Veronica taking great care of my order. Thank you!!!

Amazing feeling to bring my Buenos Aires 40th birthday come to my present, which explains why I'm so thrilled! This trip back to my New York City brings back the Past, but this time My past explains this feeling. Over 15 years ago, with the wonder to discover the world, I traveled alone to visit my darling friend Danielito (famous Argentinian stylist) and He introduced me to your delicious food. These empanadas brought a huge smile as Veronica with a beautiful attitude share the feeling of getting to feel your own taste buds. I @horaciostyles declare Exquisite level of service, food and quality at a very affordable place. And by the way, I couldn't find this gem of a place on Google so writing this review on yelp, You, the food and pastry chefs and founders get my biggest congratulations to make my memories come back full of Magic and DElight!!!! Delicious and Amazing alfajores. I forgot to mention smiley Jorge delivering fresh empanadas. Thank you!!! @horaciostyles

Amazing empanadas! The outside is perfectly crisp and flaky, while the fillings are juicy and delicious. The beef one was excellent but the bbq chicken was probably the best empanada I've had in my short empanada career. Don't forget to ask for chimmichurri sauce on the side!

I checked in and checked out the Blackbird before I stepped into the Cafe there were no foods I want so I ended up didn't buy anything from this place. But they took advantage of the customer. They used my Blackbird account that I checked in and paid for someone else bill. I called them and told them about it. They didn't respond and hung up the phone on purpose. I called again and again and Noone picked up the phone

Service with a smile and pleasant ambiance, though I got my order to go. I ordered three empanadas which came out to $20.36! Another Empanada place up the road was selling one empanada for around $4.50 and I honestly enjoyed their Empanadas much better. I liked that they made their crusts different to highlight the differences in their empanada and all are baked for a healthier meal. I probably like their beef the best and the spinach the least. In fact, I only ate about half of it. She offered two sauces and I opted for the spicy sauce though I wasn't aware that they charged for the small container of sauce. Would I go back? Probably not but you should try it for yourself and see. You may love it.

Empanadas are absolutely delicious! Beef is my go to. The ham and cheese is good too. The desserts are what i look forward to most!

Lovely above ground spot not far from the original in Columbus circle. Delicious argentinian malbec beef empanada that tasted fresh, savory, and wholesome ingredients. Alfador was crumbly, creamy and great little treat

This place was amazing! The empanadas were fresh and delicious. The staff was great and answered every question with a smile. This small but adorable storefront was cozy and decorated beautifully. Definitely worth a trip.

I enjoyed the charming ambiance of Criollas empanadas, and the customer service was excellent, the lady that took our order at the register was so sweet and attentive. Unfortunately, the empanadas did not align with my taste preferences, and they were super overpriced - $18.00 for 3 empanadas and a water. I was really looking forward to the ham and cheese since it is my favorite, but this one wasn't good (imo) and also since they had already been baked prior they weren't hot, mostly warm. Would have been nice to get a fresh batch, overall cute place :)

I would say that this was lucky cause the place was packed. Generally loud but you can still talk with people on your party. One of the first things I look for is if a restaurant serves you water when you sit and here they do and the waitress would often make sure we were topped off. That is something that is always appreciated and noticed by me. The food was generally good and service was fast. I tried various dishes and while great tasting nothing really stood out like lots of the reviews said and I tried a bit of everything that was recommended in the reviews. (Even ox tail empanadas which sounds weird but weren't bad). I think the biggest appeal here is that it's 24 hours so you know you always have a quality place to go to that is great. I would recommend it to anyone in the area but I don't know if I would go out of my way for it. I know that if I'm watching another play, it is a great stop for either before or after.

The restaurant is open 24 hours and is the perfect place to go for those late-night cravings. One can sit at the full bar, in the dining area, or get items to go. The restaurant is always lively and patrons get seated quickly. The most I have ever waited for a seat is 5 minutes. There are more than 40 empanadas in corn or wheat shells to order. The menu celebrates diversity through its' empanada pairings. Greek - spinach pie, Cuban - ham, pork, and cheese, Americana - cheeseburger, Bombay - Curried chicken, Brasil - traditional ground beef, Hawaiian - ham, pineapple & mozzarella cheese and many more. Besides empanadas, there is a full menu of Colombian delights to eat including arepas, salads, sandwiches, soups, tacos and tapas. They have dessert empanadas as well. Love the USA empanada, which is apples & cinnamon baked and the Nutella & banana one. You can get it topped with ice cream as well. Really looking forward to my next visit.

The dine in folks are never prioritized. I have enjoyed shakes, rice and bean combos, veggie and meat empanadas here. Today's service felt off because the air-conditioning wasn't working inside and it was at least 10 degrees hotter inside than the hot sidewalk. The middle-aged cashier/attendant had a hearing issue or was slow on the pickup because they entered my order incorrectly on the cash register and made me repeat everything 1-2 times (what? what?) or speak louder than I typically would. The food itself was fine but the avocado shake I ordered was not tasty at all. I am not sure if it was added ingredients, the quality of the avocado itself, the lack of ice or cold water in the mix but it was undrinkable. I asked for a refund because it tasted SO horrible I did not want another sip and the cashier gave me a look like that wouldn't be possible so I asked for ice but there was no saving the terrible shake. I returned to ask for a refund and you would think that I asked for something never heard before. The cashier said that I can step away because this is going to take awhile. They texted and called a manager and after awhile returned to tell me they couldn't reach that person. I don't understand why they can't issue refunds at point of sale. You have my credit card and the transaction number. After a longer wait, I finally insisted on some method of resolution and they gave me cash back. I generally like their food and would like to support this place but today was an off putting experience.

It clearly worked: they've since grown to nine locations around Manhattan, and this Times Square outpost took over a corner of the old New York Times building back in 2017. The no-seating, standing-room setup is baked into the concept itself, not just this location. I don't love the location though, it's on a busy street in a very touristy area, which tracks, since that's exactly what it was built for. And yes, I was being a tour guide, taking friends and family to Times Square for what felt like the 80th time. At least the tacos make the trip worth it.
