We love Creative Living. They are have a beautiful selection of contemporary and unique items for your outdoor space. The staff are super friendly and creative, including the owner, Gita. They seem truly interested in helping you with your particular space (as a tip they will often ask to see pictures of the space you are working with, so have those available on your phone when you go). Not only do they have a great selection, but they care about your satisfaction. We bought a large outdoor piece of art from Creative Living and it showed up with a few imperfections. Gita, herself, came out to fix them and when she couldn't, she had the piece recoated for us. Another example is that when my husband and I were trying to decide on a fountain they turned off the AC so that we could hear what the fountains sounded like. (we didn't even think of that!) I purchased two fountains at the end of the season for just over $1,500. I was told that they would be delivered and installed free of charge because I was working with Mile High Landscaping (same ownership) to do some work on my yard. Before the fountains were delivered, I asked if I could swap one of them out for a different one. I was told that was no problem. But, then I got a call later saying they had packed up the other one already and I would have to pay hundreds of dollars if I wanted to switch it out. It seemed to me that it was their issue that they had packed it up and they should just look at it as a cost of doing business. Now I am told it will cost me $440 to even keep the old fountains and have them installed because I didn't actually spend at least $10k with Mike High Landscaping. They said the owner (Gita) didn't realize I hadn't actually signed a contract with them, only paid for a landscape plan, when she told my my fountains would be delivered and set-up for no additional fee. These people have many fountains and large landscaping structures in their yard and obviously move very large items around all the time. The fact that they are refusing to a) honor their original agreement to deliver and set-up the fountains I purchased for no additional charge and b) refusing to swap one fountain for another even before I have taken ownership of them seems like very poor and short-sighted customer service to me. Gita agreed to give me a refund for the fountains, even though I would have preferred to keep them with free set-up and installation as was originally promised. It is shocking to me that they would throw away a potentially very large sale (including two fountains a Spring landscaping project) over a small labor bill. I doubt I will be shopping there again or using Mile High Landscaping in the future. read more

Appropriately located in the Santa Fe art district, this shop has really unique and cool items to enhance outdoor space. They feature local artists whose specialties make outdoor spaces amazing. I've never seen anything in there I didn't wish I had space for! The owner seems really helpful, and they even offer design services to help make the most of your outdoor backyards. This is the best outdoor living center in Denver. I know because I've visited most of them. My friend Laurie, who is a landscape architect recommended that I visit this store and I'm really glad I did. The store has a modern/contemporary feel with impeccable merchandising so you can get new ideas on how to put the various pieces together. It's an amazing collection of outdoor furniture, art, fountains, and planters - stuff you won't see at other stores and many one of a kind pieces. I had the best experience shopping here. We came in thinking we were going to buy a certain water feature (which I had seen on their website). Gita showed us around and helped explain the difference in sound/ maintenance between all of the water features. With her guidance, we ended up with the perfect water feature for our space. She also helped us pick out some tall planters and rearranged things in her outdoor showroom so that we could visualize everything together. Gita Hyde, owner, helped me outfit my new rooftop deck w Mountain View's but more importantly helped me navigate through 4 gas line consultants and 3 different electricians to finally land the best outcome for warmth, aesthetics and the most comfortable and eye pleasing furniture on the planet! Her designs and visions for my rooftop deck are beautiful and will keep us roasting marshmallows on the fire pit w safely run gas line under the deck that produces a great flame. The pergola is now also heated and it didn't cost me a fortune because she guided me away from the wrong people towards the right people.
