Everything in there was super fresh. I'm adding this place to Yelp because the only supermarket I know in the area closed and this is just the best place I've been to to get meat EVAR! When we got up to the front counter where we usually pay we waited for a while then finally asked a guy if we could just pay for this he rudely told us the line starts behind the 40 people waiting for their smoked products and meats and delis and salads we tried to explain to it we only had three items here that were prepackaged and just ring us up again rudely told us the line starts back there. I wanted to leave the items on the counter but my wife decided to put them all back. This to me is the same of buying a quart of milk at the supermarket and having them tell you you have to go back and take a number at the deli counter to pay for it, pretty stupid. He rated them 3 star, which is to be expected. He has, in fact, earned his reputation as Demanding Dan. If I lived a bit closer, would be interested in trying a few other things. But once that was sorted it has been pretty epic. Lots and lots of in-season fresh veggies, "market style" so you pick what you'll use more of, and the farm partners with a few places to offer some things they don't grow themselves (e.g. peaches). Pick up has been smooth and consistently easy. The only small downer has been the "pick your own" section in the lower fields. There's inadequate signage and a lot of times when we go to look for things on the week's board we can't find them or they are picked out. Once or twice l've seen other customers pick things not on the board which always makes us a little sad. This "added benefit" of the CSA has just mostly not worked for us. We had compost delivered by the farm once. Getting notified about the delivery took awhile, but once we were scheduled communication was clear and the delivered product has seemed to be excellent at helping our plants grow. Lastly, we have gone to the farm for pancake breakfasts with maple syrup. Go hungry! These pancake meals have been a good fit for our family: plenty to eat, casual and no frills, and tasty. We don't go regularly (because I can make pancakes at home) but it's a nice little splurge for a day when no one has to cook or clean.

Farm made no added sugar apple sauce w/cinnamon of local grown apples. Coffee, tea, orange juice available. On the tables, 3 varieties of syrup. Everything was served hot and super satisfying. Last weekend I had a feeling they would be at a different food expo. I was willing to go buy tickets to enter the expo just to see if they were there. Fortunately my hunch was right. They were there I ran over to them like we were old friends. Even gave me a hug. I knew I had to stock up on the spreads but the only lady I open for 3 months and 3 weeks once open. The 8oz pack is $8 and worth every penny. I settled on 2 -Maple Cheddars. This down come off sweet from the syrup but the flavor is addictive. I have some as a snack at night. I also bought 1 -Great Garlic Parm. The most kick you in the face with flavor. It's really potent and I find works best spread on good warmed Braided semolina Bread. Best thing to serve with your pasta dinner. This is a small family business who love their product and they should it's a great one. There are shipping fees obviously. They go higher in the summer since they need to keep it cold and costs more. I will be a customer for years to come.
