Ama was attentive, patient, and a great listener. I ordered the (1) Goat Cheese Croquettes, (2) Smoked Fish Dip, (3) Pestolicious w/ Salmon protein, and (4) Steak & Wake Burrito. The Goat Cheese Croquette was a bit much, too much cheese and required a palette cleanser. Maybe a bit more breading would help? But it's overwhelming on its own. Smoked Fish Dip was delicious. I recommend. Pestolicious was mediocre, pretty bland, wasn't heavy on the pesto flavor and required a bit more salt. Went to The Local House for a quick happy hour with a friend and it was such a cute spot! The space is inviting and pretty, with fresh flowers everywhere, including on each table, which I loved. The atmosphere felt open and airy, the decor was elegant, and it smelled clean and fresh inside. We both got prosecco for $5. Not that this place was terrible - it was just not exciting, very bland and boring just as how it sounds. Idk how they are still open. I don't mean to throw shade but just speaking facts in comparison to much better places like Pura Vida. Went here with my ex back in 2021. The bagel breakfast was good. Just what you expect. The Classic Benedict was really good. I ordered the truffle hollandaise sauce and it was delicious, the right amount of truffle to give it flavor but not too overwhelming. Came on a random friday at 4pm as Happy hour was starting. $2 Oysters from east coast (michigan); didnt really appeal, but the HH goat cheese croquettes looked cool, but mainly got the French fries, branzino, and burger. All equally on par. The smoked salmon Benedict tasted very fresh and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were solid and very crispy as well. We came around 4pm and they were nice enough to let us order a few bites as the kitchen transitions to the dinner menu and they don't serve food normally after 4. There's a happy hour cocktail menu Tues-Sun between 4 and 6. I ordered an aperol spritz, my hubby ordered a Summer Air (Prosecco, elderflower, peach and lavender bitters). Mom ordered a passionfruit margarita from the happy hour menu (margaritas flavors rotate). My daughter ordered a Brez Flow, which is a non alcoholic drink and she loved it! Read rave reviews about the key lime french toast and as a french toast lover, I made it my business to try it before I left this weekend. It was honestly just okay. Nothing I'd crave or have to come back for. The presentation was beautiful. Tons and tons of whipped cream. It's definitely not worth the price of almost $20 for 3 slices (1.5 pieces of bread). It doesn't come with sides either, so you hav ego add your proteins individually. I also tried the watermelon juice. It was really crisp and refreshing, but the melon it was made from wasn't very sweet. My partner got the pancakes and said they were the worst she'd ever had and described them as tasting like "cardboard". She ended up sending it back and swapping for avocado toast, which she enjoyed. The service was not good. Polite, when you could catch someone - yes, but severely lacking in attentiveness. We literally did not see our server at all for about 25 minutes. We sat there waiting with empty plates and the hostess who was going back and forth to the podium whisked past us tons of times without a care. Eventually I asked her to please send our server so that we could have the check. She said she would. More time passed. Eventually a busser came by to gather the dishes and I also asked them to send the server. More time passes. We spent more time trying to get the check than we did ordering and eating, which was frustrating. Also, I do not mind dog friendly restaurants, and enjoying bringing my own pup along sometimes. But this place was different. They literally allowed people to have their dogs sitting up in chairs at the tables like humans! Another guest's dog quite literally had his FEET on the table. The food here was really good! Came for happy hour that started at 4 and got the two dishes they had that day as HH specials, as well as the tuna tartare. Everything was DELICIOUS but the portions (especially HH) were super small (like 4 bites small) which was a bummer, especially because it was so good! Both the indoor and outdoor areas are super pleasant and good for any size group. I will say, the service was terrible...my friend and I sat down, went to the bathroom and different times and looked over the whole menu before they even offered us water. We saw the waiter ask the two hostesses who were standing and not doing much if they could offer us water and we saw them give him a look. This is review of the hotel. We love both boutique and large hotels and when looking in Miami this place seemed to fit the bill. When we Checked in the woman was super nice. Got our keys right away and explained the hotel and the services. Our room was the deluxe king with partial ocean view. It was huge and nice. What we love about boutiques is the attention to detail and perks you get with service. This lacked here. No water. They charge you. I mean even one free bottle would have gone a long way. Our shower leaked. We read that in reviews but when we told the gentleman he said he would get us extra towels. None ever came. We had a few ants. Not a big deal. We told the same gentleman. Nothing done. The walls are paper thin. We could hear full conversations from our neighbors. The hotel setup with the beach is awesome. They give you a bag with towels. This is the stuff we love about boutique hotels. They have a setup with a company that works with other small hotels and has chairs and umbrella right there for you. This was awesome. The rooftop pool is small but we loved going up there and basically being alone in the middle of Miami Beach. Also the location is amazing. A block away from the noise. Overall some good and some bad. I wouldn't return if we come back due to the issues but overall it's a good hotel. read more

Visiting Miami and came here for lunch/brunch situation. Such a cute restaurant which is perfect for people watchers. We were a group of 10 and were seated comfortably indoors. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that made ordering so much more easier with their recommendations. It's located inside the hotel but you'd see the restaurant before the hotel in my opinion. There's a paid parking lot nearby with prices that vary from $30-$40. However, if you get lucky and find street parking do that! For drinks, 6 of us decided to split a bottle for the mimosas. I'd recommend lessening the amount of people who split it. 6 people gave us each one glass, and two people got like half a drink extra. I'd say maybe 2-3 would be a good number to split. So, I opted the order the Feeling Pine Today which was a nice refreshing drink. It had a little kick to it with the tajin on the rim but it was good nonetheless. Came in the cutest cup! Was stuck between ordering the lobster Benedict vs the lobster roll and ended up with the Benedict. It was your typical Benedict, nothing too crazy. Added hollandaise on top as well. If you like eggs Benedict's you'd like this. There was a nice amount of lobster too which I appreciated. I opted to get crispy fries instead of house potatoes and I'm glad I did! The fries were truly crispy and I found myself wishing there was more Overall, the ambiance and friendly atmosphere was perfect for a casual girls brunch or even a casual date! There were a few people eating outside, but we opted to eat inside and there was no one inside. My husband ordered the mahi sandwich, I got the tuna tartare tostones and a lemonade. While our party of two was seated at a four person wheelchair accessible table outside, an older couple, one of whom was in a wheelchair, politely asked how much longer we would be. I offered for them to sit across from us if they didn't mind as we certainly did not. It was hot and many of the tables didn't look like a great height for a wheelchair user to be included at the table. I moved a chair and the hostess came over to advise me that they could not allow us to share the (ample sized) table. This was off putting because no effort was seemingly made to accommodate the couple especially with the heat. The food was delicious - I had the key lime French toast with a side of Turkey bacon. I was concerned about the toast being too heavy but it was well balanced and I didn't feel overly full. Alice and I got to Miami a couple of days early for our cruise and this is where we ate as soon as we got over to South Beach. All-in-all, this is a very cute place. I would recommend you call for a reservation as there would have been a 20-30-minute wait on a Friday late morning, but they seated us right away at the bar, which was very comfortable and kind of fun, actually. The bartender was super friendly and very helpful. My wife ordered a drink and really wanted the "Wake me up", but they didn't have any Bailey's (how does that happen???), so she settled for the "I'm feeling pine today" based on the bartender's suggestion and she enjoyed it very much! ;-) Food-wise, I was waffling (no pun intended) between the huevos rancheros and the power bowl, and again, based on the bartender's suggestion I landed on the huevos rancheros. It was very good, but truthfully, I probably would have enjoyed the power bowl more (he didn't like quinoa and I really do). Alice ordered her usual Egg Whites & Veggies type dish and said she liked it just fine. I don't know if it was worth $19 but it is Miami Beach! The service here was outstanding from the greeting from our hostess, through our entire bar experience. Food is fantastic but super pricy. Lunch for 2 was over $100 no booze. The zucchini capacious was amazing. Light, lemony, buy not too much tang. Just enough yo make you wanting the next bit. The ahi tostones were also delicious. Piled high with ahi they don't skimp for sure. Lobster roll is sweet and not too creamy, but the truffle fries are by far the winner on the plate. Give me more of those please! And definitely get fresh juice. We had watermelon and cantaloupe juice. So refreshing. If you can, get a table outside, in the shade, and watch the world go by. This place is delicious we both loved it!! Great brunch spot and nice set up that feels homie and beachy with the couch seating. The food was amazing. They accommodated to me not liking poached eggs. I was still able to get the crab egg Benedict, but with over medium eggs. I LOVED my food, it was seasoned to perfection, I was able to add a side of a single pancake for $6, and the breakfast potatoes hit the spot. My only complaint, a little too many egg shells, but at least it was fresh! Huevos Rancheros was also ordered and my bf liked it a lot. I ordered the Youth Drink which is a must try! They have tons of healthy options. Location is great a few minutes from the beach and close to Nikki Beach. Service felt a little rushed, but she was nice and informative.
