Minimal oversight on teachers. Teachers creating their own policies that are not compliant with district policies. Students that want to eagerly participate in sports are discouraged by coaches behaviors, tempers and failure to follow district policies about training in outdoor heat in access of 100 degrees. Coaches pick and keep "favorite athletes". The tryouts are just to go thru the motions to keep an" appearance of fairness" Some Clubs are fictional on the website, where most don't exist, the ones that do exist are disorganized and poorly run (teachers canceling last minute and late to their own meetings). The school is absolute garbage. Support staff are a joke and the counselors have little knowledge on how to advise the kids. Parents and kids will get the runaround if asking questions. If you are new. Good luck to you and your kids finding out when anything happens. The school staff will tell you sign up for Twitter to find out. For the amount if taxes to go to this school, save yoreself the grief and go to another district l together. #LCISD IS GARBAGE.

I love how each grade level has a whole separate wing and that 5th grade is totally off to themselves. The cafeteria is spacious and well organised. Their stage isn't huge but exceptionally prepared. The teachers present not all of them work at Williams all the time but they were super friendly helpful and supportive. The nurse called me days ahead of time to make sure I had the paperwork and medications ready in case my son had an asthma attack while he was there. He came home exuberant each and every day talking about what he had done and who he had played with - something he rarely ever does with his zoned school. If they operate like this during the normal school year I am envious of all the people who's children are lucky enough to attend this campus.

Anytime I call the bus barn it's an excuse. The last straw was today when my kids had to wait outside in the cold rain and the bus was almost 30 minutes late. And this previous Friday my kids didn't get on the bus until after 8 because the driver skipped us and didn't want to turn around so they sent a different bus completely. Their excuse to me was there's a sub driver. Absolutely ridiculous.

When I was getting bullied no one ever helped or believed me. It's crazy you would think elementary teachers would treat their students better n try their best to make a good experience. No child should ever be treated differently no matter what race they are. And not to mention they took me out of my classes for esl so I stopped getting the help and extra time I needed which made my grades drop and made me start to struggle in school. A certain snotty school pretty much passed on us because of my child's needs and I was forced to accept that we might need a "special" school. Sad and nervous, I set up an appointment for a parent tour the next day. Whether we get in or not, I can honestly give them five stars for the work they are doing. Where we've never felt like we fit in, there was a school where we could. This school is K-8 and just off of Montrose at Chelsea. Their goal appears to be to give children the ability to learn and develop skills in a safe environment with the intention of getting the kids back mainstreamed. It was crystal clear immediately that these people have the best intentions and the knowledge to fulfill those intentions well. This place is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but it is clear where the tuition goes. The ratio of teachers to kids is incredibly low and the children and staff alike seem happy. Ah, I forgot what that looked like. Best of all, the school was filled with kids just like mine. He was very relieved to finally be in the class and not stick out like a sore thumb. I don't know whether we'll be here in the fall, but I would highly recommend Joy to any parent whose child's needs aren't being met in a classroom setting due to ADHD, Tourettes, Autimism or the like. The goals are covered so it helps with the hot summer sun. There is full playground equipment for the kids, soccer goals, and a mini running trail. I come here pretty often just to shoot around. On Sundays, there's a group of adults that play here after church. The competition isn't great but a nice bunch and always welcoming.

Volunteering for our children's schools and support for education & community has always been…read moreimportant to me personally but after attending the Districts' volunteer appreciation luncheon I realized that it is the culture, the way of life within their schools. There were countless truly amazing, giving, kind people at the luncheon and listening to their selfless and unbelievably generous contributions was too great for words even. It started with Dr. Randle a truly phenomenal Superintendent, a strong school board and superstar administrators and they undoubtedly maintain excellence campus-wide at each of the schools amongst staff entirely. By viewing their various social media outlets you will notice how much they show their appreciation taking every opportunity to give back to their devoted employees, it's amazing. Mrs. Ziebold, Mrs. Becerra, Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Dickerson and future administrators have our families' unending support and gratitude and we look forward to continuing to watch the district & it's success continue to grow and flourish! #betheonelcisd
