Plus, ND offices usually have/had a more welcoming & warm atmosphere (plus took insurance, or at least used to). Never been to a City/County health center before - especially downtown - so I was going in with low expectations. Sure, random people come in here (including the random smells) but the office culture and decoration was surpisingly pleasant and neat. Check in was fairly smooth to boot. What really landed the solid 4 stars was the nurse that tended to me. If you just want to get tested for "that stuff" and want to meet/see a super cool RN while you're at it definitely ask for (or call ahead to check her schedule) Kristen; Kristen Wilson-Weiberg RN. Not only is her office right up front and really cool with the diverse (and snarky) decorations in her space but she is one awesome and delightful older lady. She exudes a very wholesome yet professional energy about her with just enough sass to click with people who strike up a little conversation. The blood draw was even one of the fastest yet smoothest I've ever had (just be prepared to hydrate right after if you came in parched; I almost fainted having forgot about this small detail). It is hard to get a CPAP equipment refilled because the refuse to do it. Not sure if the Dr is aware that his clinic is lacking in customer service or things are being neglected. It is really bad. Perhaps by sharing my story, such as it is, others will see the value in Sleep Care & Medicine so that they might seek help sooner --not later-- and perhaps place that care in the capable hands of Dr. Bandla. ************************* -A BIT OF BACKGROUND- I lost years of my life to "Sleep Apnea": due to the poor health it caused --unnecessarily so-- because I ignored my doctors' suggestions to see a "Sleep Specialist" for a "Sleep Study" (I heard these words within quotations VERY often, and maybe you have as well: from a concerned spouse, friend, or doctor?). When it was suggested to me, I not so much as 'decided' a Sleep Specialist wasn't a priority, but I let time pass without pursuing it: ie, I did not MAKE it a priority. But trust me, IT SHOULD BE. Because of that, let me tell you what my future became: my untreated & disordered sleep would be THE contributing factor to my deteriorating health for those two years. I've only now learned that those symptoms are scientifically documented consequences due to chronically poor sleep or chronic lack of it. BELOW: some of said symptoms: Severe fatigue & sleepiness, lassitude, swings between insomnia to severe over-sleeping; memory loss, thought disorganization, cognitive impairment incl. word-finding, forgetfulness; emotional dysregulation, impatience, depression w/suicidal ideation; heart palpitations, body temperature irregularity, weight gain & muscle loss; severe nerve pain, esp. the extremities; headaches, light sensitivity, hearing changes/loss + sensitivity. & more minor symptoms. Finally I'd had enough and lined up any specialist I could think of: (literally) Endocrinology, Hematology, Neurology, Neurovascular, Audiology + ENT, Pain MGMT, and even Gynocology! All were "fine" and said "see a SLEEP SPECIALIST & do a Sleep Study!!!". I finally got the hint and out of sheer luck, my doc was Dr. Bandla. *************** -THE DOCTOR- At my initial apt, Dr. Bandla asked a few questions to prompt me, then carefully listened to my confused babble about my symptoms, and somehow he understood, never getting frustrated nor short. Once he got the necessary information, he explained everything very carefully until I understood every detail: what my diagnosis likely is, why he believes that is, and then what the next steps will be from there. (And he was right about all his predictions, by the way). A Sleep Study was next, and he made sure every single detail was taken care of: for ex, he made sure a special Mouth-Breathing Sensor would be available for my study after I mentioned having chronic sinus issues. The help & time he spent with me is incredibly rare in today's medical system, and thanks to Swedish for accommodating that kind of care (too often time & money outweigh care. That was n not my experience here). **************************** -ABOVE & BEYOND- Any time I have called or emailed, Dr. Bandla would respond immediately, and he himself would respond personally most often (that is VERY rare these days). The most significant gesture was during my second Sleep Study where I would be "test-driving" a special C-PAP. That Friday night, as my tech helped me get situated, she explained how she'll call the doctor once I'm asleep. I asked what she meant and turns out, he was at home and was staying up late on his Friday night, waiting, just to hear how I was doing. I'm a well spoken person, but I struggle to adequately describe how touched I was from such a gesture. ********************* -CONCLUSION- I was eventually diagnosed and have been using the treatment machine, worn at night, for nearly a month. My body and my life is changing rapidly (It's the best diet & religion rolled into one: HEALED all while you sleep!). I have a rarer type of apnea called Central Sleep Apnea caused by my brain, not the throat like most folks. At night my brain stops telling my lungs to breathe, and my breathing literally stops, as if I've died. With treatment via the machine, my prognosis is very good. So, if you're in the Pacific Northwest, I highly recommend Swedish Sleep Medicine (Redmond or Seattle). There's a reason I drive 4hrs round-trip to be a Swedish patient, time and again. I am and always will be eternally grateful to Preetam Bandla and to his family for allowing us -his patients- to borrow him from you so that we may return to ours. -A.

When arriving- I was told I would be next. Let me tell you- I am in quite a bit of pain from an injury. So the nurse practitioner (not even a doctor) seemed to be the one seeing patients. She stuck her head out and said - I am taking lunch... just tell them it will be a longer wait. - everyone needs lunch right-? I mean really- who cares about patients when there is 'anytime unscheduled time off'. Enjoy that brake at the patients expense- after your staff indicated that he could be seen quickly to mitigate any PTSD Symptoms or adverse reactions which may disturb others. After voicing some displeasure at this- I was taken into a room by an administrative female who choose to belittle me to the point of a full blown PTSD Episode. I had asked to see a doctor- not some Affluent with a superiority complex. So after being fully triggered by staff- I was treated to 'Marty'- whom one can only describe as a [Medical Nazi]. In HIS facility- ADA Laws do not apply. The 1st amendment is dismissed for sensitively. This guy just antagonized me until I left. I believe he was trying to provoke a physical confrontation for mirth. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in years. A person with disabilities shouldn't be punished for being lied to and antagonized by a medical personnel when in need of medical treatment. Telling me that my language was unacceptable after being told I have PTSD was pretty low quality of a medical personnel. Escalating the situation was probably the worst thing 'Marty' could do. Making fun of me- while causing a PTSD meltdown- really showed his professionalism.

I have never felt rushed by him or his staff. Dr. Agress has a very calming and comforting presence, which is important for your annual check-ups. The Polyclinic is a very large facility. You have to check-in downstairs, provide all your current information, take care of co-pays, etc. But once you get to Dr. Agress' offices it doesn't feel as overwhelming. Appointments are fairly easy to get and you don't have to wait a month to see him.

She's easy to talk to, answers all my questions with care, and doesn't rush our appointments. She'll talk through my options and isn't pushy. I am shocked by the experience that I just had with Dr. Tribble. She was the on-call doctor for my regular doctor who perscriped me some emergency medication for a terrible cough I was trying to ease before leaving the country for two weeks. Two of my five prescriptions still hadn't reached the pharmacy two hours after the other three. So I called to let the doctor know and request that the two missing prescriptions be called in. Dr. Tribble called me back promptly but I was on a noisy bus and didn't hear the phone. Fifteen minutes had passed before I listened to her message. She requested that I call back with the names of the prescription, which I did. She then called me back again and was more rude than a doctor has ever been to me. Unfortunately I am in a position to deal with doctors on a very regular basis and frequently need to make requests of on-call doctors. I have never had an experience that even comes close to the rudeness and the combative attitude that Dr. Tribble displayed. I still can't figure out what her motivation was for acting that way. If being treated decently is important to you, I strongly urge you not to see this doctor. If you don't care about that, she might be a perfectly fine fit for you.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. My 89 year old husband had a total hip replacement five weeks…read moreafter having a major sinus surgery. It was a total nightmare until the PT, Oana, arrived. Not only is she knowledgeable and considerate of patient and caretaker, she is quite certainly one of the most caring and patient caregivers I have ever met. She, quite literally, pulled us from the dark dungeon of the first two weeks; she was there when no one else was available. Her cheerful smile and lilting voice was a welcome respite from the unending problems that we encountered. I can, with great conviction, say that neither my husband nor I as the 24/7 caregiver, would have made it without her. Talk about someone who goes above and beyond, and you have the very definition of this wonderful young woman. We have used Careage for my husband's first hip replacement in 2015, but this one was so much harder and so much more intense. Careage is indeed lucky to have Oana as an employee. Her directions are clear and concise and she never allows desperate depression to exist once she is in the house. Whatever Careage is paying her, it isn't enough. I owe my husband's life to her care and have told her on many occasions, "Thank you- there are no words other than thank you."

They provide subpar services in terms of ordering needed…read moresupplies to carry out care,, coordinating with family to schedule visits (and actually showing up for said visits), and discharging patients without prior notification or guidance. This kind of service leaves patients and their caregivers in the lurch when providing care and comfort to their loved ones. The management team does not know how to manage their staff appropriately in terms of time management and accountability.. The one nurse we did work with regularly complained of not enough staff for the coverage area, accountability from leadership and basically doing their required duties in care. I would not recommend this agency especially if you value the health and wellbeing of your loved ones.
