I've been trying different nail salons in Tampa trying to find a place that can properly apply gel manicures. Sorry to say, this place was not it either. Aervice was fine, but quality of workmanship is poor. Got my gel manicure on Saturday evening-by midday Sunday 2 nails had chipped at the end. Today and Tuesday, and you can see the pictures below. I haven't even done dishes or laundry yet. Upon seeing my nails after 2 coats and a topcoat of red, I told the tech I can see through to the whites and the polish was not colored evenly over the nail. I repeated a few times, but the tech kept saying the color was just that light. Fine, then upon applying a 2nd coat, i've typically had decent nail tech ask if I want a 3rd coat because of the color being thin. read more

Was just here may 2021. Worst customer service ever. I need a nail repair (from previous salon) and since I didn't have time for pedi I request gel nail color change. While she was repairing my nail, she buffed so hard on my cuticle it left a scab. She was too busy talking to others and not watching what she was doing. I paid 25 for gel color swap, she rolled over her chair to the nail station and was going to do my toes from under the nail station. When I asked her, can you do my toes at the regular chairs she rolled back her chair hastily and acted like I was a problem. She did not speak to me at all and made me feel unwanted. Horrible service. They started on my nails as i was getting my toes done and rushed through the whole process. The tips weren't the right size and were put on incorrectly. No nail prep AT ALL. Acrylic was bigger than the size of my nail and was burning as they would be cured. Filed my nails and immediately put on clear coat leaving all the left over residue now on the nail. Acrylic was lumpy and uneven. A week later nails already started to separate from nail nail which allowed mold to grow underneath. But my pedicure was okay. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

My friend and I came in as a walk-in. We called ahead asked for prices and told them we were coming. Once we got there my friend waited very shortly. She got a police change on the toes along with an acrylic fill. They charged extra to trim the toe nails. When it came to the nails they did the fill, one of the nails were lifting minimally the tech took it upon herself to replace it without letting my friend know it was an additional surcharge. I had to remind the techs I was waiting to get my Manicure along with my eyebrows done. Once I get into the chair, QUICKLY doing my nails, barely cleaning under, super sloppy coats on my nails. Recently redid the interior and bought new chairs. Their price are fair. Only drawback is when they are busy they will make you wait extended period of time without offering any condolences. I should've went to my regular salon, but was in a hurry and this place was nearby. I also trusted reviews from fellow Yelpers :( When you walk in, its the typical nail salon...brightly colored walls with decor and lighting that neither compliments each other or looks good. My nail tech was nice enough, but she was slow and the massage chair I sat in wasn't working properly, which is a major fail in my opinion. In addition, she tried to use a cheese grater on my feet, but I declined. I was supposed to get a manicure as well, but didn't and will go back to my other salon for that service. Not horrible, but in Tampa where there is a salon on every corner, I expect better. On a positive note, the massage I was given was very good and my toes look decent, which is mainly why I'm giving this place three stars. read more

Initially my experience with this salon was excellent. The last few times have not been as good and based on my experience today I will not be going back. I went in for a pedicure. I was wearing a skirt and had to ask for a towel for my legs. The tech literally picked up a used towel on the floor to give me to cover my lap. How gross!!!! I love this place! It is the most organized nail salon I have ever been. Every supply, nail polish and nail dip is numbered, and has a specific place. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. The best thing I have been told from a staff member is that if I broke a nail, be it my fault or theirs, they will repair it...FREE! It is a warm, comfortable environment. PS. When I walked into the door, the gentleman was very nice that greeted me. I went in just for a pedicure. Another gentleman took me back to the pedicure chairs. There was 3 other people there, 2 of them were getting service & the other was soaking their feet. The gentlemen filled the bowl with barely warm water, after about 15 mins of sitting in the water, contemplated about just getting up & leaving but I decided to just stick it out. A great first experience at Creative Nails. Friendly staff and exceptional skill. I did a dip powder (first time for that as well as it is a new method of manicuring) with Lenny. Lenny was precessional, friendly and definitely knew what he was doing. He provided me with a pamphlet of the new style before I started so to enable me to make an informed decision. The price is fair and the salon is very peaceful as well. I will be recommending Creative Nails and "Lenny" In particular. What brings the rating down is my boyfriend's experience getting a pedicure. Today was thee most rude and unprofessional experience in a nail salon I've had in awhile. I went to Creative Nails today to get a pedicure. The girl started on my toes honestly did the shittiest job ever! I told her the paint job was bad and I wanted it redone. The worker next to me was with a customer and she told me to wait and she would paint my nails. All said and done my toes were painted. I paid and waited for my nails to dry. Before I left I asked the gentleman sitting in the front who the owner of the salon was. Very aggressively he kept asking why, what do you need? What do you want with the owner? I told him I just wanted to Speak with the owner about my experience and the young lady that did my nail maybe needs more practice. He tells me the owner is Tim and he'll be in tomorrow- I told him I'd be in pretty late because I work. Then he flips his story to the owner is in Vietnam. I laugh and he flips and becomes upset! Talking about I'll fix whatever you want, I'll give you a refund. Ok sir give me the refund since you brought it up and I feel like you trying to bullshit me. Now he can't refund the money because my pedicure took "an hour". I agree - I waited 30mins for someone to print my toes . He says he's gonna rewind the cameras to see how long she took to do my nails. I told him fine I don't mind waiting whenever you're ready. Now he says he doesn't know how to work the cameras. He proceeds to tell me that she can fix my nails or he'll call the police. He calls the police but he walks outside across the street to do it so I figured that he either wasn't really calling the police or he was making up a bunch of lies to the operator. They showed up in less than five minutes and come in to ask who called, I pointed at him and the man told the police officer to talk to me. Me and the office or go outside and he asked why was I being a disturbance and messing up this man's establishment. *Thought to myself - No wonder why y'all got here so fast he probably made it seem like I was in here acting an ass* Literally almost everybody in the salon stood up for me and explain that I was not being a disturbance and I have actually been calmer than he was during our whole conversation. One of their regulars even told him that she was disgusted on how he acted and would never come back again. The police officer basically saw that it was bullshit and told me to have a nice day and gave me the information that I needed. I truly appreciate everyone that's that up for me today and I will be filing a complaint, several complaints about this gentleman because he was the most unprofessional, rude us, and actually told blatant lies because he was caught in a lie from the get go. 1. I never wanted a refund, I never wanted my toes redone all I wanted was the name of the owner. 2. Not all black people are rude and ghetto - which was what he was trying to portray me as. AHT AHT!! I came here with my two daughters because school is finished and they wanted to have a little fun for their graduation my kids are five and seven years old. We thought that was the best experience as a mother and daughter's. We didn't ask for the price because we've been to a lot of places they charge kids less than adults specially because their nails are very small. My daughter decided to have just the color and then they told us to put gel because kids can play and ruin it we said OK then my daughter wanted a design like flower that it was completely not a flower. Because again they have small nails and it's so hard to have a design into it. I didn't mind paying I didn't ask for the price because I knew it wouldn't be more than 100 or so. Otherwise I will do my kids nails at home that I can buy all the colors specially because their kids. Once we left to cash out he said if you're going to pay cash or credit I said cash because I thought it wouldn't be too much and plus they closed. I went to the cashier to pay and he told me I would have to pay $200. I never ever had any manicure or pedicure me and my kids that I have to pay $200 otherwise I wouldn't do it specially because I do it once every two weeks. This is crazy I feel like they just took advantage of me specially because I told him I have cash. Im never ever coming back here again it was crazy crazy expensive I go to a lot of places even at the mall even luxury nail places just for me I'll probably say paid not more than $80 and for my kids it was like $20 each. $120 was the most I spent on my nails with my kids and it was a very very nice places with five-star reviews. I had to come here because I was very close in the area. Anyways they say you learn from your mistakes and that was one of my biggest mistake that I made. This was a very expensive & upsetting experience. The guy seemed very inexperienced. My pedicure was quick, missing a few steps and the price went up &10..I picked out pink for my toes, and a pink acrylic dip for my nails to match. They were out of what I wanted so I picked a shade lighter. The pink had a slight peach tone to it. I asked for my nails to be coffin but not too long. He took 1 hour & 45 minutes on my nails!!! And put 5 layers on because the polish he kept saying was see through. They are long and square and RED. I politely told him that maybe the label is wrong bc my nails are red. He said it's bc of layers. I said yes but even the first layer is red. He ignored me and acted irritated. My nails are also crooked and bumpy. I was in there for 2 hours and 20 minutes and couldn't fathom asking him to fix bc he had no idea what he was doing. I spent $84..gave him a $12 still, what would've been 20. He looked at the receipt and said nothing at all to me. No thanks, sorry you have Red lumpy nails, bye...nothing. I stopped going here 2 years ago because it took so long. But it's so close to home I tried again. Prices went up, service went way down. Too many places to choose from for that combination. Will never return. read more

It took them two hours and three people to get it wrong, and after repeated comments by myself on how it should look. They kept telling me it wasn' t that bad. It was horrible. Today Hanna worked miracles and fixed everything and made my hands look lovely. I appreciate the time and attention she gave me. Now I don't have to drive to Tampa anymore to find a great salon. Young did an amazing job replicating a picture I had found online. He hand painted each line and was extremely meticulous with matching it to the picture. I've been here multiple times and each time I go I give them another shot but this was my last time. I walked in to get a regular manicure. I was told to go to table #5. Sat and waited in the chair for about 5 minutes till anyone attended me. Finally the nail tech comes out with her hair soaking wet (shirt drenched). Puts my hand in a bowl of cool eater and tells me "soak". Another 10 minutes passes and I ask someone to please call her to do my nails and she said she's in the bathroom. I said no the bathroom is clearly open. She was in the back finishing up her hair bc she dyed it....I tell her I want regular polish & she tells me 3 times that I should get gel and I persisted on regular. My entire manicure from start to finish lasted about 10/15 minutes. She barely cut my cuticles after I asked her to...she was screaming in her language across the salon and then when it came time to paint my nails she did one THICK coat. I said to do two thin layers bc it will never dry. (Then she did) Overall it was horrible. Every time I get gel the polish chips in under two weeks. I always feel rushed.
