Had this place bookmarked for a while and finally got to try it. Man, am I disappointed. I came in for the almond croissant, because I have yet to find one that I like as much as my fave one in Vegas. While the croissant itself here was good, the almond paste filling was lacking and I wish there were more almonds on the crust. The Nutella suisse pastry was also good but the Nutella filling was sparse as well. The garlic croissant had a sweet filling?! The only pastry I enjoyed was the mango yogurt cream, because I love mango anything. Walking in, the interior was not very welcoming. It had an industrial building feel to it. There's just a few seating on the side but there's room to add more. The place does not make you want to stay and enjoy your coffee and pastry and perhaps that's the intention. Pastries could be displayed in a more eye appealing way. The staff was just there to box up your order, like a donut shop. Not rude but not friendly either. This place is just not for me.

Tried this place 3x. Overall, not worth the price/drive. If I had to, I WOULD recommend the mango, red bean, egg tart, and regular croissant. Their pastries are flakey on the outside only, often dry inside, yet no butter taste; they probably use margarine or mediocre butter? NOT fan of their: Nutella (dry), Ganache (dry), Beef Sausage (super salty). As a pastry lover, I'd much recommend D'Caramel in Southlake if you're gonna spend $4-6 each. Theirs are flakey and buttery (like they use premium real butter). Agree that their interior and service are meh. I'm usually fine if their food is worth it but they aren't.

I felt like a drug deal was going down as I said,"Get me two from the back." What was I referring to? Their almond croissants that had been completely sold out when I visited a day prior. I know it makes no sense that I was on my way to the gym, but let's just say this is cheat day worthy. The ambiance of this establishment would benefit from wide plank wood paneling flooring to give it that real Parisian vibe. Right now, it's just a concrete pick-up and go space. Seating is on the right side but sparse. The clerk is sweet and had sympathy when offering options or checking in the back for items I wanted to order. I love how they have a great balance of savory and sweet pastries. The portions are large. Almond croissant had a flaky crust and soft dense inside. There was some aftertaste from the scent in the bakery itself. It's not bad but I'm not sure if it's an extract they add to the pastry itself. This place works with limited quantities so when something is sold out....it's gone. I just think if they see a need for slightly more inventory they should bake more. I was here at 8:00am and the almond croissants weren't on the floor?! Clearly, patrons are dashing to get this daily. Thank you sweet employee who thought to fetch more from the back!

Wow - a new family fav for pastries... Met the owners and I was surprised and excited to hear this shop has been around for 5 years! Their baking and laminating skills to make croissants pastries are unrivaled! Nice early morning surprise for the wife and family! Well done, Cremcrittos!

Hands down this is officially my favorite place in all of DFW! My only regret is not visiting sooner because my life was not complete without these. I've had this place on my radar for quite some time. It's a had a Yelp bookmark on it for over a year but it's a 30-minute drive in a direction I rarely go. I'm hoping this stellar review gets to the owners so maybe they can open one of these...in my front yard???? Please!!! Cremcrittos specializes in all things buttery and flaky. They didn't know they were speaking my love language. I will pass up any cake, donut, cookie, dessert for a French pastry any day of the week. This place takes those pastries to a level you'd never dream. I tried the cream croissant, almond crossiant, kouign amann, strawberry cream, cookie craffle (I may have made that name up), and some kind of croissant filled with caramel. My favorites were the cream croissant followed by the strawberry and cream one, with the kouign amann, the cookie waffle thing coming in at a close third and fourth. The second visit (DO NOT JUDGE) less than a month later I got something new. It was a waffle croissant and the holes were filled with the most perfect gooey but so slightly chewy caramel. I wish I remembered the name. Dang was perfect... the best ever!! The caramel waffle is my official favorite. Thank you Cremcrittos for bringing me such joy. Don't ever stop making these good things and please, I beg you, please make sure that caramel waffle is available every single day!!

I've had this book marked at least 2 years so... Goodness Gracious as my dearly departed grandmother used to say...wow! I just sampled the cream filled crescent and it's heavenly. The Yelp reviews on this are definitely legit. I got here late,10:30am and they were 1/2 out of their offings. Although wat was left looked amazing. This is a definite.... Go!!

The last time I had a croissant this delicious was over 25 years ago in France. No doubt, every item in this bakery is made from scratch. The perfect croissant is made from yeasted dough, layered with butter, and has many folds that create that distinctive classic croissant. Light, airy, crisp, with a deeply caramelized buttery flavor. The owners certainly know what they are doing. If you've never tried one, you must start here. These croissants are a labor of love that's absolutely worth your time and money. I've tried nearly every single one, and I've narrowed my addiction down to two favorites: #1 Black Tea Cream Cruffin (looks like a cinnamon top hat -- delicious cream filling) $3.75 ea. and #2 Creamy Croissant $3.60 ea. Extra bonus: Join their rewards program!! Every time you make a purchase, you earn points. Those points go towards one free item of your choice. Local and family owned. It's my favorite type of business to support.

Absolutely fresh croissants and donuts! The dark chocolate croissant and milk chocolate both were absolutely delish. They are buttery crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I didn't get a chance to grab any coffee but now I'm tempted to go back just to get some more croissants.

Simply the best croissant bakery in dfw, always so crisp and fresh, expresso is full of flavor and not sour like most coffee shops, it's a privately owned and not a big chain, they just bake for the day and close when the croissants are sold just. We need more bakeries like this.

Hmm, what can I say except the pastries were good but didn't wow me? I actually really liked the honey ginger babka, it was really good at balancing its subtle honey and ginger flavors. Tried the cronuts and... I guess I don't love cronuts. My friend said he was disappointed the cronuts didn't have any filling, because apparently he had tried a cronut from the original cronut inventor and those were amazing and injected with filling. Well, I haven't had that, but that DOES sound amazing in comparison. Anyway. The other items we got, croissants and whatnot, were fine, just okay. Wasn't a fan of the apple fritter. Sausage kolache was yummy, but literally ANY sausage kolache is always fantastic by its very nature. read more

The food here is so good! Anything starting with a "cro" is a guaranteed win. Their pastries are flaky and crunchy on the outside but soft and airy on the inside. Be warned, they are very sweet! Even the earl grey and the garlic pastries were on the sweet side. As far as ambience goes, this is not a place to sit and relax with friends or do some work. This is very much a place to grab your pastries and go. But the craftsmanship is worth it. You can tell they put a lot of hours into perfecting these recipes. I would love to see a more savory item for them but regardless I WILL be back. read more

I am so excited that this place opened so close to my house! I stopped in this morning for the first time and picked up some pastries for breakfast. I ordered the Blueberry Almond danish, the Apple fritter, and the creamy danish. It all was amazing. The pastry is light, flaky and crispy and the fillings were not overly sweet. I will definitely be back to try more goodies soon. read more

Dang it - ate the Cronuts too quickly to remember to take a photo. By 930am on 12/24 he was sold out... thank goodness i got there at 830. Next time... yes, I'll drive to mckinney to eat these again. They were so perfect - ive eaten a lot of Cronuts in my life but in dfw these are the best. Congratulations Cremcrittos, I hope you guys stick around for a long time. PS - you need a separate person making coffee, and managing the cashier - the poor guy in the front was doing everything. read more

This was my first experience with Cremcrittos and the pastries did not disappoint. I tried a variety and each one was equally delicious. You won't find a more authentic, flaky and delicious pastry anywhere else. It makes the overpriced Starbucks pastries laughable. You won't push snooze on your alarm if this is your morning destination. read more

Worth the early morning 30 minutes travel for breakfast with my family . I think its a hidden gem for the surrounding neighborhood to have a specialty bakery nearby. At 8am, the flow of customers is constant but not overly crowded. Perhaps it was during their grand opening. The croissants and cronuts selections are flaky in quality like those that I have tasted at Paris. The chocolate brioche is not that sweet. The place is very spacious and clean. The staff is friendly. Not sure if they have child sits available. Will come back again. read more

I love a good bakery and so glad there was one that opened up so close by. Every time I visit there's not even a ghost in their store but some how manage to still have things sold out, which speaks a lot on how quickly they can handle customers. That said I highly recommend coming in early for the good stuff (like their croissants or cronuts). read more

It's an amazing bakery and gelato place! So far I only had a brownie cookie and two different gelatos and both are extremely delicious! The staff is always nice and welcoming and eager to help a customer to decide on what they want to get. It's definitely one of my favorite dessert places right now. read more

I am so excited I finally find a good pastry shop around Allen/ mckinney! Great quality, fresh baked goods made fresh every morning! I was there at 11:30am and a few items are already sold out! My fiancé and I wandered in to satiate our desire for gelato. The gelato is amazing, but the waffle-croissant perfectly balanced the lemon and cream, with the buttery croissant flavor. (I cannot remember the name, but run, don't walk for one.) If you see this place on Lakeforest, make sure to stop in and try what they have! You won't be disappointed! read more

Went in today for the first time with a craving for a croissant, without realizing that this place sells out fairly quickly. I did manage to buy the last plain croissant (there were no other types of croissants available) among some other pastries. It was all delicious but I can't imagine trying to go in any later to buy items. They seemed pretty sold out by 11 am on a Saturday. Definitely great quality products but you need to manage your schedule to get there early it seems to get what you want. read more

For the early birds: this place opens at 7 AM, not 6 AM as posted here on Yelp (as of Jan 2021). The cronut! It is so good. It is the perfect balance of flaky, light, and soft. The ginger honey danish was beautifully made and had a perfect texture. We also had the ham and cheese croissant, which was good but wouldn't get again. We also had the large sausage kolache which was good but not our favorite in the area. I would definitely come back for cronuts - I do think it's probably the best I've had in a long time. As this is a new business, I'm sure they are still working out the new business kinks including online presence (I hope they claim this page and update info so future customers don't get confused). Nevertheless, the important thing is what they have to offer, and I believe they do offer something special and high quality. I look forward to trying more. read more

Well I heard so much about this place and I've been trying to get my hands on some of this deliciousness but unfortunately when I got there in which I drove an hour just for them to tell me they are out of pastry. And won't have any until Tuesday. I was disappointed store was empty only selling drinks. And it was tough/ or even find the time to get out there and not to mention all the tolls I had to go through too. read more

This is SUCH a hidden gem! My husband and I have been driving by this place since it's near our son's daycare and love to repeat the name "Cremcrittos" because it's so catchy! We finally saw they were open this morning and decided to stop in and WOW! The pastries are BEAUTIFUL and the flavor profiles are unique enough to catch interest but not so unique that you don't want to try all the flavors. We purchased a caramel latte and vanilla latte and the pistachio creme croissant, beef sausage croissant, coconut croiaffle, creme brulee donut, and chocolate croissant. (We definitely could have had more but had to remember we can always come back to try the others). Each pastry was amazing; super light and flaky and the creme brulee donut is delicate - not overly fried - and just a great taste overall. After speaking with the owner and pastry chef, John, we learned that he is a trained chef and pastry chef and has trained in Chicago and Paris. (IT SHOWS!!!) The only other comments I have is the ambience itself could use a little facelift and decor and the coffee wasn't the best, but all in all, we are definitely going back for more as this was such a pleasant surprise! read more

Have great hours. Morning focused on croissants and cronuts. Later in the day you can still find choice of fresh Gelato and muffins and other pastries. Open late so you can get your fix. Most importantly everything tastes amazing. The muffins aren't heavy nor overly sweet, cinnamon roll had a great texture and perfectly sweet. I loveeee chocolate chip cookies and these made the cut for me - small chips in ever bite. A great cookie for dunking in milk. I went back the next day to try some other items. Croissants are light and airy. Cream croissant was to die for and almond cronut was phenomenal. The babka omg amazing. So happy I found this place just hope to not gain 20 lbs. read more

I had to try some and later found out the nice lady gave us extras. Probably because she saw my excitement. They were delicious! I also grabbed an old fashioned donut because they are my favorite. The cinnamon one was solid (there was only one chocolate one left, which is my ultimate favorite, but I let my brother have it because I'm a super nice sister). The bacon sausage roll was just okay to me. The croissant sausage roll was good. I've only been there once so I'm not sure if they usually have more unique offerings but definitely a solid donut shop in the area.

Was great I don't think my research for some of the best coffee in town was wrong coming here. Interior was much larger then I thought. From outside it seems like a small shop in Mckinney. Only street parking available and definitely didn't help with whatever event was in town when I came with half the streets shut down with detours but you will still be able to find parking somewhere near I enjoyed this place quite a bit and would definitely come back!

However,after my first drink of the perfect black coffee they served,I knew I was in the right place. Varied menu with all the usual suspects and well executed. My corned beef hash was excellent, as were my granddaughters breakfast tacos . Get this,it was all served up by a robot! The service is amazing, feels like I'm back in Buenos Aires, I appreciate the customer service, and always feel at home. Their attention to detail is impeccable. The ambiance is very fresh lively, rustic, and a true homage to Argentinian tradition. I never write reviews this long, but this will be a special case. Wow, my mind was blown when I visited Cremcrittos! I wish I could express my excitement with an emoji because that's how impressed I am. As someone who absolutely loves croissants, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this store focuses solely on crafting these delectable treats. There's something special about a place that dedicates itself to perfecting one thing. Not only were they open early, like most donut shops, but the quality of their offerings was elevated beyond my expectations. I indulged in a ham and cheese croissant, while my wife savored a sausage croissant. The presentation was top-notch, and the taste surpassed even that. I can confidently say I have found my new go-to spot for croissants. In addition to their fantastic croissants, Cremcrittos boasts an impeccably clean and upscale atmosphere. I had an amazing experience here when I first visited, and it left me eager to come back. Unfortunately, my last few visits have been a major letdown. I've tried coming right when they open, but each time, there have been at least four items from their menu that aren't ready. On one occasion, I waited 35 minutes for their Cream Croissant--our favorite--and when it finally came out, it was disappointingly stale, as though it was a day old. We ordered six, and they all had the same lackluster taste. Another issue is the inconsistency with their menu. While they occasionally switch up their offerings, there's no way to know in advance what will be available on any given day. And if you fall in love with something, don't expect to be able to order it ahead of time. I've asked if they could make a particular item for the weekend, and while they initially agreed, they changed their minds last minute. It's frustrating, especially when you're craving something you really enjoyed during a past visit. It's disappointing because this place started off so strong, but these repeated issues have made me hesitant to return. read more

If you're a croissant lover, you absolutely cannot miss this spot in McKinney! Hands down, they serve the best croissants I've ever had. From the flaky, buttery crunchy layers of the laminated croissant to the decadently rich chocolate croissant, every bite is perfection. The crème brûlée croissant is an absolute showstopper -- its glass like sugar top is a perfect balance to the filling that's unbelievably smooth. And if you're in the mood for something a little different, the caramel waffle is a must-try, with the right amount of thick, gooey caramel. The service here is awesome as well! They are so kind and courteous. It took me a while to decide with all the options and they gave me the best recommendations while also being patient while I decided. One thing to note: get there early! These delicious pastries tend to sell out quickly, so if you're not in line early, you might miss out. But trust me, it's worth the effort. If you're visiting McKinney, this place should be on your must-do list -- it's a true hidden gem that will make your day! read more

Every time I am in town this is my number one place I like to stop by. The best baked delicacies in town. It's family run and they make a limited supply every morning and run out quick. I highly recommend visiting near their opening time so that you can have the best to pick from! For the first night of Hanukkah my family was looking for the best place to make an order for a jewish baked good that is unanimous with the holiday (sufganiyot). We came in and asked if they'd be able to make a special order of 20 of them for us and they accepted and made our holiday that much more special. More so, I am a big fan of their Almond Croissants, Chocolate Cronuts, and more!!! You can't go wrong with their melon bread too!!! I would give this 10 stars if I could. Love this place! Im French & they taste good. I don't like the idea of wet donuts, so realize French pastries ARE actually dry & crunchy :/ I bought some for a gathering again & some 30 friends were blown away by the yummy quality... & asked for the name/location of this business. They sell out early, & obviously they will close when selling out, since this is not a big chain, all is made fresh at 4am. This is a family owned business & i will keep returning for the warm, goodness of pastries they offer... & the friendly crew. read more
