Eileen's "Sweets & Savories - cakes" is open Monday and Tuesday. Don't be fooled by the name this is no one trick pony desserts shop! Sure the sweets are amazing but the Savory lunch fare here is also fantastic and also includes locally sourced products from the Poulsbo Farmers Market and the same great local coffee. Today we had the roasted tomato and Brie on toast and the Salmon sandwich which is awesome! Fresh brewed coffee was medium but more flavorful than you will likely find almost anywhere else in Poulsbo. Take it from this local coffee fantastic. Be sure to try the desserts!

I admit it may be a dollar or two more expensive than some other restaurants but the quality is over the top. Fresh ingredients, made when you order, attention to seasoning, and recipes that are real winners. We had burgers, BLT, and a German sausage. All came with a nice size portion of a creamy pasta salad that was a great compliment to all of our sandwiches. The bread products they have help create a wonderful meal. Sandwich veggies were tasty and plentiful. For dessert we shared a couple slices of lemon raspberry layer cake.......oh my. The flavor and texture were amazing. As if the food wasn't enough the seating outside and in provides a relaxing atmosphere and the friendly staff rubs off on customers who are often found in conversation across tables. Space City Donuts has an incredible selection of flavors and options, it's genuinely hard to narrow it down to just a dozen each time we visit. Everything we've tried has been delicious, and there's always something a little different or interesting to choose from. The staff are also fantastic: friendly, welcoming, and QUICK. You can walk in, grab an amazing box of donuts, and get on with your day. What a concept! Obviously they're at their absolute best fresh the same day, but we've found they hold up surprisingly well for a couple of days too. Their customer service is inconsistent which keeps me away. Each time I go back I regret it. Today on my way to work I stopped. I pulled up and was car number two, NO other cars! The vehicle ahead of me was a flatbed type truck. I sat behind the truck for 3 minutes before the chit chat ended and the vehicle moved forward. As I pulled forward the barista went to her station and the cashier took my order. I pulled around and sat behind the truck as the barista and driver continued to chit chat. I watched as the driver was handed his drink, the truck did not drive off. It sat there as the barista made my coffee. Once it was done, the truck pulled away and there my drink sat on the counter. It was handed to me with no thank you or words said. What a way to start my workday! Unbelievable poor customer service! I'm done with Urban City!
