Fresh and tasty baked empanadas. I had one beef and one cheese. $6.50 each. Counter service and a few small tables. Coffee and non alcoholic drinks. Four blocks from time square. Good for a quick bite if you are in the area.

Went down to the train station and found a food hall. Tried the Argentine Malbec Beef Empanada and it was flavorful; even almost bit too salty. I really like their baked empanadas which is different from the usual fried. It was tasty, and it's $6.50 for one and the usual empanadas size. The service was friendly and quick. There are small tables that are spread out for people to stand and eat.

This is a review for the Croillas stand in the Bryant park winter market. Ran across this stand while waiting for the dessert stand next to it. I never met an empanada i didnt like, so I decided to grab a few to take home for a little bite later one. It warmed up beautifully in the air fryer. The pastry was flaky. I got the spinach/asiago empanada and the fungi empanada. The spinach was super delish, very rich but i felt was overstuffed. I enjoy my empanadas w more crunch than the filling. Next was the mushroom. I was not a fan. The spices overpowered the genuine mushroom taste and i had to dump out most of the filling because it was simply just too much. It wasnt my cup of tea, maybe for others but definitely not me.

Yummy empanadas and convenient location in the Columbus circle turn style underground shops to grab on the go. Got the spinach, Malbec beef and ham and cheese. Flaky fresh crust and yummy fillings. Service with a smile from a very sweet man. Highly Recommend!

So good I came back for seconds! I had the spinach empanada and the Argentine Malbec beef empanada. Both rich in taste; great size. Very good ingredients and recipe. If I can sit here all day eating them, I woulddddd

So good! I much prefer baked empanadas to fried ones, and these deliver. The beef is tender and flavorful, the smoked chicken is rich and slightly sweet, and get the fugazetta if you really like cheese. The chimichurri sauce goes well with everything. We liked everything so much that we took some frozen ones home! And the service was so kind and attentive.

Amazing, quality empanadas! Located in the Turnstyle Underground Market in the subway station, Criollas offers very tasty empanadas of various flavors. Have tried a handful of flavors and they all are solid. Hearty and tasty. My favorites I think are the classic Argentine Malbec Beef Empanadas and Smoked Chicken Empanadas, but I enjoyed the vegetarian ones just the same. Also, the main worker/owner (?) is a sweet man and has always provided service with a smile. The store itself is a little small, but all the places in the market are and there is still ample seating and room to enjoy.

Criollas Baked Empanadas is a solid choice when you're craving authentic Argentinian empanadas in NYC. They're perfect for a quick and easy takeout meal, and the prices are reasonable. I ordered beef, ham and cheese and spinach.

Great empanadas! I got the beef and the chicken. The chicken was definitely the better one, especially with the sauce.

Spicy sauce was not delicious. Crust was gummy. Corn filling was mushy. The people were nice I think maybe they're just not that fresh.

The restaurant is open 24 hours and is the perfect place to go for those late-night cravings. One can sit at the full bar, in the dining area, or get items to go. The restaurant is always lively and patrons get seated quickly. The most I have ever waited for a seat is 5 minutes. There are more than 40 empanadas in corn or wheat shells to order. The menu celebrates diversity through its' empanada pairings. Greek - spinach pie, Cuban - ham, pork, and cheese, Americana - cheeseburger, Bombay - Curried chicken, Brasil - traditional ground beef, Hawaiian - ham, pineapple & mozzarella cheese and many more. Besides empanadas, there is a full menu of Colombian delights to eat including arepas, salads, sandwiches, soups, tacos and tapas. They have dessert empanadas as well. Love the USA empanada, which is apples & cinnamon baked and the Nutella & banana one. You can get it topped with ice cream as well. Really looking forward to my next visit.

The kitchen staff were friendly. Our large order was completed quickly. The presentation left something to be desired as well as the provided utensils were not up to the task of the steak. We ordered Entrana ala plancha with black beans and yellow rice. It came with a green salad. Everything had a great taste though the steak was too tough for the plastic fork and knife. Tostones huge portion and well cooked Picada great value BUT the way it was packaged made it hard to tell what was what. And the steak became overcooked. However the chicken was moist and the portion was generous. Pineapple juice fresh squeezed and worth a trip on its own! A ton of empanadas, I think we ordered everyone that wasn't spicy. Good ratio of dough to filling. Well cooked. The Stanford were the Romeo and Juliet (in a bad way) and the Bombay, Cuban, and desayuno in a good way. I'd come back but probably to one of the sit down locations instead.

We ordered the octopus, tuna tartare, skirt steak, and chicken, along with a margarita and the Palermo Mezcal cocktail. Every single item was exceptional. Even the complimentary bread that came out at the beginning was a 10/10. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we loved being able to watch the kitchen prepare our food from our table. It's a small kitchen, which makes it even more impressive that they're consistently turning out such thoughtful and delicious dishes. I noticed some reviews mentioning slow service, but I honestly think those people missed the entire point of the experience. Palermo isn't meant to be rushed. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and feels like you're sitting in someone's living room enjoying a meal they've carefully prepared just for you. We never felt pressured to order quickly or rushed through our meal, which made the experience even better. Every dish was meticulously prepared, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. You can tell that everything is made with care and attention to detail. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, Palermo created an experience that felt warm, intentional, and memorable.
