Case in point: Our 3-year-old niece was so happy to have found a piece of sea glass on the beach. She loved it. However, she dropped it and it shattered, leaving her heartbroken. Seeing some children's jewelry on display at Spry Creek, my wife explained the situation and asked if by any chance they had any sea glass to incorporate into a necklace for our niece. The woman said that they did and then took tools out of her bag and began fashioning a special necklace for her right there! The niece loved it and we are forever grateful!

The store is mainly packed full of trendy and typical beach souvenirs and clothing but there are some exceptions. I put the stacks of Salt Life, Fish Hippie and Simply Southern tshirts in the trendy/typical category. Some of the nicer items that caught my item were Yeti containers, Southern Tide menswear and Cobian flip flops. In the past I have been a big fan of Farmer's Daughters jewelry but that wasn't very shoppable this time around as it was hard to get to the cases. With the challenges that COVID-19 have created for small businesses I tried to give them a fair shake while vacationing in the Outer Banks for a few weeks but Farmer's Daughter left me disappointed. The store was just as cramped as ever with merchandise spilling over into the aisles. And the employees were less than welcoming. One employee pushed past me, literally, to get back to her restocking task at the jewelry counter. And the employee who rang me up only said four words - "twenty-seven seventy-four."

Absolutely Disappointing and Unwelcoming…read more I have never felt compelled to write a review like this, but the way my husband and his service dog were treated at this boutique was completely unacceptable. From the moment they walked in, the attitude was incredibly uppity, dismissive, and unwelcoming. Rather than treating my husband with basic courtesy and respect, the staff made him feel as though he and his service dog were an inconvenience simply for being there. A service dog is not a fashion accessory, a pet, or something that should be treated with suspicion or disdain. My husband should never have been made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because he relies on his service dog. What was especially disappointing was the complete lack of professionalism and basic human decency. You would expect a boutique that presents itself as an upscale establishment to understand that good customer service means treating every customer with dignity and respect. Apparently, that was too much to ask here. There is a huge difference between being an upscale boutique and simply acting like you're better than your customers. Unfortunately, this experience felt much more like the latter. We will absolutely not be returning, and I would encourage anyone--especially anyone who requires a service animal--to think twice before spending their money here. No amount of pretty merchandise or fancy presentation makes up for treating people poorly. A boutique can have the nicest clothes in town, but if the people working there make customers feel small, judged, or unwelcome, it isn't worth walking through the door.
