Place should be called Crisp n Jerky because they severely over-cook the chicken, it's so dry not even their bland "hot sauce" helps to choke it down. My side salad was nothing more than some shreds of iceberg lettuce topped off with a mushy tomato slice. The side of mashed potatoes was gross instant potatoes that had clearly been microwaved right before serving. Was in town looking at houses to rent. We planned on going to another restaurant but plans changed last minute. Ordered the chicken sandwich (dark meat) and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. My family and I had lunch here today and it was underwhelming to say the least. I ordered the Aloha sandwich and the chicken was not juicy at all, in fact it was rather dry. Despite coming in at 12:15pm, it tasted like it had sat out for hours and was cooked again. The cheese was not melted on the warm sandwich so it tasted weird. This is a really nice clean location with chicken that fits the name. Green sauce is a little extra spicy, but very good. Worth the trip to check out. It is one of the nicer "pay before you eat" style restaurants I have been to. read more

I like this place! Great food. Good flavor. Quick and friendly service. They keep it clean, I always see them sweeping or wiping table. Way better than going to a fast food restaurant and just a couple dollars more... great for a "don't feel like cooking night" The sauces are the best. The chicken is always so tender and juicy hence the name! Yuca is amazing. Only side I didn't care for is potato salad but to each their own .. I use to go to the crisp and juicy off Rockville Pike after tennis in HS. This place is just as good. The chicken is so juicy and delicious, you have to try the Orange hot sauce it brings out the flavor in the already scrumptious chicken. "Delicious chicken & perfect sauce" is this location's slogan on the enticing poster, but the taste stops there. We were looking for a healthier alternative to the cheesesteak joint and the McD's in the Frederick Shopping Center... It was healthier in the sense that we saved calories by not eating after a few bites. Rotisserie cooking is supposed to keep the juices in. The chicken sandwiches were thinly sliced, overlooked, very dried out. The best part of our three different (Chicken, Aloha, Gruyere) sandwiches was the bun. Crispy and juicy is very good in areas. I went there several times. I wanted to see what was better sardies or crispy and juicy. This is what I got. If you are looking for the best juicy chicken that's not crispy juicy. But if you are a French Fry eater and love more menu listing then that's crispy and juicy. Now here is the prob with this restaurant. I bought a fountain drink and thought it will be free refills well turns out you only get 3-4 refills before they start telling you no more. Not impressed with this place. I ordered the family platter (1 whole chicken plus 3 sides). The chicken was lacking flavor in comparison with other Peruvian chicken places. The yuca, plantains and Cole slaw were pretty good. However, they are super stingy with the sauces. I had to purchase extra. And once I tried them, they were absolutely bland. I've never had such bland sauces. I regretted that I bought more. read more

Clean and well kept dining area, the chicken is always delicious and the fried plantains are as good as you can get in Frederick. The only downside is the flimsy plasticware, but for the price of your meal you can't really go wrong! read more

I have visited this place many times and regularly bring others. Today, I received the worst service for my loyalty. I order the daily special and requested that one of the side be split into two boils. They counted that as two sides verse one. It will be my last time to eat at this restaurant. Very slow service for a Peruvian chicken joint. Staff was friendly, but they don't rate too good in the speed department. As for food quality, the chicken was fresh, and indeed crispy, but waaaaaaay too salty. They probably brine their chicken to keep it juicy and tender, but they could probably adjust the salt to water ratio. Then, as if the chicken wasn't salty enough, the skin was loaded with even more salt which made it inedible for me.....big bummer too, because I could peel the skin off of a whole chicken or turkey and eat it in one sitting. The yuca was good and crispy, which is tough to do. Fries were boring, clearly frozen and just deep fried, but thats ok. The rice was terrible. It tasted like boil-in-a-bag rice. The plantains were good...standard flavor. The sauces were decent, but the orangey-colored one was really salty too. If I could, I would only give 2 1/2 stars, but since the place is so new,maybe they need to work out the kinks. Ok, off to drink a gallon of water now. read more
