It first started off with my husband & I walking in to see the price of upgrading our phones and changing phone plans so that we could be on our own phone bill from our families. The lady we were working with was patient about it, but something I should've seen wrong about our transaction was that she was able to pull us off our old plan even though we weren't the account holders. She made a couple calls, and was able to set us up. She asked if I owned a business, which I do have a small business; and offered their Internet plan under their Business line. She signed us up for a Business plan with phone & internet, okay done! After the transaction was done, she said she was going to e-mail the receipt for us. Waited 2-3 days, no e-mail showing what I really paid for and what was charged. I had to personally come into the store to ask for a breakdown bill of what was being charged. What really got me questioning this store's ethics was the fact that my parents gave me a call from a different Verizon store, I spoke to one of their employees and she made me aware that it should not have been possible to remove me from my family plan without the account holder's permission. How did she do it? I don't know. She sounded concerned and mentioned it was not ethical to do. It was already done, so I couldn't go back. I didn't appreciate that once we had the Internet for about a month, it was actually worse than what I had originally. I didn't want to change the Verizon internet plan because it's what made our whole phone line cheap. So upselling us on something that didn't fit into our household needs was something I should've double checked on. Lastly, I turned in my phone for the trade-in price because that's what we originally came to do for upgrading our iPhones. They said it would reflect in the phone bill after 1-2 billing cycles. I waited & waited, probably 3 months and I still didn't notice the changes. I had to LITERALLY go to another Verizon store to check and see if my trade-in promotion applied to my account, and they didn't put it in. Everything got fixed thanks to the Verizon customer service & different store location. Details like this are crucial in maintaining trust in a business, which is why I'm never coming back to this location again. They don't care about the customer, they care about making commission off of you.

If it's from GameStop and preowned, what exactly does that have to do with the customer if the controller initially came from GameStop. He legit just told me to go somewhere else. Several questions arise from this: For a game store, why is there no way to check non-wireless devices. I asked, hypothetically, if I said the controller was "defective", what could be done. He said , "Nothing. Go to another store." Not a reasonable expectation to have a customer bring in their own system for an employee to check if a controller the store sales works. Additionally, he told a customer that NO gamestops sale capture cards. Go to Best Buy as opposed to saying nothing at this location, let me check other areas. GameStops do sale capture cards. He also Insisted buy 2 get 1 free applied to all preowned and had people looking for current gen games. Also false. I've had so many great employee interactions at this location and Josh clearly shows he is not one of them. Please have him go through proper training or hire someone who at least takes a small fraction of their day to review what GameStop offers.

Fortunately, this Stanton has a contract with Kaiser for discounted pricing--even better than I could get at Kaiser's optometry group. I got lenses and a new frame for less at Stanton than lenses alone at Kaiser. Also, the second and third times I used the optometrist on-site, which is more convenient than scheduling with Kaiser. I have a complex prescription and am long past being able to wear cheap plastic lenses and bargain frames. Nick, the manager, has always been helpful about walking me through various frame and lens options, and following up when I have come in to get my frames readjusted a couple of times.
