Home Depot should be ashamed of Crew2's quality of work. Crew2 left our home is horrendous condition after a carpet installation. We just spent $20K to have our home entirely painted and although we were expecting some touch ups this is excessive. Our painter will not complete the job under "touch ups" because it's too large of a project. Additionally, Crew2 poorly installed the carpet. It has ripples everywhere and every seam is visible. This company does NOT care about your home or the quality of their work. If Home Depot/Crew2 do not pay for the damages, we will be force to take legal action. Below you can see the photos. We paid for our new kitchen cabinets in AUGUST. Every step of the way there has been an issue on their end through lazy, incompetent communication both internally and to us. They delivered the first batch of cabinets in September and said they would promptly reorder broken ones (we needed 6 new pieces) before beginning demo/install. Fast forward to JANUARY and they showed up with 2 of the 6 we needed. Are you KIDDING ME?! We paid in full in freaking August and now it's January and we don't even have all of our paid-in-full, in-stock cabinets. DO NOT work with them, even if it is the cheaper option. Crew2 if you want to fix this, give us a call. Or better yet, give us our money back. read more

Deceitful, Disorganized, & Dishonorable. 3 estimates. 2 charges to our credit card. 1 report from the installation tech. 2 invoices? None of them consistent with each other. Confused yet? We certainly are! All we know is we were charged $700 more than what we agreed to. When I request an installation service, I expect an estimate that includes base parts and labor. Then, after the tech adjusts the estimate for added parts, I expect to be billed for that amount. Not something else spread out and hidden among 3 quotes. Crew2, Contractor for Home Depot, must have a 3 year old assembling their invoices and a crook as head manager. When I brought the inconsistencies to their attention, all they can say is, "the parts were required." I will concede, they did agree to reimburse us a whopping $40.95. But even that has yet to be credited back. Crew2 and Home Depot demonstrated to me and my wife that they do not value honesty or customer fidelity. The water heater does work. They do perform good work. But I will not trust Home Depot for an installation again. read more

I had them come in and estimate carpet replacement for a basement that got wet. They wrote finite details as to what they wouldn't do. Such as move certain things, or what they would disassemble for a certain cost. But at no point did they say they wouldn't dispose of the wet carpet and pad they were standing on when I paid for carpet install and removal. Heck we even removed it for them. These guys are terrible. Don't use them, they don't even respond back when you let them know your not satisfied with the outcome. read more

Crew 2 is essentially an "Uber" for contractors. If you had a good experience, it's because you had a good contractor. All Crew 2 did was, double the price and take their cut. It makes me mad that I have to give them 1 star, in order to post my review. Here's my story. Last September 2018, I took a line of credit at Home Depot using their "project home loan" I never remodeled anything before, so I didn't have a clue as to how much everything would cost but I was approved for the loan and ready to start my project, so thought. After months of getting sent back and forth from, trying to get in with the cabinet designer to, getting field measurements, I received a notification that my project loan is about to expire. I panic, it's now March, I've demo my kitchen already but nothing is happening. I call the HD and Crew 2 several times a day, trying to speed things up. Finally March 26, I'm able to pre-pay for the cabinets and labor, so I don't lose my funding. $6,700 of it for Crew 2, for labor. (Excluding what I'm responsible for; all demo, haul away of old cabinets, all electrical, all painting and a hand full of other items.) May 6th, the cabinets arrived. A week later a couple Crew 2 guys come and unboxed the cabinets. Unfortunately, I'm told, l we can't start the install because their are cabinets that need to be replaced. June 5th the replacement arrived and contractors are scheduled. The plumber is coming on the 19th, the drywall person is coming on the 20th and 21st, I'm to paint over the weekend, and cabinets get installed on the 24th and 25th. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The Plumber and drywall contractors came and I paint all weekend. Sunday night, I'm pealing the painters tape off the walls and as I'm pealing it back, the paint is pealing off along with caulk that the drywall contractor used. The paint job I spent all weekend on, is ruined and there's no time to fix it, the next day is installation day. The installer didn't show. Several calls to Crew 2 and Home Depot, looking for answers and all I'm told, is a bunch of BS; they under estimated the drywall dry time, the installers wife had a baby, I'm responsible for the paint repair, but I'm not told, when the job will get done. Now they can't locate the drywall person. Which means, the installer can't come either and he's scheduled for other jobs. Which also means, I'm not getting a working kitchen anytime soon. It's now the 25th, what should have been competition day and I've had it. I call a general contractor, referred to me, by my realtor after I was ranting about this on FB. The new contractor comes over, that day, and he is shocked. He wants to go to HD, with me and talk to a manager but thinks, we should call first to make sure they have a few minutes. So we call but the manager doesn't want us to come in. We still can't get any answers, so I request to call it quits with Crew 2. I'm told no one has ever done that before but I reference the, 100% satisfaction guarantee. The new contractor starts working, that day on good faith, that I will be refunded by HD, for the unfinished labor. Crew 2 did; 1 cut and cap of the sink (30 min), a $69.00 lead test (negative) 1 unboxing (20 min not on bid/quote) and about 10 hours/2sheets of drywall. They offered me a refund of $2,900.00. After a few days of going back and forth, I settled on $4,000.00. My only request was, for invoices on the work that was done. It is now September 2019, I have not received a dime. Home Depot and Crew 2 will not return my calls or emails. Not surprising turns out that the cabinets that were supposedly damaged, were not! But they were left in my garage along with, all the boxes and cardboard which I also had to pay, to have it hauled away. Alongside a sting of other inconveniences. Both Crew 2 and Home Depot were deceptive and neither company, cared about me as a customer. Home Depot knew, that by using their loan, to pay for labor, I had to use Crew2. read more

Is no stars an option? I would have given them that. Do not use this company and for that matter, Home Depot because they endorse them. The most unprofessional, lazy, irresponsible and disorganized company ever. They will take all your money, do a half assed job and leave you hanging for ever. Similar to other reviews here, the trouble starts when they arrive. They did show up on the right day.(the first time) The project will take 5 days to finish. The installer asked if he could park his trailer in our driveway. We assumed he meant while he worked. Sure I can see that. We live in the city. It's closer to the house. Less walking back and forth. More security over his equipment. O.k.. Oh no, he meant all week. After a quick 5hr. first day, he's out but the trailer will be staying. What??? I now have a dining room full of all the stuff that was supposed to be going in my kitchen and a trailer in my driveway. They also asked for a key to the garage. Again I assumed they wanted to get at some electricity for the power tools. Understandable. I came home the next day to find the trailer parked on half my driveway and his truck taking the other half and his tools and a bunch of supplies stored in my garage. What the f is in the trailer if you have stuff in my garage, dining room and my kitchen? O.k. be calm. Just get them done and gone. It really got no better all week. I just want them done and gone. Well some pieces were missing some were built wrong (not their fault) and damage had been done to my house. A month later and I'm still waiting for the replacement parts and repairs. Looks like I'll be waiting another month. Because this company has no communication skills or follow through. Home Depot will be of little help to you in resolving issues. Used crew2 via Home Depot flooring purchase and install. The scheduling was a bit off in the beginning but I don't know if this was Home Depot or crew2 but everything was fine after a phone call. Crew2 called to schedule the install, good communication about the install and accurate install timing. The crew showed up on the morning promised and finished when they expected (3 day tear out of carpet and tile, install LVP). The crew was courteous, safe, professional and nice. The crew boss showed up mid project to verify the work was satisfactory and approve progress. We had a walkthrough at the end of the project to verify everything was satisfactory. This is home construction so things get dirty, it's loud and....it's construction. If anyone thinks new flooring is quick, simple and seemless they need to come back to earth. Only suggested improvements would be on the estimate side (think this was Home Depot, not crew2) as the estimator called for incorrect baseboard trim that we did not use, and for a little more communication about setting up the labor and quick message the day before to give the homeowner peace of mind that the crew will be there the next day. I received an email letting me know labor would be scheduled after material arrived at Home Depot but it didn't get scheduled until it was at my house and I called Home Depot, then I received a phone call to schedule the labor and hoped they would show up when promised. read more

I would give ZERO Stars if I could. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO WITH HOME DEPOT who uses CREW2 for your carpet install. THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND. You will end up with carpeting that is shot and matted after a very short period of time (one year for us). Trust me, the "free install" IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!! They basically cut the carpet and throw it in and do not stretch (an inspector from Crew2 also verified this happened with their OWN company and still won't fix) which inevitably will leave you with RUINED carpeting in the end that they will refuse to replace. I have gone rounds with Home depot and Crew2 who play the blame game. They do not call or email back but after spending hours chasing people down to fix the problem they will ultimately admit to their wrong doing by giving you a SMALL refund ($400 refund after spending $5,000 for me) which is a small fraction of the cost you originally spent. I have never been so unhappy and appalled by these two companies and how they do business. They DO NOT care about their customers satisfaction whatsoever, are RUDE and do not listen. You will waste your time and money. PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SCREWED OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. DO NOT GO WITH HOME DEPOT WHO USES CREW2 FOR THE FREE INSTALL. We bought new kitchen cabinets at Home Depot and used Crew2 to in theory, streamline and hasten the install. We bought the cabinets in Dec. and the design work with Jewls went well. We received the cabinets right on time. Everything after that went south. It's almost July and we still can't use the kitchen. I would not use Home Depot or Crew2 ever again for a project like this. I really regret the entire purchase. Wish I could have a do-over. We spent a premium price and got sub par service. The kitchen looks OK, but now electrical doesn't work. read more

Kitchen project has been nothing but a nightmare and very poor communication by crew2. 100% DO NOT recommend! We are in month 3 and still cannot finish our kitchen due to a broken cabinet and incorrect doors and a panel. Crew2 has no answers on when they will be able to finish our cabinets. Many phone calls and all we get is the run around. Until then we have the countertops on hold and cannot install sink/plumbing and flooring until they finish what they started. read more

The collaboration between Home Depot and Crew2 ( installers ) is a complete joke. We never write reviews however, I truly hope this saves someone the hassle we just went through. We have purchased carpet from Home Depot in the past when they had different installers and had a wonderful experience but what we just went through with our recent order was ridiculous. After ordering our carpet the merchandise arrived to Crew2 within the timeframe promised. We were called to schedule installation and did so. The Thursday before our Friday installation date we received a call at 2pm saying our carpet had been lost and they would need to cancel our install. We were disappointed but things happen so we were understanding. Kenton, from Crew2, promised to work on resolving the issue over the weekend and contact us on Monday. That call never came. We had to contact them and it took several messages and contact attempts for him to even answer. At that time he confirmed he would just have to reorder the carpet because they never found it. Again, frustrating, but we adjusted plans with our contractor and called it a day. I received a voicemail from Kenton stating it had been reordered and would be in and installed in our home in 1.5-2weeks. We waited and at the 1.5 week mark when we hadn't heard anything again I called for an update. Home Depot couldn't find the order and bounced us around to several clueless individuals. Much to our surprise the carpet had never been reordered at all. Along with this we were shuffled around from person to person trying to get answers. Crew2 would say to contact Home Depot and Home Depot would say to contact Crew2. We were promised call backs that never came, promised to be included in email conversations which never happened, promised compensation which happened (at less than 10%) only after daily phone calls to multiple people for almost a week. If you value your time and money you should absolutely avoid purchasing carpet from Home Depot until they switch installers. Their product is not special enough to ever justify dealing with the worst customer service we've ever experienced. read more

I HIGHLY recommend this company. Installer was right on time, worked hard to complete the job in a timely manner, and cleaned up everything when he left. I was super impressed with him and his work ethic. Carpet is beautiful; job was fantastic. Side note: when he arrived in his van, he parked in the driveway and immediately put down protection on the cement in case there was any oil dropped from his vehicle. We have had a plethora of workers in/out of the house in the last month due to renovation, and none of them did this simple thing that made a huge difference. Well done, Crew 2! read more

Installed kitchen including cabinets and electrical. During the installation there were several issues that needed addressing (incorrect measurements and delays). In trying to get things scheduled or simply to have someone return my call or email was nearly impossible. I am now trying to contact them about some faulty electrical and have left several emails, voicemails, and have been disconnected more times than I wish to count. I will NEVER use Crew 2 again. read more

So thank you to Ben for his response. We did have a quality inspector who came to our home and proceeded to agree with our assessment of damage and poor installation. He then explained exactly how the installers caused all of the damage and poor installation. Crew 2 is supposed to come on February 3 to reinstall the carpet on the stairs. They also told us that after that is complete, they would discuss reimbursement for the damages. Today is January 24 - more than a month after the initial installation. I am sincerely hoping they show up on February 3 AND they offer AND actually pay reimbursement for damage that needs to be repaired as they said they would. We'll see what happens...... read more

I will never use Crew2 again. Original floor was put in Nov 21' and was falling apart and separating within two weeks due to poor install. It took till Sept 22' to get it fixed. Installers were to be here 9/12/22 to replace flooring and did not show. Lost day of work, Crew2 did not contact me, I had to contact them to find out why. The crew came 9/13/22 without the plyboard underpayment, again. Two hour battle with Crew2 on this, again. First day was hours of contact with Crew2 about issues. Floor is now correct and solid. The installers did a good job but their people at Crew2 are ineffective at their jobs of communication with their teams. Never again. read more

The flooring contractors for Home Depot did a fine job. They were willing to go above and beyond expectations. HD depends on the contractors to be a face for the company outside their doors. These folks - Rosie, David and Hector were fine folks and I appreciate their very hard work. Dealing with Home Depot was a matter of success despite their intermittent foul ups. Krew 2 (Home Depot) was outrageous in their up charge for additional work to rectify a minor bump in their estimate. I did the work myself! $625 for 15 minutes work! Delivery was fouled up. Return for excess material was a pain. Review of the estimate on-line and in- house was less than stellar. As long as one has a reasonable/comptent installer I would still recommend Home Depot. It might be a pain but at least they hire good subcontractors. Plural because two days later I had a dishwasher delivered. It was on time and the shipper immediately called to assure satisfaction. read more
