    Iced coffee

The cutest little coffee truck. I got the iced vanilla latte and it was so smooth! They have a good selection of drinks and food, though I didn't try the food the pastries looked delicious!

Crema, cream in Spanish, is a local cafe located on Makawao's Kupaoa and Ohia Ku. What makes the place unique is that it's outside, in a retro trolley bus. Seeing that the place has limited hours on a daily basis, get there early. I figure this is a good place to go heavy on cafe drinks for seeing that I lost a hefty bet against one of my brothers regarding the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The bet details? Had the Knicks come back from the 3-1 hole, I'd get a Mr. Patrick Ewing jersey, but because the Pacers won 4-2, I need to get him a Tyrese Haliburton sweater and the price differential. Normally, I'll type the usual "Yes guys, the girls are cute" statement (I know you all are thinking "You just did!" now), but though that statement is true here, the opening statement I really want to type for paragraph 2 on my review of Crema is basically "Chickens"! Totally random, but let me explain. Chickens and roosters have been good luck charms regarding food places, and I believe pigeons may have joined in on the fun also according to 2 of my brothers. Places without chickens have been hit or miss spots. Really! From what I remember, with the mixed berry muffin, I had a decaf Americano, a Blue Moon drink, and one of their "Gochiusa" name quirk drinks in the Beatrice, a matcha ice latte with cookie crumbles and local strawberries. Kind of hard for me to get the balance of caffeine needed as I woke up at 2 in the morning to see the sunrise at Haleakala National Park, but I made the process work! I think. Anyway, the drinks are that good. The muffin's a good brunch to have. I believe the sister that did the driving and planning said that she likes the music and the incorporation of sourdough breakfast items like the English muffin, and I agree. I suppose I better list a flaw. I don't know. The place could use another food item with vegetables. Yes, I am aware that Clover has spoiled me so much, but this constructive statement is just that: constructive. Crema is a real clever spot. The girls will be as beloved as the "onee-chan"/"still young lady"/"forever 17 lady" of Clover (read or watch a series like "Love Hina" or "Angelic Layer" way early on along with knowing who Inoue Kikuko-san if you're wondering why I have these quirky words in quotation marks) some day. (My mom claims that she's forever 16.) I know this review has so many wacky words that make it as wacky as "Wacky Races" (I feel old for typing that series up), but the important part to remember about this review is go visit Crema. Thank me later. +/Crema is a cool cafe for its retro look, hospitality and good, good foods and drinks! -/Outside of having one more food item with vegetables, that's it.

Caramel Hazelnut Latte and vegan gluten free chocolate donut

Visited Crema today and ordered a 12 oz Caramel Hazelnut Latte, a 16 oz pour over coffee, and a vegan gluten free chocolate donut. Service was great, ladies inside were friendly and ordering was easy. I enjoy the use of a train car as a coffee car and the interior and exterior are clean, and offer a good atmosphere. Caramel Hazelnut Latte with oat milk was delicious, no notes. Pour over coffee seemed like maybe the machine is too hot and it's pulling a bit of a sour notes but still a better than an average coffee shop pour over. Chocolate donut was delicious!! Dense like a chocolate cake (which is what the employee described it as being) 10/10 get the donut. PROS: Quick service Vibey atmosphere Good drinks and coffee

Everything about this sweet little trolley is delightful. Let's start with the service and the people. Many thanks Grae and Nanea - who bring the bright energy and kindness to every customer. The vibe is warm and kind and the people visiting the cafe are lovely - what a feeling of community. Thank you so much for no charge on non-dairy milk. You are total winners. They also have vegan and gluten-free pastries. There's some other food available for those who want eggs or salmon. Sweet little plants, places to sit in the shade or the sun and just a nice place to pause and take beautiful Mother Maui. Sustainable off grid solar. Wohooo They even have a rewards program.

Frittata , lavender- butterfly pea powder latte

We had butterfly pea -lavender latter, a frittata, and Nutella cruffin. Everything was so good. Plus the coffee shop is soo cute.

Cute little coffee trolley. They have a few small wobbly tables outside for seating but it's pretty limited. On a regular day I think it's fine, but on weekends they have the farmer's market nearby and it can get pretty busy. The menu is listed outside the trolley, which I like. Then you go inside to order and wait for your drink. There was one person working all the stations when we went a few times so just be patient. Drinks were made with care and you can taste it. Sometimes you just want a good regular latte and that can be hard to find. Crema is great for regular drinks but they also offer their specialty drinks. I'm more of the regular latte and my friend prefers the specialty options. We ordered and tasted both and neither of us was disappointed. This was probably one of my favorite coffee spots in the area. The coffee is great, service is nice, and they have a few pastry options available as well.

Stopped by Crema on a Saturday when we visited the upcountry Farmers Market (amazing too). Probably the best mocha I've had. The breakfast sandwich was also delicious. Such a cute setting with a few tables under a shade sail. Staff was super friendly. Definitely returning!

Beautiful spot with nice view of the mountain. I tried the rose cacao latte and it was slightly floral and sweet, "recommend". Coffee beans are on the medium to light roast side . Enjoy the delicious waffles.

If you love delicious espresso, friendly service, and good vibes, this is the spot for you! Every time I decide to spoil myself with a morning beverage, I head to Crema. They always take care of me with a smile and beautiful care for their craft. The time and attention to detail in each beverage is not something you often see in today's "quick coffee" world. If you're seeking a well balanced and lovingly-poured coffee drink, you can't go wrong with Crema. (Their chai and matcha drink are amazing, too!) It's also a great place to find gifts for the coffee and tea drinkers in your life. So grateful to have this hangout in the neighborhood. Keep up the awesome work!

The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a steady flow of customers. If you're in Maui and love pastries, Momona is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Tell me you don't want me to be here without actually saying, "I don't want you here."…read more We've been coming to Grandmas for over 10 years, and it's always been one of those comfy, cozy places that just feels good. This visit felt really different. Today we brought family visiting from off-island after a walk on Thompson Road. We decided to stay and dine in instead of taking it to go. Looking back... maybe takeout would've been the better option. Ugh. I honestly hate writing this. The only reason I am is because I'm hoping someone from the Grandmas team reads this and actually cares enough to make some changes. If you don't know, you can't grow. Today our experience looked like this: * Watching several people get served after us even though we ordered first. Waiting for almost 30 minutes. * Our order getting mixed up and handed to the wrong person * Confusion about what muffins were available... okay fine, I'll take a blueberry muffin. Then halfway through eating it, I found a hair baked into it * Ordering potatoes without onions because of an allergy, having it made wrong twice, and needing it redone * Noticing the restaurant itself looked like it could use a deep cleaning, including ceiling fans with layers of dust And maybe this was just an off day, but the staff vibe felt... off too. Disconnected. Kind of cliquey. Like everyone seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving guests. The warm, welcoming feeling Grandmas always had just didn't feel like it was there today. As a customer, I honestly felt like I was intruding or inconveniencing the staff just by being there, and that's a really strange feeling in a place we've loved for so long. That's honestly the part that made me the most disappointed. We've loved Grandmas for years, which is why this was tough. After reading several other reviews, it seems others may have had similar experiences too. I really hope things improve and staff morale lifts, because as customers, we feel it. Mahalo for reading. I truly hope this helps and leads to positive changes.
