He was supposed to cap the chimney however he said he was unable to complete the job and gave me my refund. It was a very strange interaction. within 24 hours, there were maggots crawling out of my fireplace. Needless to say he would not respond to any of my phone calls regarding that issue. I had to call out a company ASAP because I soon found out there was a dead raccoon in my chimney.. Do not call this company to do work. Save yourself the headache and a lot of your personal time.

UPDATE: (in response to their Google review reply) to clarify, this was not after hour, this was…read moreduring broad daylight, I was not informed on the reason why he quoted $400 during the call, and your website clearly says serving Pittsburgh region, how does it make it a 3 hour drive when I'm in fact in Pittsburgh, please don't make things up just to try to charge people ridiculous amounts of money. Looking at the owner response, calling people names is a sign that this owner has zero regard for customers. In the age of reviews and transparency, whoever reading through this, please for the love of god, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE, just look at their other response, you'll be glad to not have to talk to this owner, period. ---------------------------------------- Worst experience, called to inquire about what to do after finding bat in the house and possibly using their service. Already had the bat trapped under the recycle bin, was told on the phone to just slide something under and throw it out, which was impossible since the bat was in my cat's water tower. I asked if they can send someone, but was told it's going to take 3+ hours and it'll be $400, ridiculous. I then proceed to contact Allegheny Health Department, who told me to NEVER EVER THROW A BAT OUT if found in the house, they (AHD) then came to pickup the bat and sent it for rabies lab testing within an hour, FREE OF CHARGE. Then got a call from Allegheny Health Department 2 days later telling me that the bat was tested positive for rabies and I had to take the series of rabies vaccines. Lesson learned, Steel City Pest Control & Wildlife Removal seems to have no idea what NOT TO DO with bats, gives out bad recommendations, and charge an exorbitant amount of money just to "throw the bat out". Makes me wonder if I would've cause other people sick if I just did what they told me or got them to come and throw it out. Will obviously never contact them or use their service.
