Ordered takeout recently and had a good overall experience. When we arrived, we didn't realize there was a separate entrance for carryout, but the staff was great -- someone actually walked us to the correct pickup area instead of just pointing, which I appreciated. The order was ready on time and the process was quick and smooth. We ordered a kids steak for my daughter (her first time trying steak!) and she gave it a thumbs up. She especially loved the mac and cheese, but the portion was very small -- just a few bites -- compared to the much larger portion of fruit. A little more balance there would be nice, especially since the fruit ended up being a bit sour and she didn't eat it. The desserts were the highlight. The crème brûlée cheesecake was delicious, rich, and flavorful. The chocolate cake was huge and a hit as well. Overall, a solid takeout experience with friendly service and great desserts. I'd definitely order again -- just hoping for a slightly more balanced kids meal portion next time.

We visited Firebirds for our 28th wedding anniversary. The server was very attentive, very nice, even the manager visited our table and had conversation with us. They surprised us with a free dessert. Food is very good. We both got salads if you enjoy salads I highly recommend. Happy hour is actually until 7 PM. The drinks are great, especially the martini.

Another stop my family and I made while traveling this summer was to Firebirds. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful space indoors with plenty of free outdoor parking available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most of us enjoyed our meal. The food was fresh and generous portions were provided. The burgers were seasoned well. The steak was well-done rather than medium well and that was highly disappointing because it was not what we asked for. I also really enjoyed the dessert. Service was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restrooms were nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lauren, our waitress was wonderful so the service was perfect and the food. Oh my gosh those ribs were just amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Is pretty cool it's not your typical your Woodfire Grill, I was expecting something different(bar like), not a nice and upscale restaurant as this is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]I'll definitely be back. A friend was in town for the holidays so a few of us got together to hang out before she returned home. It was my first visit to any Firebirds location and overall a good experience. The waiters were attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean, not noisy and had a cozy dinner ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food, I enjoyed the baby back ribs dinner. We also ordered the chicken pasta which was too salty. Complimentary bread is always a plus. All in all, not bad and pretty on par with similar establishments.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you have special dietary needs. After I placed my vegetarian & GF order with my excellent server Jacob, a manager came over to my table to inform me that the port mushroom side dish contained beef broth. So, I ended up with an entree of mixed vegetables, a plain baked potato, and charred carrots. I appreciate that the server and management care about allergies and dietary needs. The charred carrots are SO delicious and made the entire entree tasty. I wish Firebirds would open a restaurant in Northern NJ; preferably in Paramus.

The food was delicious. Our waiter, Jake, was phenomenal. He made sure he recommended amazing brunch options, as well as main menu favorites were explained. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment and total ambiance were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will surely return.

This was my first time trying out Firebirds. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday and this is where she decided to go. They were a little busy when we got there but sat us after about 10 mins. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a bit small on the inside but they do have a private party room that is quite large.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She ordered one of their signifiers cocktails and it was very good. The bread they serve before the meal was also very good with the butter they provide. My meal was a 10 out of 10 with the aged ribeye with baked potato (the freshly graded cheese is a nice touch). They went above and beyond for my gf's birthday bringing out a card signed by the entire staff and a complimentary piece of cheesecake. Can't wait to come back.

The server was so kind and greeted us warmly and maintained eye contact which is such a lost skill nowadays. The manager came by and asked how we were doing and she was super sweet as well. The food was delicious! I had the shrimp and grits. The sauce was perfect and the shrimp was also seasoned to perfection. The only thing I didn't like were the tomatoes but overall 8.5/10. My boyfriend had the hot honey sandwich and he loved it. He took a bite into and we realized that it had two chicken patties and got hyped lmao. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was calm and family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If we are ever in the area again we'll be back!

The dill pickle hummus was a standout starter as well. The pork belly and grits is a classic on their menu for a reason... rich, perfectly executed, and totally delivers on the hype. The duck breast and filet with foie gras butter were both exceptional mains... the kind of dishes that remind you why you go out to eat. Do not overlook the sides. The potato salad especially is criminally underrated. The Short Shorties mini cocktail flight was a fun and delicious way to start the evening... a Negroni, Manhattan and Martini all in miniature form. Honest and knowledgeable hospitality from Kat, outstanding seasonal food, and a creek-side patio that makes the whole experience feel special. This one is a must for Frederick.

We came here to celebrate a personal milestone and we did it at the last moment. Luckily, there was a table for it. We did not know what to expect, but some menu items had a nice twist to the dish. However, one dish was by far the best: the deviled eggs. The sauce and the prep was just amazing. It is not a lot of food and it is $20, but we both thought it was worth it to come back to eat it again. The other dishes we ordered were good, but the most memorable was the deviled eggs. I liked how they had a leaderboard for frequent customers though. That was cool to just stare at. The location has parking on the rocks and it was full by 6 pm on a Thursday. There is outside seating and limited inside seating. The bar area looked fairly busy because it was happy hour time. Its an old timey restaurant with a more mature setting that made us think of places like eating on Kent Island or Annapolis or St. Michaels. It is a hidden gem here - especially where it was located. While the garlic sauce was generous and delicious, the quality of the mussels themselves was disappointing. They were all open, but they had that "off" taste associated with older seafood. * The Main: Things turned around completely with the pork tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly and paired with a very flavorful sauce. Highly recommended! * The Dessert: Finished with the coconut cake. It was incredibly moist--perhaps a touch too sweet for my personal preference, but tasty enough that I'd definitely order it again. Overall, a great find with just a minor hiccup on the seafood. If the food was a notch better: I'd come more than once a year. I find Mays, Liberty Seafood and Avery's roughly the same, with Mays having the edge over the others (quieter too). For just crabs: order takeaway from Westpointe. For bulking up on food: Avery's. I actually enjoy eating at Avery's -- but it could be so much better if they improved the sides and service. It was our first year of dating anniversary but we failed to notice when looking the place up that they closed at 7:30pm. We walked in at about 7:40pm and the bartender regretfully informed us that they had just closed. We accepted the situation for the error it was on our part and opted to go elsewhere. So barely 3 minutes after walking up to the entrance, we were heading back to our truck. The chefs were still there and immediately asked us why we weren't staying to eat. When we explained that we hadn't realized they closed at 7:30, they looked at us and said, "Go back in there and tell them we said we're still open for you guys." We were a bit concerned that we'd cause hard feelings and said we could just come back a different day, and they wouldn't have it. "We're the guys who'll be cooking, not them, if we're okay with it, then what have you got to lose?" We looked at each other and thought briefly and headed back up to the entrance. I had mentioned that I had a spur of the moment 'hankerin' for German Food, and he said, "Well, you're at the right place!" Before we got back in the front door, one of the chefs (we learned shortly after were the owners) was already letting the bar staff know to get us seated and taken care of. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We of course sampled each others' dishes and it was beyond amazing on both entrees. Some of the best schnitzel I've had NOT in Europe, and the mushroom onion gravy was so savory and rich. The Chicken was loaded with flavor and I could definitely see that being on a future order for myself. After we were beyond stuffed, we decided to split a dessert for the occasion and had the Chocolate Mousse Cake. When the bartender learned it was our first anniversary, she made sure to get a candle to put in the cake for us, it was a very nice and welcoming touch. The bar staff was on their game with the service, keeping drinks full and checking on us frequently to make sure we were good to go. There were only two other tables still seated in the restaurant at that point, and they were actually there already eating when we first arrived. They were still there when we departed, so we assumed they may have been family friends or locally important patrons. The ambiance of the restaurant has a very British Pub feel to it, and it is so amazingly cozy and feels like home. We both left with an amazing impression and cannot wait for another chance to try some of the other menu options. I'm very curious to try the Filet Mignon next time, but the Stroganoff looked quite tempting as well. I think we both found a place that we'll absolutely keep on the short list of places to revisit next time we're in town. It was such a memorable experience and we so greatly appreciated the flexibility and hospitality they demonstrated. That type of service is so hard to find these days. Beyond that, I REALLY want to try those Eclairs on a Thursday!
