The email process was slow for two reasons: the bakery is only open a few days a week and the person in charge responded to emails about once a week. I was worried about having to find another bakery. As for the custom cake, the guest of honor was very happy. The cake was beautiful and measures up to our request. The baker was very interested in getting things just right. It was hard to judge the cake because it was in a fridge at the restaurant for a little while so it was served cold, not fresh.
