Wanted to send a thank you floral arrangement to a friend in San Antonio at the last minute and looked at all the Yelp listed florists. I perused the listings skipping those that are "sponsored" and focused on businesses with nearly perfect Yelp scores with high number of reviews. Well, a 4.9 Yelp score for Creative Floral Designs by Helene was enough for me to apply the brakes. I certainly liked their website's photo display of available arrangements. I picked the "Dolled Up In Pink" floral design and it was delivered as scheduled. The recipient loved the results. So did I!

She was able to stay within the budget provided and still create a great looking arrangement. It's been 6 days and the flowers still look great. I ordered my mother a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day and there was a problem with the delivery to her assisted living facility. The flowers were delivered but somehow did not make it to my mom. My mom told me that her flowers didn't arrive so I reached to let Creative Floral know. I wanted to send something both colorful and lasting. Janice walked me through the options professionally and above all, gave such personalized treatment. Just this week, I wanted to send to a gift to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law who are celebrating their marriage. Established in 1985.

Helene began designing floral arrangements after taking design classes while Ron was stationed in California. She used her talents all over the world till Ron retired. One holiday season they found their current location and 27 yrs later have added fresh/permanent floral designs, seasonal decor, unique gifts for men, women and children, antiques and local art and authors.

Helene has always had an eye for the artful things in life. She attended art school and several Floral design classes. She has an uncanny ability to look at upcoming season of floral and home design and put together a "Look" that is unique and timeless. I've been ordering beatiful and long-lasting floral arrangements both with fresh flower bouquets/arrangements and silk flowers arrangements from Helene for many occasions for over 14 years now. Her creative work and the work of her loving husband Ron and her lovely, friendly and sweet daughter Janice are all spectacular at what they do. Oh and their antique furniture is always something unique in which I have enjoyed buying many pieces from them for nearly the past decade and a half now. The children's toy selction is unique as well with something special that brings out the kid in all of us. They also have toys for the big boys too, I always enjoy buying a unique gift item for my husband for any holiday occasion and sometimes just for the heck of it because the gift items seem to spark the imagination and it puts a smile on the receiver of the gift. Their candles which are made of 100 soy and are long-lasting with beautiful and delightful scents that warm your heart . All in all Creative Floral By Helene is more that just a bouquet of beatiful flowers, it's a place for beautiful gifts for your children, your spouse, family members, your co-workers and employees. My husband loves this place because Helene is the best! I am always jumping for joy when I get one of her arrangements. The compliments do not stop... :-) Like Annie said, this is a family owned business so it's hand carried. I don't think the carrier is Helene but it's a lady. She will hand the flowers to me and tell me about them and how to properly care for them to maximize the life of the flowers. Her prices are reasonable for a unique arrangement. read more

Helene personally helped me select flowers for my Mom's casket and she went out of her way to explain the combinations and availability of flowers for October. Her store is fun to visit and I bought another gift while I was there. She also took care of the boutonnières for the pall bearers and now I am drying them to preserve them.
