Breakfast as part of Palm stay, wouldn't bother. Rude service. Tables uncleanded door open with flies coming. Soggy breakfast sandwich Only option of coffee as part of breakfast, wanted a tea, to be told its extra. A tea bag costs pence . Bad move by The palm- been staying at the hotel for years multiple times a year. Will be considering other locations

A local favorite in Newbury Park, with an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I initially came here with the anticipation to order the shrimp pesto scramble. After reviewing the menu I went off script and chose the steak Benedict. My thought process was I haven't had red meat this month and also wanted to try dish I never order, here or anywhere. It was a very filling meal for sure. The steak was bountiful, cooked to order, and sliced to where it was easy to use cutlery for each bite. I did not need any additional condiments. Saw another patrons plate of steak chilaquiles that looked bomb. The owners are very friendly and attentive to their guest. The facilities are clean.

Eggs and steak with sweet potato fries

Came here for breakfast and it's a pretty open space. Looks like in the evenings they have live entertainment. The server was really friendly and nice. I ordered the two eggs and steak breakfast. I asked to substitute the potatoes with sweet potato fries and she happily did so. I ordered the steak medium rare with sourdough toast. The food came out pretty quick. The fries were crispy on the outside with a hint of salt and was really good. The sourdough was nice and I added butter to it. Now to the steak. The seasoning on the steak was really good but the steak itself came out well done. Not medium rare, not medium, but fully overly cooked. I didn't complain because the server was so nice. I would probably come back because everything else came out really good but maybe try something beside a steak since that doesn't seem to be their specialty.

Mikey's is the kind of local spot every town needs. Lisa and Mikey run it and they're incredibly friendly and welcoming. They host fun events like karaoke, comedy nights, and even magicians, which gives the place a really lively and unique atmosphere. I ordered the burger and it was massive. The patty was thick, perfectly seasoned, and had that delicious charbroiled flavor like something straight off a backyard grill. Great people, great vibe, and great food. I can't wait to come back and try their breakfast.

    Corned beef Benedict

I tried their corned beef Benedict with hash browns. The outer edges were crispy! When I cut through the poached eggs, it was yummy with yolk seeping into the corned beef and English muffins. I haven't had corned beef in years, and this hit the spot! Only reason why I dropped a star, is because the server mopped her area with cleaning agent while I was eating, and the smell bothered me, and kind of made me feel nauseous. She was a friendly server, but just thought cleaning should be done super early while no one is eating at brunch hour. It was toward the end of my meal and wanted to get out of there fast.

Mikey's is such an amazing local spot, and I'm always happy to support them whenever someone wants to grab breakfast! I brought my boyfriend here for the first time and he genuinely loved both the food and the service. the owner actually came by to talk to us, and she was such a delight. we ordered the ube pancakes and an omelette and both were delicious. I've been here several times before, and I really appreciate that they offer a good amount of gluten-free options. I've never been disappointed. the owner also told us about their karaoke nights on thursdays and fridays, as well as 21+ dancing on saturdays, which sounds so fun and is such a sweet way they try to bring the community together. It's truly a small, family-run business, and you can feel the care in everything they do. I highly recommend Mikey's. I actually prefer it over other breakfast/lunch places in the area, and I really hope more people give them a chance. they deserve way more love and attention!

The food looks great, the toasts are always gorgeous and delicious. The drinks were unfortunately, very disappointing. I got a large Kauai smoothie and it isn't bad, coconut water, pineapple, strawberry, and banana in a large (24oz) and it tastes like crunchy coconut water. But for $13 I feel like it could've been a lot better. A friend got the morning blend smoothie bowl ($16.50) and an iced London Fog (6) but also didn't like any of it in the end. Describing the London fog as the worst one in her entire life, and only ate the bananas on top of the smoothie bowl. I think personally it's on me that I didn't get one of their signatures, I am a BIG fan of almost every raspberry white mocha I had, but didn't end up getting them, will go next time! The pastries in the window looked so delicious too, but an almost $30 cafe visit is not in my budget as much as I hope it was. I love that they're so accommodating for different restrictions and life goals though, I have multiple friends who don't take seed oils, different milks, vegans, or gluten free and they have an option for literally everyone. I'm so glad they're here!

The restaurant has inside seating for 40 guests and outside for 30. We arrived between breakfast and lunchtime and were able to get the last outside table. The attentive staff got us seated right away, and after browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items (arrived in 15 minutes) : Marine: The buckwheat outer layer was soft, not soggy, and with nice resistance. The light creamy tomato-based dressing with sliced mushrooms was pleasantly flavorful. Both shrimp and scallops were of good size, fresh and juicy. Fromage: Like Marine Crepe, the buckwheat out layer was soft. The mild brie cheese provided pleasant creaminess to the filling. Seasoned bacon, scrambled egg, onion, and mushroom added nice savoriness to the dish. The portions were sensible and the prices were reasonable. Very nice culinary experience.

I've ordered their quiches and sandwiches to go before, and I've enjoyed each item I tried, especially the spinach goat cheese quiche and the caprese sandwich. I've been meaning to try their crepes for the longest time and luckily, I finally found the chance to dine in. I ordered the La Opera breakfast crepe, which came filled with eggs, cheese, onions, and avocado. It had the perfect balance of textures and flavors, with the thin crispy edged crepe cradling the savory filling. I loved how the richness of the eggs, cheese, onions, and avocado all complemented the delicate buttery taste of the crepe shell. All in all, Monsieur Crepe Cafe is a hidden gem and everything they make is fantastic. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. The prices here are much more affordable at roughly $12-17 for entrees and soup was like $6-8... I didn't request a receipt and now forgot.. it was very affordable though. Service was friendly and my son remembered the same gentleman serving us last year both times too. I had the spinach feta pepper crepes and french onion soup. My son had the breakfast burrito and Royal Crepe. He was disappointed it didn't come with ice cream this time as it did in the past.
