Went there for a coffee. Was very quick 5 minutes walking from Granada parking lot (75 minutes free parking) Coffee and service was good

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat. The food was delicious, however, my turkey melt had bacon and unfortunately I had to send it back as I cannot eat pork When we were in line we did over heard someone sending back their order because they found a worm Now, I'm always for giving second chances & this place seemed to have delicious food, however, it did feel a bad feeling about the food quality & their service when they are very busy Nonetheless the staff were kind & there were many seating options outside. The ambiance is inviting & busy!

What a beautiful start to our 7 days north of LA. We left downtown LA around 6 am and made it to Santa Barbara by 7:35 am. Did the spot on and current Yelp search for Vegan breakfasts and found Goodland Waffles and Melts. The terrific Tam( photo) welcomed us and helped us decide recommending the Vegan burrito plus the Chai Latte plus ginger. After the first bite my reaction was " Goodness Goodland"- what a beautiful blend of tofu, bell peppers, potatoes as I hummed the lyrics to the FYC song " Good Thing..in my life " song . The chai latte with ginger also hit the spot with the ginger helping and soothing the sore throat . Tasty too! We saw a busy morning with a few folks ordering the waffles and their amazing beverages. Love that this waffles and melt place shares space with a brewery. Love the vibe. Loved our food and hot beverages. Love that the street( State) here is blocked off to cars so one can just walk around and enjoy. Loved the wonderful Tam who made our day. Thank you.

    Lavender matcha

Different concept to have your menu around both savory and sweet waffles. It was ok but not worth the price point. The bacon on the complete breakfast waffle tasted like cardboard and the eggs were ok. The waffle was too chewy. The only thing that seemed "fresh" was the tomatoes and arugula. The service was slow when ordering despite not there being a line and did not seem busy. I did see that they have burritos available to go and their matcha was the only redeeming item worth going back for. I may go back for the beverages and maybe try something else but not my first choice for breakfast. I was excited for the concept but left underwhelmed.

    The Museum Steps Iced Coffee

I only came here for a coffee pick me up around 5pm. It's one of the few places that's still serving coffee in the late day. I got 'The Museum Steps' signature iced coffee and it was just standard coffee. I could taste the hints of lavender and vanilla, but nothing special. It wasn't really worth the price paid for it which was around $7. However, I liked my friend's drink much better. I forgot the name of what she got, but she got one of their Summer specialty coffee drinks and it was sweet and creamy. They have booth indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a bathroom in the courtyard they can provide the code to if you purchase something Overall, an okay experience here. The waffles do look good, so I would come back to try the waffles.

    Funky Monkey

Great place to eat breakfast. The outside tables in the front and back of the restaurant allow dogs. You do have to wait inside for your order, however so I recommend saving your spot or having another person save your space. The funky monkey was an interesting experience for a waffle. It had its sweet notes, but the chocolate pieces were more on the bitter end, giving the dish a more robust and varied flavor for a waffle. I only wish that the waffle was crunchier and not soggy.

With quick breakfast options , we love it here on weekends, they are open early on Farmer Market day ! Waffles are perfect , I like the ham and cheese croissant You order on the counter and pick up there, service is sharp and courteous Relaxed California ambiance, mix of locals and out of town crowd , it has a few tables on the front and back if you are dining with dogs. Plenty of public parking behind the building

Loved this place! Was looking for a nice place for a small breakfast plate while in Santa Barbara and came across this with their breakfast waffle. Complete meal with waffle (not heavy), eggs, arugula, tomato and your choice of bacon or sausage and I chose both! It had a yummy maple aftertaste and was not super heavy or pricey. The lady was so sweet and patient as I was ordering, so she def needs credit for her hard work! Outside, there is a pretty courtyard with a fountain, the buildings are pretty and even the restroom (after driving two hours and downing my coffee and water, much appreciated) with lots of stalls and bc they use a code - very clean! Love it!

Breakfast burrito with soyrizo cheese and egg. So good!
    Keely A.

This place has the nicest staff! Great location in downtown Santa Barbara with nice indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the classic waffle that came with lots of strawberries, whipped cream and the best part, REAL maple syrup. It was so delicious. My husband got their breakfast burrito with soyrizo which is a fabulous vegetarian option. He said it was yummy! I also ordered an iced caramel latte and it was perfect. Not too sweet but very flavorful. I highly recommend this spot!

Scrambled egg and chicken sausage. Chai latte and nutty latte.
    FudieLuver S.

Food was delicious. The chicken sausage has a great snap on casing and flavor was bursting. Waffles were crunchy warm goodness. A touch of cinnamon in them added a perfect sweetness to them. Chicken was like little nuggets of joy paired perfectly with the waffle. They do have a savory and spicy options on the chicken and waffles to mix it up. The nutty latte was a winner winner chicken dinner in perfect combination with sweetness but not too sweet. The chai tea latte was authentic in flavor you can taste the cardamom that gives a little kick. So yummy. Service was super friendly and fast. The location is perfectly situated on state street downtown area with plenty of seating in front and a back courtyard in the sun with some umbrellas. Overall great place to hang out for just a coffee and snack or a meal.

I forgot to take photos of my food haha I ordered the complete breakfast waffle and it was sooo good the waffle was to die for. I also ordered a chai latte. It was early in the morning so not many people were there but there is limited space both in and outside. Either way i recommend you come try this waffle place

To borrow a turn of phrase from our friend, DDM, this is the most explosive waffle in the game today. The Complete Breakfast Waffle is really good, but, IMHO, could use a tiny bit more spicy maple (there was barely a hint of it on there) and they need to put sausages on the plate instead of on top of the waffle since they quickly roll off the waffle onto the floor as you walk away from the counter (the staff quickly remedied the situation with a replacement sausage--evidence of their exceptional attention to service). Ordering and Barista service are top notch! Flavor was really really good. Pastries really good and there was a DJ out back throwing down a nice summer-vibes, airy, progressive/vocal house mix at the perfect volume level for the setting.

Excellent food, beverages, and service. Creative and inspired food options, maybe leaning a bit "hipster" but I'm kind of a sucker for that honestly. Will be back again!

Everything is high quality and fresh for reasonable prices. Charming, cozy decor with Danish accents. Service is also excellent and warm. Quiche with Hollandaise Sauce - Light, buttery flaky crust, light, fluffy eggs. Absolutely delightful, leeks provided good texture. Came with a strip of bacon. Was so amazing hardly ate the sauce. Don't think you can sub salad for fries but no worries, as the breakfast potatoes were amazing. Many places offer breakfast potatoes but something seemingly simple is actually hard to make well. My friend's Bratwurst Sausage with Eggs, her favorite, was hearty and filling. A lot of indoor seating but we enjoyed our table outside, watching pedestrians on State St. and enjoying the beautiful scenery and architecture. We expected to wait to be seated but surprisingly it wasn't that busy. Order at counter and the food is brought to your table. As we waited, employee kindly gave us two free pastry samples, both delicious. All the baked goods I got to go I want again. Their scones are fabulous-slightly crunchy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Their tea service which comes with champagne is pricey, I believe $75 per person. But interior is a perfect colorful and relaxed setting for tea. My tastebuds dream of coming back. Will be thrilled when I next indulge on their pastries and quiche.

There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.

Once seated, we started with the muffins, but unfortunately, that was the highlight of the breakfast. It was like the rest of the meal was just there to make the muffins look even better. The food had all the flavor of a cardboard box. The only thing that saved the day was the pancakes. We ordered the Q steak quesadilla, which was colder than my ex's heart, but we were hungry, so we just went for it. We also got some pancakes with eggs and ham, and the ham was so mediocre, it tasted like it had been living in the fridge since the dawn of time. The service was friendly and quick, which was a blessing because if I had to wait any longer, I might have started gnawing on the table. I wouldn't wait over 30 minutes to eat there. It's definitely not worth the wait, unless you're really, really hungry and have nothing better to do than stare at the menu.

I have to say, although there were two staff working on drinks, my latte took a while. Luckily, it came before the food. There was a staff member waiting at the counter and delivering just drinks. Once I got my latte, it tasted good. Strong. I felt the caffeine. The avocado toast was good, too. It was served in a shallow metal dish. Thick, high quality, Artisan bread. I enjoyed the toasted pumpkin seeds. I would definitely order it again, but open to ordering something else on the menu next time. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and efficient. There was another gentleman standing in the back, immediately clearing tables. It's better if you come earlier on the weekends. There was a line of people when I was leaving.
