We tried this place for the first time on a Saturday night. I'm glad we went early (around 5pm) because there was a super long wait when we left. I guess it's a popular place! It's a sports bar type atmosphere with lots of TVs, a prominent bar, high tops, etc. It's extremely loud so not the place to go if you want to have a conversation but definitely an energetic and fun vibe. The service was extremely slow. Drinks arrived promptly but we then had to wait about 20 minutes before the server showed up again to take our food order. It was then another 25 minutes before we got our food. So we were seated for almost an hour before we even started eating. Everything we had was great. My party had sandwiches, salad, catfish, tater tots, and hot slaw and it was all delicious. The menu is huge with a lot of things that look great so I'll definitely be back to give it another try. We went this past weekend and it was kinda rough. Server was new so we gave some grace but failed to get a simple drink we ordered (Tequila/Soda splash of lemonade came as wrong tequila with tap water) and when we identified it was wrong there wasn't offer to fix. Was difficult to get refills on bar drinks when ready and dinners were subpar. Strawberry salad chicken appeared to be boiled instead of grilled and steak special was a bit overcooked and unseasoned. Omg, the onion ring tower is life changing! Could be the best onion rings I've ever had. I just ordered the appetizer portion of hanky panks - I was full from the onion rings. My husband ordered the meatloaf which was recommended. He said it was fine but not something he would order again. The service was awesome and the menu has lots of options. A party of 4 of us dined on Tuesday around 3:30. We tried the Happy Hour Hanky Pankys, and the Onion Ring appetizer. Both were so delicious! For dinner we had a wedge salad, grilled chicken salad, Grilled chicken over pasta, and a Grilled chicken wrap. All of those were excellent! We will definitely be back! I don't know why we don't come here more often. There are so many amazing items on the menu. If you haven't done the creek get over here. If you come during dinner expect a crowd but don't give up. First of all, Kyle the bartender is 5 stars and beyond! He is outstanding! We have loved Crewitts menu & friendly staff, I am only knocking a peg because on our last visit, we waited forever & the hostess staff was not at all friendly or accommodating. There was no manager who came out to assist. Thankfully Kyle helped us to finally get seated after over an hour. Having said that, we did enjoy the food & our server was very nice. We had dinner here this past Saturday night. We started off with the GOAT balls which is meatballs drenched in made from scratch marinara and topped with goat cheese. Served with baked crostinis. There's enough of these for 3 or 4 people!! Then we shared the Pavarotti pasta which is linguine drenched in made from scratch Alfredo sauce, topped with grilled chicken & basil. Our food was absolutely amazing! Service was good. We've eaten here a few times and NEVER ever had a bad meal. Some things were really good - the fried green tomatoes were very tasty and they have two sauces with them. I love the bacon jam that came with them. The wedge salad was excellent. I'd asked for no onions and it came with onions, but that happens. We then had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was good but not the best. There's places that have much better mashed potatoes and much better meatloaf to be honest. The thing that was actually not good at all was the chocolate raspberry bread pudding. It wasn't very good because they had let it cook too long and it was hard as a rock. I would be leery of their dessert simply because the one I had was so bad - there were a lot of items on the appetizers that I would like to try and I will go back because I want to try their independence Hot Brown. read more

I had wedge salad but unfortunately it had wayyy too much dressing on it. For entrees I chose the deviled eggs with hot honey chicken- this was ok! As a person who doesn't live in Kentucky, I visited this establishment with my family. I called ahead and was informed that while they don't do rsvp nor waitlisting I can have someone come early to be added to the checked in to be seated. Upon their arrival they were met with an unpleasant demeanor and the hostess was unwilling to accommodate my group. After a moment of going back and forth they stated that my party of 13 can be seated outside on the patio. I arrived and went to speak to the hostess to be met with the same unpleasant demeanor. I explained to her the phone call that I had just had with another coworker of hers, she stated that it didn't matter what I was told it was either I can take the patio that they just opened or wait 30 more mins to be seated indoors like I requested. I don't want to say that this was a black and white thing, but being the only black family in this establishment I do have to wonder. Wouldn't go here unless you're willing to wait an hour for your food. I ordered a burger without cheese due to allergies. 20-30 minutes later it comes out with cheese and I sent it back. Well the rest of my party was already done eating 30 minutes later when my burger comes out. And I ask the server for extra pickles "a decent amount" because I had to box my burger to go since everyone else was finished and when Trey brings me out my extra pickles I received 2 Pickles. Yes, it wasn't his fault for the mistake on the burger or timing but could have at least spared more than 2 pickles. Bad service terrible food timing. read more

Not long ago I wrote a review of this terrific restaurant in our town. We have brought many out of town guests to this restaurant and have always been proud to do so. Late afternoon yesterday around 5, we decided to run over and have some appetizers and then bring our meal home. I am sad to say the service was horrible. I can't blame it on our bartender/waitress because she was so incredibly busy. We ate fried pickles which we usually love! There were a few in the basket, the rest was hard crumbs. We ordered to go a flatbread and fried catfish. It took 45 minutes to get which was too long for what we had. The food was not fit to eat when we got home (1 mile trip) Flatbread was piled on top of each piece and all stuck together. The bill with tip included was over $80.00. This was very sad since we really like this restaurant. Maybe another try but it will be a long time. read more
