Things have changed at Creech in the last few years. Most recently replacing two brake pads with labor and "fees" came to $411.16. One thousand miles later the front pads are at 9mm and back pads are at 6mm. Labor was $270. Also I asked for full synthetic oil change and got one of those syn blends. The time before they left dirty grease on the white cloth seat (had to ask for them to clean it off) and before that I had to return to have the cabin air filter put in correctly (it was only partially installed, kept fluttering). I have kept returning thinking the problems were a fluke but I'm not so sure anymore. Things have changed. read more

I brought my 2016 Hyundai Sonata in to have the brakes checked, as I was hearing a disturbing grinding noise. With only 37k miles, they should not have worn out. The dealer was too far away, and I would have had to wait several days to get in. I made the appointment on Creech's website, and got confirmed quickly. When I arrived, I was greeted right away. They took my car back to one of the bays, and I waited in their homey and comfortable waiting room. Not long after, the service agent came to me and explained that the brakes were in good shape, estimating that they had at least another 20k miles before replacing the pads. He suspected that something had gotten into the space between disc and pad to make the noise, but assured me that the brakes were fine. This was a load off my mind! I found Creech after researching options for my parents, who were having an issue with their Subaru Outback wagon. My parents had been taking the vehicle to another very good shop, but felt the drive had become too long as they've gotten older. I've been doing business w/ these guys for several years now. It helps that they are located near my workplace (actually within walking distance in good weather) and even if I am not in the mood to drop the vehicle off and walk to work, they always are happy to give me a ride to the office. A lot of what drives satisfaction w/ vehicle repair is customer service. The guys at Creech really have that part down. They are very personable, and you get the feeling that they really want to make sure you are happy when you walk out of there. I've always felt that their work was technically competent and thorough as well, and they don't recommend or suggest work that you really don't need to have done (like a lot of other shops may do). I can't really comment on whether they are cheaper or more expensive than other shops, but based on my limited experience their pricing is reasonable. To me, finding a shop that treats the customer well and does good work trumps pricing in any event but I have never felt that their pricing was out of line in any way (but we can all probably agree that auto maintenance is just really expensive these days it seems!). I'd suggest giving them a try. Their wait area is very comfortably furnished, they have wifi available, plus free coffee and snacks. Be sure you look them up on mapping software if you are doing by because the location is a bit out of the way and can be tricky to find if it's your first visit. read more

I can't recommend these guys enough! Last week, my check engine light came on in my 2014 Cruze. I called every shop I could think of and everywhere quoted me astronomical costs to repair what I thought needed to be repaired. I called Creech and Jordan was super helpful. He said to bring it by today and they would get it fixed by end of day so I could pick it up on the way home from work. Sure enough, at 4pm as I was clocking out, I got an update that my car was ready! They don't haggle. They don't upsell services if it's not 100% necessary. I feel a lot more respected here than I have at previous mechanics who upsell me and rip me off. Daniel removed not-super-necessary services from my RO so that I would stay within my budget for repairs, and it made me feel heard. You won't regret coming to Creech! The shop I used to go to was bought buy a larger company. I brought my Honda in for service due to an odd sound that was only happening some of the time. I knew my vehicle needed other work, but I wasn't sure what those things where or in what order to tackle them. I was able to easily schedule an appointment. Their service technicians did an A-Z assessment of my vehicle during that appointment. Creech troubleshot (troubleshooted?) the odd sound and identified it on the first visit. I was given a quote with parts and labor for the other action items to be completed to ensure my car was running smoothly. I was given clear verbal explanations of the quote and the right order to approach those action items. Creech worked with me to complete some the quote in several visits--Money is tight and they understood. I still have some work to be completed, but I have peace of mind now. That is the most important part for me--I have got to have that vehicle running. I was given the time to understand the "roadmap" provided in the quote as well as time to address my questions and concerns. I'm not a car guru, I just need it to run. At no point did I feel rushed or that I was being taken advantage of. The Team at Creech took ownership of my repair needs and again provided a very high level of peace of mind and attention to detail. They would have been completely justified in charging us much, much more when we brought our Subaru in after having a burning smell and other issues on a drive down from New York. We needed to know what was causing the smell and if the car was safe to drive back to NY. They did a thorough examination of our car and gave us a full run down of all the issues--and there were many--and charged us only for patching one of our tires. It was such a relief to find them by way of my cousin. We'd never been to raleigh before and were being afraid of being taken advantage of as out of towners. I was looking for a dependable honest shop after a work van threw a scrap 18 wheeler tire up behind them after they ran over it just as I got behind them on I-40 to get off an exit. This left me with no option but to listen to the loud slapping and cracking as it passed beneath my 2020 Acura RDX. The tire had busted my radiator and turbo intercooler along with some brackets. I decided to use Creech import repair and now completely understand all the outstanding reviews. I am not going to start because I could go on for days about how well they did and how well I was treated. I am just going to say "go here and you will not be disappointed" and if you are then you are probably one of those people that can not be satisfied and will have to complain that the experience was too good or something. The thing is, even though most businesses would rather just not work with these type of people because it is not worth the money dealing with their unsatisfactory response to any of your attempts to help. I believe Creech import repair would satisfy these seemingly impossible to satisfy type because the experience is that good. If you are looking for a great dependable shop that is not going to try and get over on you then look no further. Creech import repair is one of the few memorable experiences I can recall. Had my 10(!) year old battery replaced recently at Creech. The appointment was scheduled with a couple days, took only 30 minutes, and the price was about what I'd have paid if I'd bought and Installed one myself, and this one came with a 3-year warranty. They informed me that the battery removal had resulted in a reset of everything electrical (like my radio settings), and the reset had resulted in an unusually low idle speed due to throttle(?) stickiness after 18 years, and asked for me permission for them to pay them to cleaned it. I had no hesitation about following their recommendation. After all, repeatedly they've assured me when I didn't need to have something done yet. Once, after initially telling me I needed brake work as part of my routine maintenance, they informed me after the service that the brakes turned out to be fine after closer inspection, and my bill was less than expected. Other times, they've given me the choice of doing something on this maintenance session, or waiting until the next one. The work is always of highest quality, and you can trust them to have your interests in mind. A rare quality sometimes! I wholeheartedly recommend them! read more

I've had my 2005 Corolla serviced here for over 3 years since my housemate recommended it, and I could not be happier with the service. They take the time to show me anything that may need attention, such as the dry rot on my tires when I recently visited for an oil change. I really appreciate the service reminder emails and the ability to schedule appointments and review my service history online. Pricing is pretty much what I would expect, but the customer service is totally worth it. Plus, they've never lost my car!
