My sister and I attended a 21+ paint & sip night this past Friday (we painted the Autumn Brook painting). We really enjoyed it! Our instructor, Marco, was great at guiding us through the steps while playing music and giving us tips on our paintings. Deb and Tania were great hostesses and supplied everyone with wine, snacks, smocks, and paint brushes. It was a wonderful way to spend a Friday night, and we ended up with pretty nice paintings to hang at home! We will definitely be going back for more. My girl friend and I went here on a Saturday night. We had such a great time. The staff and the painter were all very sweet and helpful. We had called earlier in the week to book our reservation, and the woman who works there, Tanya, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I got there early and was greeted by the co-owner Angela, who was super fun and friendly. She got me going with my glass of wine and chatted with me while we waited for others to arrive. They have a nice wine and beer bar along with some snacks and non alcoholic beverages for purchase. The space is big, airy and bright. Perfect for painting. Our instructor, Sarah, was great. She explained things well, making it easy to follow. She was on hand for guidance and was very positive. There was music in the background while we painted, and folks were talking at times and quiet and having fun painting at other times. Because of school year just ending, they didn't have a full class but only four people. They didn't cancel the class on us, instead gave us the royal treatment. It was lots of fun and very relaxing. I was very apprehensive about going here as I am not a creative person, however, I had so much fun!!! The instructors are wonderful. They take it very slow and show you what to do. They also want you to be creative and personalize your painting. You just kick back, relax, have a drink, listen to music and paint. The facility is very easy to get to with plenty of parking. We had a birthday party for our 7 year old at Create, Mix and Mingle. It was an amazing experience from start to the end. Owners of the studio are extremely friendly and welcoming ladies. They helped us with organization, gave great suggestion for cake, pizza and made whole experience enjoyable for everyone (from 4 year old to 44 ). Studio is modern and spacious. It was a lot of fun and I was very impressed. I had never painted before so I was a little concerned. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave us individual attention and explained the various tools and techniques. I must admit my painted turned out much better than I expected and had fun doing it. This was a very fun event and we turned out to be pretty good artists. But there were several things that made it feel a bit of a rip-off. My friend took 14 people there and paid $45/head. it came with a very weak mimosa in a paper cup. Several didn't have it and chose a soft drink instead, but that was charged separately and were not given credit for the mimosa. Those that had a second small glass were charged $10 for weak, small drink. Furthermore, they then ask people to tip the instructor. I've never had a class of any kind in which an instructor gets a tip. I would expect the studio to pay the instructors enough money not to require tips. The instructor was very nice but the person managing the Sunday class was not very nice. These items make me very hesitant to come back. read more

I have no painting experience what so ever. But I walked by this place and was intrigued. My boyfriend and I returned later that day for the night class. We had so much fun! The instructor Chan was awesome! And Angie and Deb made us feel like we had been friends for years. They also have a bar area with beer and wine, and non alcoholic drinks. You can drink while you paint. About a week later, I went back with some friends and they had a great time as well! A group of us are planning to go back later this month for my boyfriends birthday. Great spot for kids!! My 10-year old son has attended two week-long summer camps and is a big fan of this creative studio. The separate kids' room is located on the corner of the space with bright sunlight streaming through the windows. With colorful artwork covering the walls, and an efficient and well-organized studio laid out for the day, you can feel good about leaving your child for the morning or the all-day session because they will have a great time. The staff and the artist of the day lead the kids through the steps to create wonderful painted canvases. I'm very impressed with the quality of the work my son has created - much better than anything he has been able to achieve at school. Each piece he paints builds on things he has learned and they get better and better. He's ready for Week 3! read more

I absolutely love, love, love, this place. I love painting and Create Mix And Mingle is a wonderful place for people who love to paint. The atmosphere is very mellow and laid back. They give painters plenty of room to paint. I've been to other venues and I always feel cramped. The instructor is set up on an elevated stage so you can see all the detail going on. I also did not feel rushed which I really liked. They also had furniture (stools) which are very nice for painting. I do not drink but they had soda which was fine. Angela and Deb arranged a private painting event at our private residence for 25 people. We went this route to give us flexibility in the arrangements. They visited our place and suggested a set up that would work for the event. There are several paintings to chose from for your event. On the day of the event Hannah and Bekka (sp?) arrived promptly and set up the easels, paints, etc., They were very flexible and extremely patient with a crowd that was ready to party. The evening was a lot of fun and everyone commented that they had a really good time given that many had not been to a paint and sip event before. We went for a well deserved GNO and ha a blast! I was skeptical because I can barely draw a stick figure, but it was SO MUCH FUN! Chan, the instructor, is very helpful and the wine at the bar helps you be more relaxed and creative. The ladies that own the place are friendly and sociable. I attended Create, Mix & Mingle for a work retreat day. I was so impressed, I had to have my birthday party there. I liked the variety of art they have to choose from, just fantastic! The service could not be more personalized and wonderful. Deb was just incredible. Not only did she make sure that your event went off without a hitch, she went above and beyond in so many ways: pricing for a large group, getting additional supplies that you needed (wow), checking in with all of the guests, recommending catering that was very good, and having a planing meeting with me to ensure all the couples at my party would be happy with the painting selection. The artists was very nice and helpful. My friends went home happy, even though most of them did not have any painting experience at all. I highly recommend this spot. Came here with some friends and my kids (6-yrs old and 9-yrs old) for a gathering that my friend organized. My artistic skills have always been blah but I figure it'll be a fun experience and fun for the kids and the experience we got here was amazing!! The staff is so friendly and accommodating!! I came into the studio last week out of sheer curiosity, and inquired about their services. I was greeted by a very polite young woman at the front desk who was kind enough to give me a tour and explain their services. I was very impressed by the beauty of the studio. They have two large rooms, one of which has a beautiful bar, stocked with drinks and snacks. Following my tour I was introduced to the two owners who were also kind and polite. Needless to say I am very excited to come and give this a try. It seems like a lot of fun with great accommodations, and customer service. read more

I have a new love of painting after my experiences at Create Mix and Mingle. My first experience was with a women's group where we painted a picture that I was so proud of, I had it framed! It was so much fun, not intimidating in the least, they had great beverages to choose from and I left inspired. I enjoyed it so much I took my daughter to paint this weekend. We had such an incredible experience - they were incredibly accommodating and it truly made our weekend. It was so much fun, my daughter is going to take a summer camp course and I have signed up to take my best friend for an adult evening to paint for her birthday! This is a late post but earlier in September we went there for a 8 year old birthday party and there were about 20 girls in attendance. My 8 year old and 11 year old had the best time and the pacing of the class was perfect! Their Monet waterlilies and bridge painting was amazing! They served pizza and cake and parents were comfortable hanging out as the girls painted. I highly recommend this as a great birthday option for kids who love art! My girls absolutely loved this summer camp! I sent them for a week from 9-4, and they were never ready to come home! The studio is beautiful and the counselors and art teachers were amazing. My girls learned so many new art techniques and came home every day with at least 2 new masterpieces on canvas each. I only wish I had more wall space to display their art! This camp really encouraged my girls to become little artists and made them proud of the end result! Karol, Chan, and Deb are all exceptional teachers and had such an impact on both of my girls. I will send my girls to this art camp every summer. And, I have also signed up for classes as well! There are so many average camps for kids on the Peninsula, and extraordinary camps are hard to find. But, I found one!
