creative, most boys got snakes and cars and most girls got flowers and butterflies. Before the clown lady showed up, they all wanted different animals or characters on their faces but somehow got talked into those limited choices. The only face painting I personally supervised was my daughter's, she is fascinated with Despicable Me minions and wanted a yellow minion and a purple one on each of her cheeks. If you ever seen those cartoons - they are not very elaborate, just a twinkie shaped character with legs and round eyes. What she go was awful and the paint quality wasn't the best I've seen because it was still wet half hour later. At this point I thought - ok, maybe balloon art will be her forte... Balloon art - she run out of balloons..... and all she made was maybe 3-4 dogs and 3-4 swords. Now, I found it so disorganized and unprofessional that I called the business number to express my disappointment and somewhat panic ( we had 14 kids at the party and all of them wanted something ballooney). I asked the lady in charge if someone perhaps can deliver balloons to us or the clown can make a balloon run - to which she told me that she was supposed to provide the face painting services only and not the balloon art. WHAAAAAT? I asked her to look up my emails where I mention both in my request and after going through my emails, she agreed that they made a mistake and offered a partial refund. I accepted the refund and dismissed the girl early because there was really no point of keeping her - balloons run out ( sorry, but I also highly doubt that she could have made something besides a sword or a dog) and at this point everyone at the party had either a flower, a butterfly, a snake or a car already painted on their face/hand. As far as my experience - it was mediocre. I would not hire or recommend this business. read more

I didn't want to post a negative review considering the act I originally booked showed up and did their job and got tipped well, but the person that runs this organization and is in charge of booking is extremely unprofessional and is the reason for my one star rating. Yes, I paid for one thing, but changed my mind and wanted to go with a different act. When I called Lisa the morning of the party to check if I could make the changes she assured me with total confidence that it was no problem and that what I wanted was still available. I was happy and grateful she could accommodate my needs on a last minute basis. I would've been ok with it if she told me that it was too late but because she assured me that it was absolutely no problem- I was expecting what we agreed upon. After confirming the time slot with me, we hung up. Well, the person I originally booked showed up 5 hrs later completely unaware of the changes I requested. When I called Lisa to find out what happened, she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about and denied the whole thing. That's what really upset me. She kept resending me the receipt of what I paid for, I know what I paid for!!!! What about what we talked about??? Complete denial! So unless it's in writing, Lisa's word doesn't mean anything and you can't count on it . Her lame excuse was she didn't send the right person that day because when she looked in her texts she saw my original text about a quote and a different tentative date (which I never booked/ paid for/and set time for) and assumed that's what we talked about ... are you kidding me?? Why would I book 2 parties for the same child and doesn't she have a system/a calendar where she keeps track of what dates are actually booked and paid for, besides looking at her texts?? We had numerous conversations since my original inquiry and a different date was booked but apparently Lisa doesn't have anyway of keeping track of what people pay for. And why did she confirm the time with me before getting off the phone and how could she be confirming it for a different date that was never booked? Total disaster. I posed a little bit of a challenge for Lisa by making few changes and she failed to address them and take responsibility and even went as far as to blame me for her confusion. As a business manager she's very rude, unorganized and unprofessional. I do not recommend them. read more

I wouldn't recommend this agency to anyone , I have used them twice , and am not gonna use them anymore . They are unprofessional and lack respect for their clients . The first time i used them we had a puppet show for my first sons birthday party and we really liked the puppeteer , she was a female i believe her name was Sarah , so for my other sons birthday we wanted to have the same person , I asked Lisa ( form the agency ) specifically and i stressed in my email a lot that we want to have the same girl we had last puppet show in sept , ( Sarah ) and she confirm to me that Sarah is the one who is going to come . On the day of the birthday I was surprised to see a male puppeteer he was ok but not what i expected for a 4 year old birthday party , he was a bit too loud without a clear story line this is very unprofessional I do not recommend this agency to anyone read more

We booked Batman to come for my sons 3rd bday party and it was wonderful! My son was so excited that Batman was there and also were all the kids, he truly entertained them with making balloons and I was able to get a second activity but because we had so many guests I decided I only wanted balloons and for him to take photos and be part of the cake celebration. The entire process was so easy - from booking to Batman appearing. On top of that I loved that I did not need to give him any direction what to do, he just ran with it. My only request was for him to be engaging and entertaining and he definitely went above and beyond. I highly recommend Justin (Batman)! We will def book with this company next year!! Clown Natasha was fantastic! She showed up on time and automatically began entertaining the kids. Too keep the partying going she even played games I didn't request. I would definitely recommend her. True the booking person is very unorganized. You have to be EXTREMELY patient with her...I gave her my payment info over 3 different times over the phone, I was charged twice for a deposit(one of the charges was refunded-no problem-but I had to call), and the day of the party I had to give the payment info again. Lisa sent us a magician, James, for our daughter's 4th birthday. His magic show was wonderful. He set up a magic castle/tent and looked like a baron. James was also polite and funny. He showed up early for the appointment. That really reduced our anxiety. And it was nice that magician himself contacted us before the event. Never ever go with this business for your party needs. Lisa who answers the phone is very rude and knows nothing about customer service. My sons magician was booked I had already received a receipt from this lady and she later calls me and tells me she has booked our magician for another gig. I just had my sons 4th super hero Birthday party and I had forgotten to get him his all time favorite character "Spider Man"!!! I found Create a Kids Party online two days before and I called. I was so worried about the whole transaction because I had no idea what to accept. The day came and "Spider man" showed up!! It was the most magical moment for my son. From the moment he came, he lit up all the kids faces. They were all drawn to him like flies. He remembered all of the kids names and had them all engaged with all the activities. We had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (Rich) come out for my son's 3rd birthday at a park. He played games with the kids and they had a lot of fun. Then he did some magic tricks with the kids and my son was Rich's helper with the magic act. I appreciate how Rich was focusing my son as a center of attention, but at the same time he had all the kids engaged with the games and magic act. That was the first half hour. Then the second half hour, Rich left and changed into a clown outfit. He made balloon animals for all the kids. He even made another balloon animal for the kids that popped their balloons. Then he did more magic tricks and again, the kids were engaged and laughing even the older kids that were in upper elementary. Thank you so much Rich! You did an AMAZING JOB! I found "createakidsparty" online, I called and spoke with Lisa and boy was Lisa great she was very sweet, answered all questions I had and made sure I was a happy customer!! I rented the "Adventure Girl" (Dora) for my daughter's 3rd birthday party and the character was AMAZING! Naiomi worked great with the children! The children had a ball and enjoyed the "Adventure Girl". After the Naiomi finished her activities with the kids, she left for a few minutes to change her costume and returned to do face painting for the children. The character had a lot of patience, and handled the kids with respect and care. She was very interactive! I definitely plan on doing more business with this company!! I got on here just to say thank you. our party was fantastic. My son is 3 years old. Pretty hard to keep in one place for too long, but the outdoor bubble show was the perfect choice. Our performer Nick, showed up a little early and set up and the show started on time. He really makes great bubbles and he's funny!Even the big kids had a lot of fun. Our superhero party for our 4 yr old was truly super with the Lightening Hero. He came to the party and jumped right in, entertaining the kids and turning it into a really magical experience for them. The kids followed him around and the adults loved it too. I was the puppeteer on that client's party having to replace the one that was requested who just happens to be my wife who I had trained. I have been a puppeteer for over 20 years performing at schools, libraries and private parties so I figured the client would be happy with my services. Unfortunately do to personal circumstances I had to take her place. This switch was in no way the fault of Create A Kids Party, I solely take the blame. It was a last minute emergency decision which happens from time to time. I have worked with the team at Create A Kids Party for over 15 years and have always admired their professionalism, just look at their past reviews. Okay Moms/Dads...I have never written a bad review for a business because I always see the good in everything. Please spare your self the embarrassment and book with someone different. I hired a clown to perform at my daughter's 3rd birthday party and she was truly not what we expected. The clown showed up looking very unorganized, dirty, no clown make-up, and no skills at all. In speaking with Lisa at the time of booking - I specifically said what I wanted and her clown did not deliver. The kids were twisting thier own balloon animals because the clown told them that she wasn't experienced and just learned how to twist. The "sweet pea" clown was not able to hold the attention of the children and they were not amused. I called Lisa while the clown was with the children just to kindly express my concern and she wanted to "ARGUE"...wow! My husband was standing there with me and told me to hang up the phone as there was no need to be provoked into a shouting match...WOW! Worst of all...Lisa continued to text message her clown throughout the hour after I expressed my concerns so this caused a MAJOR distraction as well...all around horrible. All of the other adults were disappointed as well and continued to comment on how terrible the clown was and kept asking if I hired her off of "Craigslist"! I decided on a very last minute small birthday party for my son's 3rd bday at my house on a Sunday. I called Create a kids party that previous Thursday in the early morning and spoke with Lisa. She was able to secure a Spider-man (my son is obsessed with Spidey) to come and entertain the kids. We had Grant as our Spider Man and HE WAS FANTASTIC!!!!! I highly recommend him. My best friend used this company for her son's birthday, I believe she had a clown there, and it was fabulous. The kids loved it. Every year I throw one big party for both of my sons all in one day and I make it as fabulous as possible. With that being said I knew I wanted to use the same place to send someone over to entertain the kids. I contacted Lisa who by the way anyone who says she's rude has to be out of their minds, to me she was extremely funny and so down to earth and easy to talk to. I probably talked her ear off too much. I checked out the website and had both kids pick out someone they agreed on and because I love Fairies they chose to have a fairy. Lisa verified everything and the Fairy arrived right on time. As a matter of fact, 10 of the kids had not arrived to the party yet and she offered to wait to start at no charge. She was amazing. She was young and so great with kids. Even the adults wanted to hang around and participate. She did great face painting and played lots of games and my kids are special needs kids and she took the time to make sure they interacted in everything. I can only say great things because its hard to find patient people to work so well with kids and she captured that. I had to call Lisa afterwards and let her know how great it was and I will definitely be calling her this year for our Dr. Suess themed party. Thanks Lisa and our Fairy. I booked them for my son's baptism party. The guy who came in as the monkey was the best. He was 10 min early and ready to go. My so danced with him and had the best time of his life. The first 30min he entertained as a monkey and the next 30 min he dressed as a clown and entertained the kids with balloons and other activities.
