Outlaw Ribeye! Perfectly prepared & full of flavor!
    Joy Allison Z.

Great tasting food and equally great quality service are my barometer for a 5-star rating and I'm happy to give it to Longhorn Steakhouse in Frederick! It was Valentine's Day, and this carnivore was only going to be satiated by a steak & relaxed if it was NOT cooked at home! Our waitress was wonderfully patient throughout our kids' indecisiveness, and she didn't miss a beat when we devoured our first loaf of fresh warm bread, bringing us another so quickly! The kitchen managed to turn out apps in a timely fashion, despite the packed dining room! But what impressed me most, even before I sunk my teeth into the delicious & delectable Outlaw Ribeye, was just how impeccable the entire staff was! It takes a "team" to execute the kind of service this establishment achieves. As a waiter or waitress answered questions from their table another server would deftly pause to take dirty dishes out of their hands. There was an unspoken rhythm and melody in play here. It was also not lost on me that the age range in the wait staff was easily 50 years proving that teamwork across the age spectrum is more likely embedded in a top-down respect for a positive work environment. Let me get back to the food for a moment... because the warm bread and soft butter was followed by an even more generous salad, next time I'd probably forget ordering an app. (However, the spinach/artichoke dip was as incredible as the fresh pita bread it was served with.) My Ribeye was cooked to perfection! Seared with a hint of gristle on the outside, and equally juicy, tender and tasty on the inside! The massive baked potato must have been cooked slowly in a moist oven to achieve its fluffy consistency. Its skin was lightly basted with oil to crispen it, then rolled in course sea salt. Furthermore, the only part of this potato that was "loaded" came back to the quality of flavors in the butter, sour cream, scallions, shredded cheese and smokey bacon on top, proving that quality ingredients outweigh quantity! Management cares about their staff. The energy each employee exudes is real. They care, and they are cared for. KUDOS LongHorn! You have a model that's worth sharing. I look forward to coming back! [Disclosure: I was so busy enjoying my food, my family & taking in observations of the staff, that I completely forgot to snap of picture of my plate! So, I had my server snap this of a takeout version of my order, just to give you a visual.]

Yummy Rolls BUT i was having a burger and fries for dinner... bread before that?

Husband likes. I say meh. He had a steak (second time going). I had a burger. Best items - rolls to start with GREAT. Had one the next day and still very good - Caesar Salad very good. Husband loved steak. I really wanted to like the burger but it was tasteless and over salted. Service was very good and the restaurant's ambiance was fine, but the table was less than what would be expected for a formula restaurant. We sat in a booth. My seat was massively uncomfortable, had a ridge down the first third which dug into my backside. Husband will return when on travel; however, I will not. If you go get a steak, baked potato (looked very good), and a Caesar salad. This was worth the money. Oh- skip the margarita. Get a beer instead.

As always great food fast friendly service and a clean place to enjoy it all. I love this place and can't wait to go back. Unfortunately I'm trying not to get fat so it just a now and then restaurant for me.

This establishment got me.. I've been to several of the chains through out Maryland. Jack and Coke all day Long!! Great happy hour prices all day long!! Also an amazing lunch menu with affordable items on it! Mind you the regular menu is still decent and has a good selection of food.. I'm in love with the full rack of baby back ribs! The seating and decor gives that down south ranch vibes. From each location I've been to the service has been good and no issues whatsoever so ever. Make sure you come with an appetite. Enjoy!!!!

LongHorn Steakhouse: Ribeye w/ fully loaded baked potato
    Taahine M.

I ordered the ribeye steak (medium rare) w/ a fully loaded baked potato. My sis ordered appetizers (wings and the fried shrimp). Everything was delicious! My steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly! Chicken wings were flavorful and not dry! Shrimp was seasoned well too! I was surprised with the mac and cheese as it was delicious! Mac and cheese was creamy tasty! This was my second time to this location when visiting Maryland and just like the first time, it did not disappoint! The steaks, which is the reason why we come here in the first place, were cooked marvelously on both visits!!!

Me and the kids go here often. We love the steak. Service is always good and the bread isn't bad either.

There's a lot of potential here, but when your wagyu burger costs more than Le Diplomate's iconic burger in DC, I'm expecting something amazing. The cocktails were also overly sweet, and I regrettably had to send them back a couple of times. That said, our waiter's service was excellent. But this place needs a lot of improvement. I had driven two hours and was hungry, but I was also committed to making good decisions. Or at least mostly good decisions... The hostess offered me a seat at the second-floor bar rather than the quoted 25-30 minute wait. Great! Solo diners love surprise upgrades. Unfortunately, when I got upstairs, the one "available" seat had apparently been claimed by a diaper bag and a giant straw sunhat belonging to the woman sitting next to it holding a too-little-to-walk baby sitting at the bar. Uhhh...this isn't going to work. Back downstairs I went. I gave them my name and number, found a shady spot outside, and settled in for what I assumed would be a long wait. Five minutes later, my table was ready. Thank you, Universe! My server greeted me with water immediately, explained the QR code menu situation, and told me not to order through the app because she'd be right back. No worries, friend. I'd already done my homework. I knew exactly what I wanted. One Martha Stewart's Prison Pizza ($22), please. (Sausage, broccoli, ricotta, Calabrian chili peppers, lemon oil, and sea salt.) I asked for the chili peppers on the side because I know myself. I like adventure. I don't enjoy possibly setting my mouth on fire. And a Diet Pepsi ($3.50), because balance. While I waited, I people-watched, which is one of my favorite hobbies. White Rabbit was PACKED. The patio was full. The downstairs bar was full. Upstairs was full. Couples, groups of girlfriends, older folks, younger folks, families, solo diners...everyone seemed happy to be there. The place itself is pretty small, which explains the wait. Six tables downstairs, maybe eight bar seats, more seating upstairs, and a constant dance of servers carrying food through the same front door customers use. Add the "please wait to be seated" crowd gathering in the narrow hallway and I'd describe things as organized chaos. But once I was seated, I was perfectly comfortable and out of the traffic pattern. One cool touch I noticed: outlets and USB ports built right into the front of the bar. Maybe that's common and I've somehow missed it all these years, but I thought it was pretty neat. Then my pizza arrived. Oh good lawd. OH. GOOD. LAWD. This pizza was SO GOOD! I knew from the first bite that I was in trouble. There was no sauce, which surprised me at first, but after approximately three seconds I no longer cared. The sausage was plentiful. The broccoli added texture. The ricotta was creamy and rich. And that lemon oil?! That lemon oil set it off! Everything just worked together perfectly. The Calabrian peppers arrived on the side exactly as requested. I bravely sampled a very small amount on my fork before desecrating my pizza and quickly determined that folks with stronger heat tolerance than me will absolutely love them. They were just a little too spicy for my delicate tastebuds. Thankfully, the pizza was incredible without them. And those slices? MONSTERS. I ate one and seriously contemplated a second before reminding myself that I had dessert plans elsewhere. A box was requested. Self-control was exercised. Barely. As a solo diner, I also want to give White Rabbit extra points. Multiple staff members checked on me throughout the meal. I never felt forgotten, rushed, or weird sitting by myself. Everyone was warm, kind, and made me feel completely comfortable. I really appreciated that. My total bill came to $32.44 including tip which felt really reasonable given the amount of pizza I consumed and brought home. Worth every penny. I'm already scheming my next two-hour drive back. Maybe a smashburger. Maybe those Brussels sprouts everyone keeps raving about. Maybe another pizza. Maybe all of it! I highly recommend checking out White Rabbit. Make it a destination, not just a stop while you're in the area. Don't let the size of the place or the wait scare you off. It's totally worth it. PRO TIP: If you park in the Church Street Parking Garage, look for the staircase labeled "STAIR 3." White Rabbit is literally right outside the door at the bottom. No hide-and-seek required!

It was our first year of dating anniversary but we failed to notice when looking the place up that they closed at 7:30pm. We walked in at about 7:40pm and the bartender regretfully informed us that they had just closed. We accepted the situation for the error it was on our part and opted to go elsewhere. So barely 3 minutes after walking up to the entrance, we were heading back to our truck. The chefs were still there and immediately asked us why we weren't staying to eat. When we explained that we hadn't realized they closed at 7:30, they looked at us and said, "Go back in there and tell them we said we're still open for you guys." We were a bit concerned that we'd cause hard feelings and said we could just come back a different day, and they wouldn't have it. "We're the guys who'll be cooking, not them, if we're okay with it, then what have you got to lose?" We looked at each other and thought briefly and headed back up to the entrance. I had mentioned that I had a spur of the moment 'hankerin' for German Food, and he said, "Well, you're at the right place!" Before we got back in the front door, one of the chefs (we learned shortly after were the owners) was already letting the bar staff know to get us seated and taken care of. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We of course sampled each others' dishes and it was beyond amazing on both entrees. Some of the best schnitzel I've had NOT in Europe, and the mushroom onion gravy was so savory and rich. The Chicken was loaded with flavor and I could definitely see that being on a future order for myself. After we were beyond stuffed, we decided to split a dessert for the occasion and had the Chocolate Mousse Cake. When the bartender learned it was our first anniversary, she made sure to get a candle to put in the cake for us, it was a very nice and welcoming touch. The bar staff was on their game with the service, keeping drinks full and checking on us frequently to make sure we were good to go. There were only two other tables still seated in the restaurant at that point, and they were actually there already eating when we first arrived. They were still there when we departed, so we assumed they may have been family friends or locally important patrons. The ambiance of the restaurant has a very British Pub feel to it, and it is so amazingly cozy and feels like home. We both left with an amazing impression and cannot wait for another chance to try some of the other menu options. I'm very curious to try the Filet Mignon next time, but the Stroganoff looked quite tempting as well. I think we both found a place that we'll absolutely keep on the short list of places to revisit next time we're in town. It was such a memorable experience and we so greatly appreciated the flexibility and hospitality they demonstrated. That type of service is so hard to find these days. Beyond that, I REALLY want to try those Eclairs on a Thursday!

They start you with warm complementary bread with butter. The filet mignon was our favorite dish with soft meat and mashed potatoes. The sauce was a little sour to complement the meat. The linguini in the seafood linguine was cooked soft so it's good for little kids, but if you would like it more al dente, you'll probably have to let them know.
