    Dark meat plate

This restaurant was not great, but not bad. It tasted like normal chicken, that I could have made at home. I thought it was going to be smoked, or seasoned with a good flavor. But the staff at this location was great with helping me pick the best dish they had.

    Moldy Mashed Sweet Potatoes

I am HIGHLY disappointed in this establishment. The service is not good and on top of that, they served me sweet potato with MOLD on it (see picture). I drove 10 minutes to get that and drove 10 minutes back only to find that my food contained mold. I DEFINITELY took the time to drive back to report this. Save your time and money and go elsewhere where the food is FRESH and the service is hospitable. When I asked for the manager, the cashier lied and said he wasn't there and I told her to get someone in charge. She rolled her eyes and shook her head and SURPRISE, the owner was there. He was nice but it doesn't account for the moldy food or his rude staff.

1/2 chicken with plantains and rice

I was really put off by the name of the restaurant as it does not sound appetizing but I'm glad we came in. It's located in a shopping plaza across from bone fish and it's pretty easy to find. They take your order at the counter when you come in and the menu has 1/4, half and full chicken in dark or white meat, lots of different sides and sandwiches. The chicken was good and tasted a bit different than other polla ala brasa that I've had but it was still juicy and good. The rice is cooked well, the fried plantains are tasty as is the fried yukka. They have mild and hot sauces but the hot one isn't very hot. The atmosphere is pretty average and feel's a bit cold.

It was raining hard and so it's perfect to eat Crisp & Juicy! Location is great, lots of parking and great tasting food!

There's a lot of potential here, but when your wagyu burger costs more than Le Diplomate's iconic burger in DC, I'm expecting something amazing. Every ingredient was very seasoned on its own, but when combined, the burger was overwhelmingly salty. I could barely taste anything besides salt. The cocktails were also overly sweet, and I regrettably had to send them back a couple of times. That said, our waiter's service was excellent. But this place needs a lot of improvement. Way too salty, too greasy, and overpriced.

You can also make reservations online. Since the restaurant is located in a mountain area, I had no reception or internet. All the dishes we had were pretty good. They start you with warm complementary bread with butter. The filet mignon was our favorite dish with soft meat and mashed potatoes. The sauce was a little sour to complement the meat. The linguini in the seafood linguine was cooked soft so it's good for little kids, but if you would like it more al dente, you'll probably have to let them know. There were 3 mussels, 2 scallops and several shrimp all cooked well. The green beans were cooked so they were still crunchy. Some of mine were a bit too undercooked for me. There as a good amount of meat in the veal and pork bolognese over pappardelle. The noodle were cooked well and long. The Maryland crab soup was part of the daily dinner special. Wish there was more crab in the Maryland crab soup since I saw a lot of vegetables. It was pretty spicy which wasn't noted on the menu. The crème brûlée was cooked very well. Crispy sugar top and creamy inside.

While the garlic sauce was generous and delicious, the quality of the mussels themselves was disappointing. They were all open, but they had that "off" taste associated with older seafood. * The Main: Things turned around completely with the pork tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly and paired with a very flavorful sauce. Highly recommended! * The Dessert: Finished with the coconut cake. It was incredibly moist--perhaps a touch too sweet for my personal preference, but tasty enough that I'd definitely order it again. Overall, a great find with just a minor hiccup on the seafood. We'll be back!

We stopped in for Sunday brunch, and it didn't disappoint. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is one of my favorite parts of dining downtown. We ordered the brunch special. (Not pictured: the Caesar salad, which is a must every time, and the short rib poutine--another favorite.) I had the blueberry muffin French toast with blueberry sorbet, and I'm honestly drooling just thinking about it again. My friend got the biscuits and sausage gravy with a fried egg, and it was absolutely delicious too. If you haven't been here for brunch yet, you're missing out. We found this restaurant after using Google Gemini…read moreto find "Authentic German Food" when we arrived in the parking lot, we saw the chefs sitting outside taking a breather next to where we'd parked, but thought nothing of it at first. It was our first year of dating anniversary but we failed to notice when looking the place up that they closed at 7:30pm. We walked in at about 7:40pm and the bartender regretfully informed us that they had just closed. We accepted the situation for the error it was on our part and opted to go elsewhere. So barely 3 minutes after walking up to the entrance, we were heading back to our truck. The chefs were still there and immediately asked us why we weren't staying to eat. When we explained that we hadn't realized they closed at 7:30, they looked at us and said, "Go back in there and tell them we said we're still open for you guys." We were a bit concerned that we'd cause hard feelings and said we could just come back a different day, and they wouldn't have it. "We're the guys who'll be cooking, not them, if we're okay with it, then what have you got to lose?" We looked at each other and thought briefly and headed back up to the entrance. I had mentioned that I had a spur of the moment 'hankerin' for German Food, and he said, "Well, you're at the right place!" Before we got back in the front door, one of the chefs (we learned shortly after were the owners) was already letting the bar staff know to get us seated and taken care of. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We of course sampled each others' dishes and it was beyond amazing on both entrees. Some of the best schnitzel I've had NOT in Europe, and the mushroom onion gravy was so savory and rich. The Chicken was loaded with flavor and I could definitely see that being on a future order for myself. After we were beyond stuffed, we decided to split a dessert for the occasion and had the Chocolate Mousse Cake. When the bartender learned it was our first anniversary, she made sure to get a candle to put in the cake for us, it was a very nice and welcoming touch. The bar staff was on their game with the service, keeping drinks full and checking on us frequently to make sure we were good to go. There were only two other tables still seated in the restaurant at that point, and they were actually there already eating when we first arrived. They were still there when we departed, so we assumed they may have been family friends or locally important patrons. The ambiance of the restaurant has a very British Pub feel to it, and it is so amazingly cozy and feels like home. We both left with an amazing impression and cannot wait for another chance to try some of the other menu options. I'm very curious to try the Filet Mignon next time, but the Stroganoff looked quite tempting as well. I think we both found a place that we'll absolutely keep on the short list of places to revisit next time we're in town. It was such a memorable experience and we so greatly appreciated the flexibility and hospitality they demonstrated. That type of service is so hard to find these days. Beyond that, I REALLY want to try those Eclairs on a Thursday!
