Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. What made the experience even better was the service. Our waitress turned out to be the owner, Lynne, filling in while their server attended an event. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel like longtime regulars. Lynne and her husband, who bought the bar and restaurant four years ago, have clearly poured their heart into turning Mulligans into something special. It's the kind of place where the next time I walk in, I can already imagine everyone turning in their seats with a smile and saying, "Cloyce!" I had breakfast there two mornings - oatmeal with really good fresh berries the first morning, and the California omelet the second day. They were both very good and I would order either one again.
