    BLT crepe was delicious
    Gary J.

Crepes Palace is a gem of a place. If you like eating fresh food with flavor, you will want to visit the Crepes Palace. Every plate is packed with flavorful, colorful food with an international inspiration. We enjoyed every dish we ordered. Nothing was left on our plates. The best part about our visit was not feeling as though we stuffed our self with junk. The crepes are absolutely delicious and melt in your mouth good. I also recommend the BLT crepe with a side of eggs and plantains!! The menu is online and provides a picture of each dish. This was a nice touch. This restaurant has the best staff. They are loving and attentive. The owner really loves sharing her love of food with customers and is a welcoming presence. Love love love the Crepe Palace!

Ms. Paula is amazing. Her story is inspiring and you can tell she's passionate about being of service to others through food; it tastes like it. We came for dinner. The interior was much more classy than I expected. I ordered the chicken salad crepe and was impressed as I'm not a huge crepe fan. We were provided a complimentary glass of wine!! I can't wait to try additional menu options and attend their weekend brunch and jazz events!

I have mixed emotions about this establishment. I've heard great things about it, but today was a flop. We made reservations and arrived a few minutes before. We waited a little while to be seated and that was okay because we were not in a rush. Once seated, we did not receive any water and after a little while one of the workers asked if we had been offered anything to drink and kindly had the person that seated us bring us some water. We were ready to order, but she asked for us to wait a minute. We waited about 10 minutes and motioned for her and she again put up her finger. When she finally came over we both stated we wanted the brunch buffet and she was like that was a good decision because they're running behind. The buffet was not fully stocked and the server there informed us that they would be bringing more stuff out soon. We got a few things and sat down to eat and realized we didn't have any silverware. My son went up to the counter and asked for some silverware and was told that some would be brought out. We waited a full 5 minutes before going back to ask again and finally received something to eat with. The food was not good. It was so bland. The eggs were slightly underdone, the salmon was dry, and the grits along with everything mentioned did not have any seasoning. It was bland. We went back up to get some crepes since this is what they are named for and they still were not available. We started hearing other parties complaining a bit because they had not received their food and had been waiting as well. We observe people commenting to the staff about needing something that wasn't giving to them or not receiving their food or yada yada yada. This was not turning out well for anyone. We decided to sit a bit until we saw the buffet getting stocked again and again no crepes. This time they had shrimp scampi which we got along with some shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits alone was bland. I stirred in the sauce from the scampi into it and this added some seasoning to the grits. The manager or owner, who was our server, asked how things were going and we said that we were ready to receive the dessert which was a fruit custard because we were not able to get the crepes and she stated that she will give us a discount. I told my son I wouldn't believe it until I saw it and nevertheless the discount did not happen. I felt sorry for everyone there because you could tell they were trying to hold it all together and keep a smile on their face. There was only one person working in the kitchen which is too much to put on anyone. I'm giving them a 2.5, but can only rate with 2 stars. If the food was better, I would have given three stars.

You HAVE to come here at least once. Healthy portions of veggies, which is rare. Clean, nice decor and wonderful owners. Come meet them yourselves. You won't be disappointed that you did. The food was delicious, not too spicy or salty. The oxtails fell off the bone and my Snapper was also cooked to perfection. They have special events, brunch and cater. Easy to check out. I am excited to try the brunch, wings, and dessert.

Food - DELICIOUS Service - Wonderful!!! Ambiance - Homey and welcoming Overall, the host Ms. Paula and the chef take you to the Caribbean with their hospitality and traditional cooking. I'm Guyanese and I know Caribbean food when I taste it. Mark my words this is a place to visit numerous times. I'm contemplating moving nearby because it's that great!

This is a new Black Owned restaurant. They specialize in Crepe themed breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits Crepe with a side of Bacon. It was so good the crepe was stuffed with shrimp and grits and came with shrimp outside and I ordered the extra side of bacon. It was yummy next time I think I would add cheese to the grits. They have an indoor and outdoor space. Check them out. You can follow me on all my food adventures on Instagram @sipbiteandtasteit

Nice atmosphere very warm, the food is excellent. I had the Jerk Chicken with Crepes and Plantains. We went on a Saturday and they had jazz by Abe White, that was so nice, the service was good. There is dinning in or outside. A must try.

Unassuming little bistro in the middle of a bunch of office buildings but don't let that fool you. Service is quick, the owner greeted us right away, was helpful and just so sweet. The jerk chicken is served on top of a plain crepe with fried plantains perfectly seasoned and spiced which was thoroughly enjoyed by a teenager. She-crab soup is fantastic, creamy and with large chunks of crab served with a plain crepe. Tthis is definitely the best version of this soup I've ever had. Mushroom avocado crepe was demolished by my husband before I could even ask how it was so that's a really good sign. Highly recommend you check out this spot, look through their menu and you won't be disappointed.

Ok. This was really lovely. The crepe was light and airy and paper thin--perfect. Stuffed with cheesy eggs--again, fluffy and perfectly cooked with a mountain of bacon on top. Don't sleep on the chili boat with salsa! It adds the perfect amount of spice. I may miss the old Hello Deli a little, but I must say I'm VERY pleased with the upgrade. North Charleston deserves more restaurants of this caliber and I'll happily come to this one again. PS Don't be surprised if you see a familiar face when you stop in...

Came here for a group function with Mom. This is definitely a hidden jewel! The food is outstanding - full of flavor! The Hostess Paula was excellent. She made everyone feel welcome! And hats off to the Chef! I will definitely be returning!

I apologize in advance for the long-winded review, but I can't help myself. I am not usually one to take the time to review something, but I have to this time. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of trying out Crepes Palace. It is a new restaurant that he had been wanting to try out ever since it opened, so I surprised him on our anniversary. Every aspect of the experience left me utterly impressed! The food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was honestly a masterpiece that showcased the immense talent of the chef, along with his homemade mouth-watering sweet tea! Every bite was so full of flavor, but never overdone. It was honestly perfection! We started with the She Crab soup and also tried the "Silver Dollar" appetizer, which was honestly the best stuffed mushrooms I have ever had. The soup was delicious, but whatever those mushrooms were stuffed with was unbelievably good! For our entrees, I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the jerk chicken. WOW! Just WOW! Then, to top it all off, we had "Sex in a Pan" for dessert. When you take the first bite, the sounds you will make will have you completely understanding why it is called that. We got to talk with the chef for a few minutes and it was instantly obvious just how much he cares. It's really rare to encounter a chef with such a deep understanding of ingredients and an ability to craft them into dishes that are not only visually stunning but also incredibly yummy! We learned that he only uses unshelled pecans and takes the time to crack each of them open himself because he wants to make sure that he knows exactly what it going in every dish he creates. When we were thanking him for all the amazing food, he was so humble and appreciative of our compliments. BUT, the excellence of this place didn't stop at the food! The owner's genuine care for her guests was palpable throughout the entire experience. Ms. Paula made sure that we felt valued and appreciated. Her passion for her new restaurant was evident in the meticulous attention to detail, from the inviting and very clean environment to the attentive service and beyond. You can immediately tell that she takes a lot of pride in what she does. You can always tell when someone is just showing up for work and doing just what they have to do until it's time to go home versus someone that truly loves what they are doing. I know the place is new, but I have a strong feeling that Crepes Palace is going to become a household name. If we ever won the lottery, we said that we would invest in it for sure. In a world where dining experiences can often feel rushed and impersonal, this restaurant stands out as a true gem. It's a place where food is elevated to an art form, where a gifted chef pours his heart and soul into each dish, and where an owner's dedication creates an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. My husband and I hadn't had a date out since before Covid. I am so glad that this was what we chose as our first. Only problem is that now we are spoiled and it will be hard to top this for our next date night. I wholeheartedly recommend Crepes Palace to anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary journey. We are already making plans to return next week with some family members so they can experience it too. Thank you Crepes Palace for making our anniversary one that we will never forget!!!

And the woman at the counter (she was in the kitchen and ran food, greeted guests as they pick up their food, possibly a chef) was EXTREMELY nice and outgoing. The parking lot was packed, and most tables were already taken when we walked in, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and then grab a seat while they bring the food out to you. The menu is extensive, with plenty of dishes built around grits (as the name suggests). I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions. The waitstaff seemed super busy but stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside for me was having to bus your own table at the end. Prices for lunch felt a little high at first glance, but when you consider the huge portions, they're pretty reasonable. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

The first time we sat outside in their newly renovated outdoor patio, which was so nice and beautiful. Our server greeted us with some sweetened espresso and cinnamon, which was a nice treat. The empanadas here are insane and you must get this. This was probably the best empanada I've had at a restaurant. The second time we returned, we dined inside. The service was a bit slower this time and it took longer for us to get our food. We ordered some of their specialty coffees, which came in these cute mugs and glasses. This time we tried their Arepas de plantano that came with cheese and a mole sauce. This was also very good, especially with the sauce. We ordered the giant huevos rancheros platter to share and it truly did take up almost the entire table lol. They put all the toppings in separate dishes so you could build your own essentially. This was a lot of food and we had plenty leftover. This could've fed 4-5 people! The only disappointing thing about this was that we didn't get any steak as shown on the menu and just chicken. When we mentioned it the server who was very nice but didn't speak much English said she told us but I was completely unaware. Everything still tasted good but we did wish there was some steak along with the chicken. The French toast dish was decadent and sweet, but the bread itself was moist and crispy on the edges. There was a small discrepancy at the end with our bill because the price of the platter didn't match what was on the receipt. They were unable to adjust it but gave us a gift card for the balance. Overall we still had a good time and would definitely come back. It was much more of a unique brunch experience that I've had in Charleston so far.

The restaurant was packed, and we waited about 20 minutes just to be seated. Once we sat down, we ordered right away, expecting the kitchen to already be busy. However, we ended up waiting an entire hour for our food. About halfway through, we asked our server how much longer it would be, and the response was simply that there was "no telling" because they were very busy. While we understand restaurants can get busy, waiting an hour after ordering with no meaningful update is unacceptable. By the time our food finally arrived, we no longer had time to enjoy it. We had somewhere else to be and had to rush through our meal. Because of the long wait and frustration, I honestly can't say whether the food was amazing or not, it was overshadowed by the experience. The service itself was okay, and the atmosphere was okay, but neither made up for the excessive wait. We also overheard the table next to us, a party of two, talking about how they had already been waiting 40 minutes for their food, so it was clear we weren't the only customers frustrated by the delays. For a first visit, this was a very poor impression. We understand that busy restaurants can have longer wait times, but better communication and more realistic expectations would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that it will most likely be our first and last visit.

The best thing I had was the special, stir fried udon noodles with the steak. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the chili spice on it was amazing and it wasn't overly sauced. The steak that accompanied it was also delicious. The tomato cucumber salad was fresh, but could've used a little more salt in my opinion. The bao bun and tacos were also nice and great portions. I would say for me I didn't love the pad Thai in comparison to the many that I've had before, because it was a bit different in flavor profiles than what I'm used to. I wanted a little bit more of the fish sauce and tamarin flavor. You have to get their milkshakes, I'm sure all of them are great. But the one we have was absolutely decadent and delicious!
