I love create so I order it to deliver when I can't go in. However, Create is so on and off when they deliver. It can come good and fresh or it'll come cold and old. 2/3 times so far being delivered, my food has came cold. I ordered the Avocado fried egg toast and it's COLD and my avocado on it even browned. My sweet potatoes fries are cold and soggy as well. Half of the time my drinks are spilled too which I'm not too angry about since they come on bikes. It's just upsetting that my food comes cold- do they make it way before pick up is ready?? My avocado shouldn't be brown and food feeling like it came from the fridge.. I feel like my order sat and waited because even the brown paper bag is all soggy... it's a disappointment. read more

Create just catered a healthy breakfast for my office and it was a HUGE HIT. The food was exciting, fun, and delicious. The staff was exceptionally helpful and communicative, and Create was very flexible and accommodating (I had to change the date of my order several times due to snow storms). Great food but there's no order to ordering. You walk in and are met by a multiple food stations but for the life of me, can't ever tell where you need to go to order. Have been cut in line many times cause of this. I will not step inside if it's packed for this reason. If the owners are reading this, please "create" an ordering line :) read more

This place has really good food but as in today service was so bad. I've always come here after work and order the same thing (2 sides, rice and chicken) but today I guess the guy is in a bad mood giving attitude and telling me I can't get that when I always did. So I don't understand why had to be treated the way I was. Didn't even purchased anything because the server did not want to give me what I wanted and always got. Ordered a chipotle bowl (no nuts listed in ingredients) from here with special instructions that I am allergic to peanuts. Great food, I come here at least twice a week. However on my last visit I stood in the normal line, and people formed a line besides me (in the space which is not normally a line). I watched as 3 people (who all came up after me) got their orders taken. It was very rude and after about 10 minutes of being ignored at the head of the line I ended up going elsewhere. No line/customer flow, they kind of just look at you and wait till you say something. I payed for my sandwich which took 15 minutes to make and after she swiped my card she says nothing. This place is a disaster. Every time I come, I want to walk out as I watch them prepare my food. It's filthy, they literally keep their bread on the floor. They do not keep a clean working environment. As a vegetarian it's disturbing to see that they use the same spatula for the meat as they do on the eggs. The service is horrible. Nothing here has seasoning. You can get the same healthy food from the supermarket for 1/10th of the price. If you are lazy and have no taste buds, you will love this place. Everything good in this universe.. is in here. It can be a little overwhelming due to all the different menu boards .. but as soon as you get a feel for the layout it's a breeze. I usually make my own quinoa bowl and add sweet potato (so good).. salmon.. and whatever else my eyes see. The yogurt options are also refreshing .. fresh juices .. all good. Note that for breakfast they only have muffins bagels and basically gluten snacks.. unless you get from the juice bar. The food is always great, the space is clean, and the staff is very friendly. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the juice bar, which they really need to separate from the coffee. If you just want a quick coffee on your way to work, and someone in line in front of you orders some fructose monstrosity (açaí bowls and the like), you're going to be waiting a while. A WHILE. The staff is very fast, but they should separate the people who just want coffee poured into a cup (which takes all of 10 seconds), and those who want a personalized fruit bouquet in a bowl. read more

Yummy healthy food that's good for your belly. Stumbled across this hidden gem on our way home for a quick bite. If you like juices and smoothies this is your place. Great food bowls, veggie friendly and meat lover friendly. Large portions too. I had the Zeus bowl with quinoa it was so good and served warm. Not a big fan goat cheese so luckily they were happy to substitute with no problem. Being a Texas girl this place reminded me of Austin. Definitely worth a try...highly recommend! read more

I have been to create a hand full of times since it has opened. Only because I work right there with it having healthy options and a quick pick up. However, from having the salads, soups, and hot dishes the price varies all the time. It seems like the cashier wants to charge you something different everytime. Also depending on the salad guy one will charge you for extra toppings and and denying to chop my salad. Meanwhile I've had the option to pick unlimited toppings before and had it chopped. Felt sick to my stomach the last time I had there food. No thanks! Saw that it was shut down by the health department! Gross. read more

I went here one night with my friend and did not expect them to have Acai bowls, but they do! Everything they have is so fresh! My greenilicious-acai bowl had apple juice in it, but the thing is...they freshly squeezed the apple in front of me for the acai bowl! Not to mention the final product was delicious. The food here can hit the spot when you're hungry. But someone has to do something about the staff here. The staff is absolutely disgusting. No sense of customer service. If you've been waiting for a prolonged period of time to order, you will most likely hear "YOU NEED TO WAIT WE ARE BUSY! WAIT BUDDY!" My husband and I are obsessed with Create. We go multiple times a week or have it delivered. Create offers fantastic tasting healthy food, with in season and organic options. The salads are my favorite! I highly recommend the Farmers Market salad and the Brazilian Bomshell smoothie, is a must try! The space is spacious with lots of seating and "hipsteresc" decor with jars or pitchers of fresh flowers. It is a great spot for a casual, quick, and healthy lunch or dinner. The breakfast is great too, they have lots of avocado toast options! This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the Astoria area, and we hope they expand to Westchester in the future. read more

Create USED to be AMAZING! We have been going since they first opened on Ditmars, and used to go multiple times a week. The old manager, I think his name was Mohammed, was great and always made sure we had a good experience. I don't know if they've changed owners, but Create has steadily went down hill since January. The last 3 times we've went we've been disappointed. The food isn't the same and the customer service, excluding the guys that make your food, is just terrible. I was there tonight at 8:30 pm and the girls in the smoothie area were more concerned with cleaning up then ringing up the guests that were patiently waiting with hot food. When I said thank you, she didn't respond but instead just gave me a look. Create now makes me want to go Local Kitchen or to the grocery store and cook my own dinner. If I could of given this review 0 stars I would which is sad because it used to be a solid 5 stars. read more

The juices and food aren't bad but customer service is disappointing. I've ordered through Seamless one particularly hot day and my order was missing a drink. I've called the restaurant to get a refund for the drink and not have the delivery person come back with a substitute, like I said, it was a hot day. I was told that I would get credited back and two weeks later, I still haven't gotten a refund. I made sure to give the restaurant enough time to credit my account before making this review. What drew me in was the giant welcoming space. From the street, you can tell that there's plenty of table space with plugs pretty well distributed along the wall. Since Starbucks across the street was entirely full, this seemed like a good alternative since I wanted a smoothie rather than coffee anyway. Yes, everything here is on the slightly expensive side, especially for Astoria. But I think it's because of their striving for fresh food options in the health food desert of Queens. Everything is made from scratch on the premises (at least from what I could see of the kitchen). They pipe in pop music overhead, but I found that headphones easily blocked out the volume. Picture that your corner bodega expanded and made pseudo foo with a certain how do you call it Greek flair (Zeus bowl anyone?) and shakes and salads and a whole mess of other stuff. It is Astoria after all. Do I expect that all of it will be great? No. The appeal is that you'll find something you like here and come back to get it again and possibly even be able to sit down to enjoy it because there is a real lack of seats in other establishments which are just smaller. Ultimately this is a convenient store to have in the neighborhood and it's better than another bank, 99 cent store, or overpriced restaurant trying to pay the rent by flipping overpriced burgers. A meal can cost you about ten dollars but it's not a bad one and might even be mostly healthy. read more
