I have been living in the Eugene area for almost a decade and I JUST NOW finally made the trip down to visit the highly rated Creswell Bakery. Having never been to the Creswell location, I was still very familiar with the bakery due to them being frequent vendors at the Lane County Farmers Market. PRO: The food is pretty excellent! I ordered a chocolate croissant and a veggie brioche sandwich for myself. The Hubbs got one of their bacon, egg, and cheddar pockets. The croissant was literal perfection. My husband LOVED the pocket. I did enjoy my veggie brioche except for on this day the 'seasonal vegetables' were all onions, which aren't my fav. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had issues with one of our orders (mentioned below) and they were very good at keeping me updated on the process of the order. The atmosphere is so cute! There isn't any indoor seating, all outdoors. One a lovely warm Spring or Summer morning, this would be a great spot to hang out at. On this particular morning, it was a bit chilly so we had breakfast in our car. CONS: Very limited coffee selection. You got the one and that's it. We ordered a pick up for soda bread. When I did the online order it said for me to be at the bakery right at 9AM for pick up. I was there right at 9 but the soda bread wasn't ready. Ended up having to wait 45 minutes for it. Which was still worth it because the soda bread was AWESOME. Overall this is a very cute bakery that makes incredible offerings. Will I make the special trip to Creswell again to visit? Probably not. Will I continue to arrive at Saturday's Farmers Market early to get a coveted early spot before the line forms? Absolutely! read more

Awesome bakery south of Eugene in Cresswell. Although it is a little place, it had a huge selection of goodies. So hard to choose, so we got a bunch of treats. We have sampled the peanut butter chocolate chip and Butterscotch Hazelnut cookies so far. So big and moist with the perfect crunch on the edges. We kept saying - "these are so good" while moaning with delight. Can't wait to try the cinnamon roll and hazelnut nut brownie tonight. I even got a gingerbread muffin for breakfast. Every time I come here I'm already thinking about the next time I can go back! They have an amazing selection of sweet and savory pastries as well as a whole breakfast and lunch menu. The cinnamon rolls are ginormous!! And delicious. I love anything lemon poppyseed and they have a great muffin. The glaze is just sweet enough and the cake is not dry at all. I have also heard their cardamon and brioche buns are popular. Coffee is great too! Not bitter and has kind of a toasted flavor. Everything reasonably priced for how high quality and fresh it is. The only con is there is no indoor seating but they do have a lot of picnic tables outside for when the weathers nice. I would highly recommend coming here if you haven't yet. read more

MUST GET A BUTTERHORN!! Decided to try this place out one weekend morning. They were not open for long and seemed like there was already a run on the pastries. Still, every option was available, it was just a good sign to see. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I ordered a cinnamon roll, snickerdoodle cookie and by recommendation a butterhorn. The butterhorn did not disappoint. The butterhorn is unique and I would eat it over and over again. The cinnamon roll had a lot of frosting so I ended up putting some on the butterhorn. The snickerdoodle was good. I wish I would have gotten my cinnamon roll heated up as it would've been so much better. Overall, give this bakery a try and get a butterhorn. read more

'Just okay' food to-go @ Creswell Bakery in Creswell, OR. Outside storefront looked dreary, needed some winter cheer, and a good pressure washing. The inside seemed warm and inviting. Food looked delicious, but on the drier side. I wasn't surprised, they had a lot of everything and probably had them made this past weekend for the week. We used to stop here all the time for homemade bread and breakfast sandwiches, but then took a hiatus because of the lack of good customer service. This time I walked in and placed an order to go. Staff wasn't friendly, just wanted to know what I wanted. I honestly expected nothing more. Would I come back? Probably not, unless I was desperate. I would have liked to continue to support this local business, but they don't seem too bothered by their lack of hospitality, which makes me not bother. read more

Woah!!! I'm so happy. Husband and I drove from CA to Newberg for wine business. We are on are way back home and I was starving. I'll be honest I was very hangry. We missed lunchtime I only had some snacks in the car and by the time 4 pm hit, I was in dire need of some good food. He found this billboard that said Creswell Bakery and said it looked good. I was in the mood for a sandwich and lo and behold they make sandwiches. I looked them up on Yelp and found the menu and pictures and was sold. They have a super easy online ordering system. When you go inside "pick up" is on the right side. The staff was super friendly. The order was made VERY quickly. I was so impressed. I'm so looking forward to coming back here on our next trip. We've been back a dozen times, as we plan road trips around Creswell Bakery!! So darn good-- EVERYTHING!! Our favorites include the meat pies, orange coconut rolls, ginger molasses cookies, all of the savory scones, and the frozen meat pies so that I can still enjoy them before our next road trip back here! Pro tip: They will kindly slice your sourdough loaf which makes for easy access when freezing! So get an extra loaf!! read more

I'm grateful for the billboards that eventually led me here. I prefer to have tried this bakery than not. Sadly, it's not all up to the hype. I stopped by on one of my driving sprees to MFR for work. Scanning the menu, I figured the hand pies would meet my savory cravings best. I paid about $70 for 8 of them, 4 chicken and 4 beef frozen, which is surprising for a small-town bakery. I heated them at 350 as directed in my toaster oven for about 40 minutes. Of the two, the chicken is definitely the better one but neither were particularly memorable. My BF ate the chicken one but didn't like the beef one enough that he only got a couple bites in before he said, "I don't like this" and set it aside. Perhaps it's just a matter of not choosing their best, but I'm not sure when I'll be back to try. *Update* Had a chance to return to try some more pastries: a cinnamon roll, hazelnut sticky bun, 2 cardamon buns and a ham and cheese scone. I wanted a ham and cheese croissant, but their online ordering wasn't in sync with actual inventory, so they generously gave me 2 of the ham and cheese scones for no extra charge. Unfortunately, the scones were very salty yet too sweet for my palate. Would have been better with a little more cheddar or parmesan and a lot less sugar and salt. The ham bits gave it a weird mouth feel as well. Texture was too cake-like and not what I came to expect from eating many scones in the US and UK. I had to freeze the rest. The cinnamon bun was okay reheated in a toaster oven. Way too much frosting, but well flavored. I already tried one of their cardamom buns on the first visit which are so far the best they offer. read more

Always worth the stop. Delicious in house baked bread and pastries in a variety of types and tastes: savory and sweet. We love the turkey on whole grain bread and the pre made ready to go sandwiches are easy to pick up. If you have a specific combo in mind just go to the counter and it will be made to order. We usually grab some pastry as well for desert and get it all to go. Sometimes we get the hot meat pies (want some for later? Get the pre made ready to cook from the fridge) and just sit outside at a picnic nice table and stuff ourselves. This is one of Oregons best kept secrets. Be patient because it is almost always busy, thus the premade sandwiches etc. the picnic tables fill fast and parking can sometimes be a challenge. Disabled parking in front and accessible for all. Note: it isn't large inside so be aware. They also sell some souvenirs like dish towels, aprons sweatshirts etc. Great food, great service and be sure to get extra to go. You must try this place. While driving up interstate 5 to Portland last week we stopped in at Creswell Bakery to stretch our legs and have some lunch. Creswell Bakery was recommended to us by a friend of my wife's and I'm so glad she shared it with us. It was pretty busy with lots of locals having lunch, but the vibe was mellow. The smell inside was ambrosial. I had their delicious Chipotle Ham Brioche Sandwich and my wife had their Roasted Vegetable Pie. She was a happy lady and so was I. We finished it off our awesome lunch with a few Oregon Hazelnut & Butterscotch Cookies for me and a Ginger-Molasses Cookie for her and we also took away a Berry tart for later. If I ever get back up that way, I'd stop in at Creswell Bakery just for another one of their mouthwatering Oregon Hazelnut & Butterscotch Cookies...OMG they are good. read more

Had to tear it apart with my fingers to eat it. The frosting was flavorful, but there was an excessive amount plopped on top. Cinnamon rolls should not be as hard as a rock! Stopped here for breakfast and fell in love with their coconut orange sweet roll! Not sure if it's a regular offering, but it should be. Coffee was strong, since I drink mine black I had to water it down a bit. Also was craving eggs so we ordered a bacon/egg sandwich and a veggie pocket. The bacon/egg was kinda bland. Veggie pocket had more flavor, but I probably wouldn't repurchase either. So, definitely worthy of the stop for bakery/pastry items. Also, there is no indoor seating which was a bummer since I didn't care to sit outside in January. So, decent little grab and go spot. The 4 stars is for the sweet roll, it would probably only get 3 if based solely on the sandwich and pocket. read more

Their sourdough is not only the best in the Eugene area, but also a steal at $5 a loaf. Although I want this local business to thrive, I'm not totally sure what the hype is. For a bakery the bun sandwiches with turkey and Swiss are pretty bland. Coffee needs some work. Maybe some canned ice coffee one something? Employees kind of seem Indifferent to working there. In their defense, I think it's constantly slammed with tourist and road warriors. Just my 2 cents. Second time here, we hoped the last time was a fluke but sadly no. We spend $42 on two sandwiches and a side salad. The sandwiches were on par with what you would get from a Fred Meyer deli. The red onion was not cut appropriately, it was incredibly dry, like very dry and lacked flavor. The side salad I paid $5 more for was minuscule and had large hunks of carrot and zucchini of all things. The most flavorful part of our meal was the 3 croutons they put on my salad. I genuinely cannot understand the hype of this place and I'm extremely offended at the lack of taste and presentation for the price tag. We won't be back. read more

This is my second visit to the fabulous bakery. This bakery is a destination for anyone driving by on i5 but more importantly a delicious resource for locals. This trip I picked up a breakfast egg/ham treat, chicken pocket, garlic/park monkey bread and a ginger cookie. A day later and I've tried them all.
