This location specifically is my favorite. (They have 1 downtown Poulsbo and another opening in Silverdale) It's the OG and everything about it whispers cozy coffee shop. A perfect place for a quiet date or a place to do some office work or meet with a friend. Even the outdoor seating is cozy. It's not a huge place so it's kind of forced into being cozy but they have used the space well. Even have a drive through. Though fair warning as this is the best coffee around that drive through line leaks onto the main rd and you may be better off just going inside. They also have such unique specials for espresso based drinks. I have never been led wrong by their flavor combos. The also sell single origin ethiopa coffee and canned cold brew, 2 things I am always on the hunt for.

Caffe Cocina "The Good, the bad, and the ugly"…read more Caffe Cocina is surprisingly busy, perhaps due the the Finn Hill Road drive through? I have very mixed feelings about this local Poulsbo, and soon to be Silverdale, establishment. The good: Caffe Cocina's food is arguably the best reason to visit one of their cafes. In particular, the chicken chorizo breakfast burritos are really delicious! The drink selection is extensive with some innovative twists on lattes and other coffee and tea based drinks. Unfortunately, I really judge a coffee shop on its ability to brew a really flavorful cup of black coffee - I will come back to that later in the review. The bad - The Finn Hill road location has mediocre to bad customer service depending on the day and the shift. Unless you are a charismatic individual under the age of 30, you are likely to be received with no shortage of attitude and general disdain...as if it is your pleasure to be ignored for as long as possible and then to have your order taken with the type of apathy that I would normally approach a Monday morning work conference call where you know you are going to have to listen to that one coworker that seems enamored with their ability to ask questions on points already sufficiently covered...I digress. The downtown location has much friendlier service, so head there if you do not require drive through services. The ugly - The coffee and coffee beans, probably tolerable if you are having an espresso-based drink, but I would shy away from the drip coffee and the beans for brewing coffee at home. The coffee is frankly over roasted, too oily, and decidedly one note for most of the beans that I have tried. I have sampled dark, medium, light roasts and single origins and have not tried anything worth recommending. Should this have been a 3 or a 4 star review? That depends on the location you are visiting and what you are visiting for. If you simply focus on the downtown location, I would by default increase this to a (4) star review due to the excellent customer service and the fact that they offer a pour over (unfortunately, the coffee is still mediocre). If you are visiting the Finn Hill location for anything other than the food, I stand by my (3) star review which is frankly generous given my experience most visits.

After waiting in the drive-thru, I was told everything was in the bag. Later, I realized one of the protein boxes was missing. Because that item had been meant for my preschooler's lunch, simply offering me the missing item later did not solve the problem. I returned to the store that evening and requested a refund for the item I paid for but never received. What should have been a simple customer service issue became unnecessarily difficult. I was initially told a receipt was required. Once I located the receipt, I still was not given the refund. The interaction escalated, police were called, and the situation became far more stressful than it ever should have been, especially with my children present. I understand employees deal with difficult situations, but this could have been resolved quickly by acknowledging the mistake and refunding the missing item. Instead, the matter was handled in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional. I am updating this because, at the heart of it, my concern was never complicated: I paid for an item I did not receive and expected reasonable customer service. Unfortunately, that is not what happened.

Excellent coffee…read more Amazing views. Fantastic staff. When in Poulsbo, stop by for a bit and enjoy a full bodied, local roast, a scone or other breakfast item, and the beautiful water view. Parking is in the public lot nearby. Seating is limited. All drinks are served in take-away cups. I would have preferred my 'dine-in' beverage in a mug, b ut it was still ezcellent. Definitely a good stop.

Want to try the pecan roll or any of the cookies next time I visit, those sounded promising as well. The Stumptown coffee was a dark relief as a foil for the rich pastries. This bakery is a GEM!

Sure the sweets are amazing but the Savory lunch fare here is also fantastic and also includes locally sourced products from the Poulsbo Farmers Market and the same great local coffee. Today we had the roasted tomato and Brie on toast and the Salmon sandwich which is awesome! Fresh brewed coffee was medium but more flavorful than you will likely find almost anywhere else in Poulsbo. Take it from this local coffee fantastic. Be sure to try the desserts!
