    Mortadella sandwich

I love this spot, I used to go out of my way to come here and grab a sandwich and go to the park down the street when the weather was good. It's a little deli in an office complex and it seems like all their customers are people on their lunch breaks. Their prices were always great but I came here the other day and all their prices jumped up by several dollars over the course of what seems like a few months. The sandwiches are just as delicious as always but I think the prices are just a little too high for the size of sandwiches they are serving. The staff are always super friendly and service is very quick but I don't know if I will be back unless I'm in the area due to the price increase.

My work has ordered from here a few times and I finally got a chance to come by with my family. So good! This breakfast was loaded and kept me full until almost dinner time lol. It was full of meats like sausage, bacon, ham and then eggs and hash browns. They also serve it with a nice mild salsa that you can get inside or on the side for dipping. SO GOOD. I've also tried a breakfast bagel sandwich they serve that has chive cream cheese, tomato, and bacon. Also really good. Overall so satisfied and will be returning!

$15 hot pastrami on sour dough roll. Hardly any meat, slice of Swiss, 1 roll of bread. $15, maybe $2 worth of food here. Will never come back.

Food is ok for price I guess. Menu says $10.95 + tax obviously, but was charged $12 and tax was added on top of that even after I asked. Ambiance is cool and old school and they obviously seem to keep it clean. Just don't think a sandwich with that little meat should be $12. Maybe better off going to subway?

The place is very clean and homey. Old school vibes but the prices are amazing. The service is friendly and inviting! The food is great for the price you pay!

This is your hole in the wall American restaurant. You never hear hole in the wall with the word American in it but this is it! It's located in your typical business building. They had a special, had to try it. Was not disappointed! It was a Korean burger with some nuts! The nuts definitely took the cake. Got some soup, it was OK. Was tempted to get more fried stuff like fries! Portion looked big! You'll definitely see a bunch of tech and construction workers eating here. Rarely see families hut would be great for them!

The staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking in front and behind the cafe. It was well decorated, with big windows, an open-air bar, and cafe merchandise for sale. There was also a bulletin board advertising other businesses, a bathroom, and wifi options. It was a bit warmer this day, but there was a big fan in the front providing some air to the space. There was also a free or paid wifi option depending on the bandwidth one would need. I ordered the iced chai latte with caramel syrup and almond milk, which was a bit pricey for nearly $10. However, I will say it was delicious and made quickly. Probably the coolest thing here though was the co-working space. The front of the cafe had plenty of seating for people to talk or work. There was a hallway leading to the back room that had larger tables for bigger groups, implying more of a co-working or quieter space. Definitely appealing for people wanting a third space - will be back!

Vietnamese coffee, in my opinion, should be strong, bold, and sweet, and I was pleasantly surprised…read morethat 85° Bakery delivered exactly that. While we were there, we spoke with another customer who also ordered the Vietnamese coffee. She asked for 125% sugar because she found the "regular" sweetness to be too bitter, but I have to disagree. I ordered mine at the regular sweetness level, and it was already plenty sweet with definitely no extra sugar needed in my opinion. In fact, it might even be borderline too sweet for some people, but since I enjoy sweeter drinks, it worked perfectly for me. One thing to note is that you cannot adjust the ice level for this drink. I did not understand why at first, but it makes sense now because even after the ice melts, the coffee remains strong and the flavor stays rich and sweet. Overall, it is a solid and well balanced coffee. That said, I still really enjoy 85° Bakery's sea salt coffee drinks as well. I'm happy that I've found another coffee option that I enjoy from this bakery.

What Happened to the Choco Bun?…read more Plenty of free parking. When you walk in, grab a tray and window shop all the pastries. They individually wrap these so grab what you want and place it on your tray. Once you're finished, cruise up to the counter. Would I Come Back? Yes, I keep coming back. I use to come back for the Choco Bun, but if they've changed the recipe at all locations, I'll only be coming back for the Milk Bun and Nougat. Their Signature Item: Egg tarts are their signature item. If you've ever been to an Asian party, someone almost always brings a box of egg tarts from 85-Degrees. But on today's visit. Well, just look at the photo. Someone stepped away from the oven for about 6 minutes too long. Choco Bun ($2.55, Grade D): The Choco Bun has been my absolute go-to for years--the closest location to me is usually the South Sacramento store and I tell everyone they have to get it whenever they visit an 85°C. Unfortunately, it's been about 8 months since my last trip, and the Choco Bun is no longer something to write home about. Milk Bun ($2.05, Grade A+): If you've ever had their Milk Bun with the custard filling, the Choco Bun used to be very similar in texture. Now, it's flat with super dry edges. Not good at all. Luckily, I also bought a Milk Bun (my usual second favorite), and by default, it's now my number one because the Choco Bun was a complete bust. It's so fluffy and sweet. Melts in your mouth. Strawberry Banana Smoothie / no boba ($5.85, Grade F): It was incredibly artificial-tasting--nothing real about it. I only made it through a quarter of it before throwing the rest into the garbage. My fault for hoping for a "just picked" fresh fruit taste, but this was honestly one of the worst smoothies I've ever had. Nougat ($9.60, Grade A+): The bagged Nougat candy is fantastic. It's soft, gooey, and packed with what I'm guessing are pieces of pistachio. Delicious, but a fair warning if you have dental issues: these will wreak havoc on your teeth. It's not quite as sticky as a Starburst, but it could definitely pull out a denture! Bottom Line: The staff here is friendly, and there are still a few standout 5-star items that make a visit worth it (the Milk Bun and the Nougat). However, the disappointing recipe change to the Choco Bun and the absolute miss on the smoothie knock this down to a 3-star experience overall.

I actually did not mind that at all. Needless to say, the lavender flavor really came through, lol. The consistency was great, just like their other soft serve, very smooth and creamy. I just was not sure if the floral flavor paired well with the red bean filling I chose for the inside of my fish-shaped cone. We also ordered their matcha soft serve, which used to be my favorite, but the matcha flavor yesterday did not seem as strong as I remembered. Other than that, my experience was really great. The store was nice and clean, and even though we had a party of six, we were able to get the largest table, which was perfect. It was also very well air conditioned, which felt amazing given the unusually hot weather we have been having in Concord in the middle of March. I would definitely love to come back again soon and order their ube flavor, which is my favorite.

To start, the employee working at the cash register was super friendly and gave great suggestions on drinks and food to order based on how sweet we like things or more coffee for we may want things to be. There isn't really any indoor seating space but they did build out into the parking lot with a few picnic tables and chairs for people to stay and eat their food. While we both really enjoyed the food - both of which were recommended by the employee - the coffee was not good at all. Pro: the avocado toast that we ordered had a curried chickpea salad on top and it had a delicious flavor. That was probably my favorite bite! We also shared half order of the blueberry waffle, and it had a type of granola on top that provided some really great textures. The food certainly impressed me. Con: Both of us felt like the coffee had none of the flavor that it was supposed to have (we both ordered the cardamom maple iced latte with macadamia nut milk) and instead, it just tasted like milk. It didn't even really have a coffee forward flavor. Since this is a coffee shop that was a pretty big disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service, but would skip the coffee.

He ended up ordering an iced turkish coffee with milk. It was hot outside, so I went in to grab some water. Their water container was not only basically empty, but it was also warm. Gross. I decided I would rather pay for a cup of iced water (because in a lot of the places I've been to, they charge for it). I go up to the register and ask if I can buy a plastic cup with iced water. The cashier/pastry cook/barista says, "Water?" and I repeat that I want a cup with iced water. She says, "Ice?" and I say, yes please. She goes right next to where the other barista is and she grab a scoop full of ice and gestures it to me. I'm kind of confused by this point, and it seems like the other barista is too. And then I ask again if I can get it in a plastic cup. Then the other barista points to one of the paper cups next to the warm water container, but then I ask them again if I could please get it in one of the cups they have, (because I wanted to be able to carry it around with a lid). That's when the other barista says, "You're doing too much, but okay." And she passes me the plastic cup, without a lid, acting as if I just asked her for her whole paycheck and half the drinks on the menu. I'm definitely annoyed at this point, but I don't care enough to be rude back. Then she says she's going to fill up the container. So she goes, gets the container to fill it up, and I'm there waiting with my friend in the store. It looks like she's the only barista there, so it keeps taking a little longer for the drink(s) to come out. When she finally comes back with a semi-filled container, I'm conversing with my friend, when she turns sharply and says, "Were you going to order anything??" in a pretty snappy tone, as if I'm only worth giving a plastic cup to if I'm going to order more. We reply that we already ordered, and she goes back to finish drinks that a previous customer had ordered. It's two drinks, and I assume that it took about 12-15 minutes for them to receive what looked like small hot drinks. I say this because these customers were sitting there well before my friend and I arrived, took time to order, and then were waiting for our drinks. After that, we're still waiting while she goes to take orders, and that's when the cashier/pastry cook/barista woman finishes my friends drink... after having stood there FOREVER while the other barista was going in circles. I was shocked to say the least, kind of amused, but also disappointed because these customers drink was about 8-9 bucks, the wait time was about 8-10 minutes, and the drink was disgusting. Actually insane. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Place looks mid, service was abominable, and the workers look like they hate each other and anyone who asks for a plastic cup with iced water. Do better, and preferably give us back our money for the nasty drink+attitude combo.
