She was so sweet and helpful and just took over and made it so easy for me to switch from boost mobile, she helped call to get all my information and just made it to where I had to do 0 work. I got two free iPhone SE's when I switched and got their unlimited plan, which also came with HBO max which is super helpful so that's one less streaming app to pay. The service is AMAZING at this location ! I can't tell you how much difference it is coming from Verizon and getting real one on one personal experience . The employees and owner all live around the corner , know my name personally and don't push sales down my throat . This store added insurance plan I declined when I purchased a phone. I got a letter about my insurance plan and so I returned. They said it was a mistake and they would cancel and no charge. A couple months later found when adding a phone that insurance was never cancelled. Again was promised it would be cancelled and they would see what they could do about a credit. Now I find it was still never cancelled. This time they referred me to a call center that was rude and long wait time then after talking to several people they agreed to cancel insurance, but wont credit fir charges on a service I declined and requested several times be cancelled. read more

As I do every night I reviewed the cameras to assure everything was done according to cricket and my standards. I listened carefully to what you demanded and what my employee was offering. The "hidden fee" you're mentioning is a standard fee cricket wireless charges at every store. Maybe him mentioning the fee later then earlier wasn't satisfactory to you, but its hard not to be incredibly intimidated by your demeanor and your tone. Although I understand your frustration, and understand you feel like you were being up sold, please let's not forget we endure many situations where customers are upset that were not offering them everything at the point of sale. That being said, cussing and flipping off my employees is NOT acceptable.. And I will not tolerate that in my store. We constantly have kids at the play table and constantly have kids outside the store around subway and in the parking lot. My daughter sits in the store at times and for you to sit there and curse and make obscene gestures is incredibly disrespectful. The associate delivered on his promise, presented the different benefits before I made my purchase and in return gained a customer for life!!! Having used t-mobile and metro in the past Cricket seems to deliver on all there promises my coverage is excellent and my bill has stayed the same!!! I live in a rural part of Elk Grove and LTE speeds are hard to come by but with cricket the internet is fast and the call quality is great. Heard about this place having good monthly rates. After my contract with Sprint was over, I headed over to one of their many locations in Sacramento. The guy was helpful and friendly and I walked out of the store in less than hour with a new phone, new plan, better service than sprint and an unbeatable price! I regret ever coming to this place to get a SIM card for my unlocked phone. Switching to Cricket Wireless was a huge mistake. This is one of the most unstable garbage mobile providers out there. For example, MMS never succeeds in sending ever - even following their documentation doesn't help. I have an LG G5 phone which works great, but the service that is currently attached to it is a JOKE. Cricket Wireless should not exist at all. I can't even stream Spotify at low quality settings without audio skipping like crazy through my car drives. The quality of their cell towers are such garbage that if you were to switch to this service I can guarantee the user experience will be extremely disappointing. Anything that streams audio including Google Maps suffers HUGE performance problems. My S.O's phone is also pretty useless because it is on this stupid mobile provider. She can't even reliably get verbal directions from Google Maps because the Cricket cell towers are such a huge joke they can't handle the bandwidth. I have called about 5 different times only to get someone from Latin America that could barely speak english. I am beyond disappointed with Cricket Wireless and their crappy service. I will be switching from this joke of a provider to a more established better quality mobile provider. I will probably go back to Ting wireless because they are a solid mobile provider which uses Sprint's backend. I would never recommend Cricket to anyone. read more

I signed up for Cricket service on 1-31-15. I had had it with T-Mobile, so I thought Cricket may be a good alternative. I purchased a Nokia Lumina 635, which Cricket had on special. The phone costs $75, and a $75 rebate was promised. The terms that followed receiving the rebate was to pay for the most expensive monthly service ($60.00), and then to have uninterrupted service for 2 months. The manager told me that he would fill out and submit the rebate request for me, because the company usually denies the rebate requests. He took the time to complete the form, photocopy the barcode and receipt for me, as well as mail it himself. Well, I have made my now 3 payments, and still I have not received my $75 rebate!!! Calls to customer service, and visits to the store at 8145 Elk Grove Blvd. Ste 20 have been unsuccessful. I called last Monday, to the store 916-509-9117, and spoke to the same gentleman that helped me when I initially bought the phone. He kinda gave me a song and dance, indicating the Cricket uses a third party to process their rebates. I calmly listened, and indicated that as a customer, I don't care who or what Cricket uses to process their claims. As a customer, I saw the offer from Cricket, bought and phone and the service from Cricket. THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT A THIRD PARTY PROCESSES THEIR REBATE CLAIMS!!!! It's supposed to have taken 8-10 weeks, and then it changes to 10-14 weeks. Either way, I am due for my rebate now!!!!! As of this writing, I still have not received my rebate. In addition, the phone is lousy. It doesn't always pair with my car. My other Nokia did. Calls drop frequently, and the phone doesn't hold a long charge now. I've given up hope that I'll receive my rebate, and I am going back to T-Mobile. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!! Unless you don't mind having lousy customer service, not getting your promised rebate, and having a phone that drops calls, and doesn't have a charge by all means go with Cricket. I purchased my phone here a little over 3/4 months ago so this is a late review but I really wanted to take my time and express how I feel about the staff here & businesses don't get a lot of positivity on yelp like most restaurants do. Note: I did my research heavily on cricket wireless & was really surprised how the forums had such great things to say about the company. That being said, I was prepared and wanted the service before I came into this location. So if you're looking for a review about first impressions of the company then this is the wrong review for you...but if you're looking for a customer impression of this store than keep reading! First off, I would like to note that this was the third & last cricket location I went to that day. I actually went to a different location at first next to lamppost pizza & quickly left because it was empty, the employee seemed like they had no idea what they were doing or knew anything about the company & the manager looked extremely intimidating to me and I think his staff was scared of him too. Ironically before I left they advised me not to drive to the this Elk Grove location because they "have horrible service"...so I drove to game stop instead which sells cricket service as well. Sadly the staff at GameStop wasn't so excited to sell cricket but I would like to point out that the nice gentleman told me to drive to the Elk Grove blvd location because he got service over there and told me the employees there know him. Although I got tired and wanted to go home, I decided to head to this location & I would like to say with the upmost respect that this was one of the best experiences I had at ANY sales store in a long time. I would like to point out a few things as I walked in: the store was very busy, there was a good amount of employees, & I was able to witness an upset customer & how the staff managed this customers issues. The customer said she was happy with the service but was throwing a fit because she wanted to exchange her phone but I guess was out of the one week exchange policy. I noticed the store has a "kids table" where children can play and draw and at the kids table was a very handsome boy playing hangman or tic tac toe (can't remember) with the children in the store. At first I thought he was a customer but found out he was the owner of this location. Keep in mind this man looks like he's 25! He quickly smiled at me & said "do you mind filling in for me" & went to go help the unhappy lady. After a few back and forths with the employees, the owner stepped in and allowed the customer to exchange the phone. I remember him telling her that there was really nothing he could do & what he was doing was actually losing money because he wouldn't be able to send the returned phone back to the manufacture but he allowed her to return the phone because he loves cricket & said he "believes in the product". That's something i haven't heard in a while & was amazed at how he was intricately suiting the customers needs while also helping the customer understand the loss that was at stake for him as a dealer/owner. The craziest thing was the customer was Jamaican & he knew everything about the island and the customer was surprised at what he knew & literally gave him a hug afterwards...i was surprised that he knew a lot about the customers homeland until I came to find out that he knew virtually everything about every nation (well at least every customer who came in). While I waited for my turn, he spoke to a customer about politics in her homeland Guatemala & another customer from Pakistan. This experience in how he articulated his new friendship with every customer was such a learning experience for me on how to perfect the best relationship with customers. It was obvious that this location has a STRONG connection with the staff and their customers. I've never witnessed a sales team treat their business like a local family diner & for that reason my review has been heavily focused on that & not crickets cell service. I could have gotten sold anywhere & I'm sure I still would have been satisfied, but I don't think I would have felt appreciated as I did at this location...not to mention I have no buyers remorse or upset with the money I spent here! When it was actually my turn to be helped, two of the employees were finished selling to their customers so I was helped with both them & Moody the owner. Two things I was really happy about was They all didn't have to speak to me but they did & nobody sold me or forced me on a specific phone...we just had conversations. I'm not entirely sure if this is them being honest and friendly human beings or if this was a sales technique..but what I can say was it is such a refreshing experience. In the end: I love my phone, love the service, & I will continue to support this location for the long run with accessories and friend referrals read more

I recently switched (3 months ago) from sprint to cricket wireless & I couldn't be happier. I went from having 3G with sprint to having 4glte everywhere I go. love the customer service at the store, the boys always treat every customer like Kin & everytime I enter the store they are quick to ask me how my day is and hand me a cold bottled water from their mini fridge. I also had a rebate issue and was denied, but what made me want to post this review is how efficient and caring the staff are. After my rebate was declined by an error validation it was reprocessed & Moody the owner called me every 2 weeks to see if I received the 75$ rebate card. I eventually received my rebate with the help of moody (it's a hassle with the rebate company not cricket) & he also gave me 50$ in store credit to purchase anything I wanted. I ended up getting hd speakers and they are crystal clear! Thanks team! read more

AT&T service! & they sell only AT&T gsm phones! They a no contract similarly to metro pcs and t-mobile escort they are completely owned by AT&T and they have all the latest devices (iPhone 6s, 6sPlus, Galaxy s6). But enough with the service. I came here to talk about the employees at this location. There's a reason why this store is always busy. They transformed a cell-phone business into a community hub. The team always has events and is giving out free food for the community. My kids love to stop by and play at the kids area after karate practice. This location is animal friendly so don't forget to bring your cat or dog! My favorite thing about this place is that the employees just like having people in the store.
