This place has so much potential but is clearly poorly managed. We were here on a Saturday night. Place was dead, bar was dirty. Pool tables were in terrible, filthy condition, very unlevel and extremely dirty. Our waitress could have cared less. She didn't know the menu or alcohol selections. We had to hunt her down for napkins and the check. Brought food with no utensils or napkins. Spent the entire time at the bar with her friends who got to play pool for free. It's who you know right?? To add insult to injury the food sucked and since the restaurant was so filthy we question the safety of our food. Time for some serious management here.

Cricket's seems to be a big go to bar on Broadway. Their karaoke nights are a hit, but their service, cleanliness, and drinks are what make this review more so brutally honest. Service was horrid. Nobody came to wipe down our table, so we did it ourselves. We watched a server check her phone more often than the tables. Food took over an hour to be served and wasn't worth the wait. The drinks were below average, little to no alcohol in them & bad flavor. The place definitely needed a good cleaning, especially their bathrooms. Something needs to change, I'm not sure if the servers even had designated areas to cover? We eventually flagged down a server to take our order, she did the best that she could especially with how lively it got in there. For reference, our most recent visit was in the early afternoon on a Saturday before the game. Overall, this is a messy, college bar. You can't have too high of expectations at places like this, but I feel as if it could've been a better experience.

Great locale to watch Monday night football!

We dropped by to watch Monday night football, play pool eat & drink. Exceeded our expectations as the beer menu was vast & the food was really more upscale than I would have anticipated. I must emphasize the onion rings!!! Crisp & battered in some airy heavenly goodness which I am sure is a locked up recipe. I shall go on & say they are the best onion rings I have indulged in ever.... Plentiful TVs to watch the game on & during halftime enjoyed pool, jenga, shuffleboard & Taylor the door staff is just delightful! Oh & the vintage pics in the game room were quite intriguing; I could look & ponder for hours. Drink pours are ample the establishment is clean & warm. It just screams raucous fun in phenomenal surroundings & personable & engaging staff! Heart, heart heart this place!

Cricket's is EVERYTHING! They have the BEST STAFF in all of Lubbock! Their staff is friendly, fun and welcoming. Their food is not bar food- it is a delicious meal! Their steak tacos are delicious. The kitchen sink burger will make you fall in love. Their chicken tenders are the best around. Their drinks are always on point and the atmosphere can range from super chill to a raging party. Crickets is the favorite Lubbock spot for celebrity sightings from everyone's favorite vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) to Dallas Cowboy, Tony Romo and also other artists stop in to check out the best beer bar in town! Friday nights are the best with a live DJ, Sunday Brunch is always a must, as well as Karaoke Mondays. Any day is a good day come to Cricket's because it always feels like home

Wings. The most pathetic $9 order of 6 wings on the planet. Don't wast your money.

Nice Atmosphere, my waitress was friendly, but most likely the most expensive beers in Lubbock, hence the rating.

Not worth a long line, but otherwise fun. Many games and many different beers available inside.

When we walked in on May 19, 2026, the place was not too busy at around noon. Right away I noticed low lighting. Cool alternative, rock, and old R&B music playing in the background. A full bar. Pinball machines for tables. Lots of nostalgia in this place! Restroom was mostly clean. The food was okay. I wish there was a bit more flavor to everything. My daughter agreed. + The Damned Dog ($11) "All beef frank, house beef chili, cheddar, diced onions, and jalapeno crispies." This was good but the frank and chili needed more flavor. I opted for a side of house-made vegan potato salad (additional $1.50) instead of potato chips which really good. + The Sourpuss ($12) "Bratwurst, sauerkraut, pickle slice, crushed salt & vinegar chips, and queso fresco." My daughter enjoyed this with ketchup and mustard added and a side of smoked gouda mac. That mac was very tasty. We also noticed how crisp and spicy our Sprite and Dr. Peppers were. Loved that. I'd definitely go back again for a drink and maybe a sandwich next time. Ample lot parking.

It changed recently and is now a open to all bar called "Ohm". The set-up was very wacky. There was really cool red glowing cube seating mixed with nice leather couches, manikins, and hipster looking signs. It was quite the hodgepodge of items to say the least. It actually worked though. I liked it. It made me feel like it was a true "nightclub". They hired a crazy disc jockey and everything. There was of course crazy lights going all over the dance floor. The drinks were fairly priced and heavy handed. The bartenders were two very lovely ladies that I chatted with for a while since we got there before the huge crowd came. I really enjoyed my time here and would come again. They are only open on the weekends and sometimes they will open on a Thursday. If you are looking to go to a crazy fun bar not in the Depot District, this is your dive.

To be absolutely honest, I can never really figure out where to begin this kind of story…read more But if I shall be so bold, I WILL say that the adventure's climax occurred about two hours AFTER I'd crossed the threshold of Ohm Nightclub and Bar, of Lubbock, TX, and into the orbit of a man with whom I'd spend the next few weeks in a state of elevated spiritual awareness, but then I got stabbed. Long story short: I basically met God, or rather: "the goddess," this chick named Diane. She was intense, but I'm getting ahead of myself. It's difficult to rest a fingertip upon this story's exposed nerve. Where does one declare: "in the beginning"? and at which precise moment is it appropriate to collapse into the cozy armchair of a definitive "THE END"? Let's go back a few days, to North Little Rock, Arkansas. Peter (my companion) had recommended we rendezvous at "Sir Loins Inn" for brunch, which is a medieval-themed steak house, and (frustratingly) not the LGBTQA dance club we'd hoped to experience. I mean: Sir Loins Inn. COME ON Peter was wearing mustard-yellow Adidas three-stripe break-aways, and his hair was braided in the fashionable "corn row" manner. Seated as we were in tall, high-back throne-like chairs, our needs attended to by a staff of dark-ages-costumed knaves and whatnot, Peter looked magnificent, something like a Caucasian blend of Lionel Richie, and that cool keyboard player in Prince's band "The Revolution." You know: the guy in the doctor's outfit, but not the doctor keyboard player from Night Ranger, if that means anything to you, because it should. Pete was chewing thoughtfully upon steak tip onion rings, and after some debate (and rising distress on my part that he'd been literally chewing upon the same "tip" of meat for 46 minutes), we'd agreed to roll a custom-made 17-sided dice to settle a decision regarding our next stop on an westward sojourn we'd hoped would culminate in Clovis, NM. After several rolls, we decided to head towards Clovis immediately. We popped a few caffeine pills and hit the road. Nine hours and 36 minutes later, we arrived in Lubbock, and we both had to urinate so badly I literally thought I was about to literally die. We parked his Pontiac Le-mans, and ran indoors. The bar's lay-out was incredible, far as I could tell, as I ran through the establishment, and into the restrooms. That first impression was a bit of a blur, to be honest. The urinal has this cool little air-freshener "fan" thingy that you pee on. The more you pee, the faster it goes, an eventually it ends with a fortune. Mine said "basically everyone has HPV," which was really helpful advice. Timely, actually. Peter and I settled in at the bar, and had a few cold ones. The bar was HOPPING. I will never forget it. At the time it seemed as if I had never before seen so many attractive men and women not on the freeway. A man approached, and said hello. His name was Ray, Ray Stubbs, as I recall, and he said something really cool like "I'm about to introduce you to God, man, and it's going to be amazing." I remember saying something like "that sounds cool," but then Ray said "but don't say anything to her about (X) or she will straight-up stab you." And in that, Ray was not wrong. Diane totally stabbed me, but that wasn't until later. It didn't happen at Ohm. We actually had a super good time there. Food was great, DJ was amazing, and upon reflection I liked not getting stabbed there, not even once. That happened later
