Delicious spot in the LES right by Tompkins Square park. Came by mid day, the space is good vibes. They even have a domino table which is fire. Tried 3 empanadas: the chicken and cheese, spinach and cheese and a vegan one with caramelized onions - all delicious. The vegan one was actually my favorite. The pastry is nice and flakey, can definitely tell they put some love into this. Their bottled hot sauce is also really good. Def give them a try!

The meat ingredients are very fresh, not dry, the corn and the puff pastry are delicious. I like the salsa and the pink sauce, definitely need to try a few other empanadas. The only thing they lack is a large larger menu like their competitor. But definitely better than their competitor

((4.5 stars)) Titi's is empanada joint on East 7th Street, near Tompkins Square Park. serving variety of blended Venezuelan and NYC flavors in puff pastry shells, white & yellow corn pockets, OR sweet plantain vessel as well as some sandwich, dessert empanadas, and other options. the puff pastry empanadas are mostly baked while the corn ones are fried to crispy goodness. Titi's interior is colorful and eclectic like your crazy aunt's living room...it is homey, with a few booth seating options and a standing table. the space gives off a very casual fun vibe that isn't messy but also isn't overly neat...very chill...when you need to pause the craziness of NYC and eat some comforting calories. been here a few times, i can say this is a great addition to the neighborhood's food options. many of the empanada options are served in a baked puff pastry wrapping--like the chopped cheese empanada filled with seasoned ground beef and cooper's sharp American. ordered one of these because who doesn't like a good bodega-made chopped cheese? the empanada is filled to the brim with savory beef and melt cheese in a buttery flaky shell. it comes together nicely as meaty eat and evokes the classic bodega sandwich (Titi's also serves a traditional chopped cheese sandwich on a long roll hot off the grill if you want a much heftier serving of calories. my favorite empanada was the "papa con queso" corn empanada (one of the vegetarian options)--a soft potato and melted cheese filling enclosed in a golden brown corn empanada. the potato + cheese is such a great comfort food and very satisfying...the empanada is crispy on the outside and makes for a great combo with the potato cheesiness. the "Domino" corn empanada is another good vegetarian empanada--savory black beans (not mushy) in melted cheese in a crispy corn empanada...a satisfying bite that isn't superheavy. tried a "Pollo" corn empanada is seasoned moist chicken in a crispy soft shell. also had a drip coffee here--it was okay to good, but the focus is the food. the empanadas take about 6-10 minutes to heat up or fry...which i appreciate as the food comes hot outta the fryer or oven. don't sleep on the sauces: the green sauce was my favorite as it is a cilantro-based (plus other herbs) mayo dipping sauce. the service is very friendly even when they are busy. the staff is helpful and can make suggestions if you're unsure on what to get. definitely worth a stop for a snack or meal: 1-2 empanadas is a good snack option, while 3-4 makes for an enjoyable meal that allows for ordering a variety of flavors. oh, and there are a couple of vegan options for the non-carnivores.

Corn Empanada - Carne Mechada & Pollo en Mole Rojo

Great stop for a quick snack! Empanadas were even better than some Cuban bakeries in Miami. Highly recommend the Carne Mechada and Pollo en Mole Rojo. The team was super friendly and we felt well taken care of. Will be coming back to t explore more of the menu and enjoy hanging out in the space!

I was craving some empanadas and stopped by Titi's after hearing about them on social media. They were delicious and exactly what I needed after night out! I got the oxtail and loved how tender the meat was! It came with oxtail gravy sauce that amplified the flavors but I was sad there wasnt any cheese involved. My friends and I LOVED the pollo and queso because of the classic flavors and the gooey, melty cheese inside the puff pastry. Needless to say they went to get seconds! The corn empanadas were also tasty with a crunchy shell. The sweet plantain ones confered a nice sweet and savory combo! The pabello featured beef, beans, and cheese which had a really nice fix of flavors with the savoriness of the tender meat/cheese and the sweetness from the plantain shell. Staff were super nice and patient when explaining the options to us. The space was cute - a combo of bar seating, high top seating, and couches that make you feel like youre at grandma's home! Food came out quick and piping hot with a couple different sauces. I'm excited to try their other flavors in the future!

It's a spot!! You know them hole in the wall!

Empanada jam with capicu!! How cool! Walked into this spot in the lower East Village!! Awesome vibe for a quick hangover treat and enjoy a quick domino game! Loved it!! Hope they make it an official event! Patrons outside highly recommended the assorted. I had the carne mechada. Awesome!

    Cuban Sandwich

Best Cubano sandwich in the east village. I'm super picky - my first Cuban was at Gloria Estefan's restaurant Bongos as a teenager and I haven't been satisfied again until this one! This is a crispy, juicy sandwich worth waiting off the grill for!

I don't like the fact the use shredded chicken, like if it came out of a can. The place is small but the ambiance was nice.

I was never a big fan of arepas. I've tried them a handful of times and wasn't particularly wow'ed…read more I assumed perhaps this specific dish wasn't my thing, but after trying this cafe, I realized that I simply haven't tried good arepas before! My friend and I came for a late lunch on Tuesday. There were plenty of seats available, and we were seated close to the entrance. The staff was friendly, and our server in particular was clearly passionate about Venezuelan cuisine and was excited for us try to their dishes. My friend ordered their pulled pork arepa, and I ordered one of their rice plates. The arepa was filled to the brim. It was full of beans, meat, and topped with cheese. My plate was absolutely delicious and its aroma filled the restaurant. The meat was tender, well seasoned, and saucy. The plantains were pan fried to perfection, tender and sweet. The beans were flavorful. I could have just that with rice all day. Writing this review is making my mouth water. Maybe I should return there soon!

Food: solid 8/10 Service: 8/10…read more My only reason for the 3 star review is because this establishment charges gratuity without informing the person. There is clearly a tip option at the bottom so I ended up paying double tip. It is common practice for the restaurant to inform the consumer when they do this.
