I was searching online for a fluff and fold laundry service for a short term rental…read moreproperty that I help my daughter manage, ideally one that did pick up and delivery. When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

Just tried this spot another shot and I decided I'm never coming back. It is extremely expensive…read more To start the big dryersif is 70 cents for 9 minutes, and 70 cents for every 9 minutes after that. The small dryer are 50 cents for every 9 minutes. I didn't know laundromats were for rich people now. This is a shame because I've been coming here for years.

profoundly bad in service, customer service, client management, and I would assume product, though…read moredespite attempting for three weeks to have something printed I am not able to comment on the final product as I never received it In response to the owner: Your job was unfortunately below our minimum and we had made an exception to try to help you out (even though it was not beneficial to our company). -- You quoted me the price you thought was fair. I didn't ask for a discount, or come with any expectations around pricing. If you provided me with a quote that was below your profit margins that was a bad business choice on your part and had nothing to do with me. We provided the payment form, but you did not want to use it causing delay. -- You asked me to email you my banking details, which is so incredibly irresponsible. You tried to reach us during the lunch hour unsuccessfully and tried the exact same time the following day that is still during lunch. --I have called 4 times over the last three weeks, ranging from 11:20 AM and 3 PM - each time I was either told that no one was in the office who could run payment details but you could write it on a piece of paper (again the disrespect for for banking security my gosh.) or didn't I get an answer. I do highly suggest you hire someone who can help you with your business processes and educate you on banking security basics.

We have one daughter who is almost 2 and we've been at Stepping Stone since I returned to work…read moreafter my maternity leave. We've had wonderful experiences with Stepping Stone--the teachers (our favorite it Ms. Teresa) and the director have always been good at communicating and reliable. We feel comfortable that they are taking excellent care of our daughter, and will soon be caring for our little boy who is on the way. I've noticed that there's been very little turn over or change of staff since we've been there (which is not always the case for other child care centers) so I think they're doing something right over there from an employee point of view too. All the teachers are kind and patient and our daughter has always enjoying going to Stepping Stone. I've seen other people mention issues with the waiting list process. I think part of the issue is that this location is so small and in such high demand because if you live in the neighborhood (this location is an old converted house), it's wildly convenient and walkable. As soon as we were added to the waiting list--probably 8/9ish months ahead of our desired start date--we were told that we would eventually get into this location, but because of space and enrollment constraints we might need to spend sometime a another, bigger campus and wait until there was a spot for us to transfer. Not ideal, but it's a small campus and we've had such a good experience here that I wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing again even with the possibility of the minor inconvenience of spending some time at another location. When something is high demand, there's usually a good reason. And we've think Stepping Stone is great!

People think it's easy and intuitive to be a caregiver and it actually takes a lot of thought time and planning just to make sure each parent is happy and so are the kids at drop-off and pickup. And maybe we just don't notice how it is to get the kids back into shape right before they are picks up. I have never had anyone take care of our kids like you all do. Looking back at it only being a year since being here you have made us feel better than ever leaving our kids with you all and your staff.
